Abstract: A rack includes: a casing; M pairs of supports that are provided inside the casing so as to extend in a depth direction and arrayed at regular intervals in a predetermined direction; and a lock mechanism. The rack can house all returnable containers of one or more prespecified sizes along the respective pairs of supports. The M pairs of supports are arrayed in N rows in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the predetermined direction. The lock mechanism is configured such that moving first and second shafts that are provided for the respective rows and for the respective tiers, respectively, so as to be movable in the predetermined direction can switch between engagement and disengagement between branches of the first and second shafts and first and second holes, respectively, of the returnable containers.

Abstract: Automated, environmentally monitored and controlled storage units and systems for storing, monitoring, and maintaining a supply of products, particularly temperature sensitive pharmaceutical and/or other high-value products, be they temperature sensitive or not. Such automated storage units contain an array of independently addressable holding locations for containers with product in one or more environmentally monitored (e.g., for temperature, humidity, etc.) and controlled zones fitted with appropriate environmental sensors. In preferred embodiments, the automated storage units also include a reader to track product information and status. Product loading, retrieval, and movement within such automated storage units is performed by a computer-controlled robot. A user interface device, preferably in communication with an application service provider to provide remotely managed inventory management and other services, provides users with inventory- and product-specific information.

Abstract: A robotics-assisted foundation installation system is provided in which data reporting the X, Y, and Z positions of foundation column tops are sent from a total surveying station to a grid control system. The grid control system receives the data and associates specific data with specific columns in an array—the “grid.” The grid control system compares the actual positions of the columns in the grid to target positions that were determined based on the requirements of the structure to be supported. After determining differences between the actual positions and the target positions, the grid control system sends instructions to column positioning tools associated with the individual columns. Actuators in a column positioning tool are directed by the grid control system to adjust the position of the associated column. Once the live streamed data confirms that each column is in the proper position, the columns are fixed in place.

Abstract: An acoustic mount is described for damping vibrations between a primary structure of a building and a secondary structure of a building and which has a vibration damper interposed in use between the primary and secondary structures. The vibration damper is resiliently compressible in the axial direction and has at least one resiliently compressible damper element which is elongated in the axial direction so that the axial length of the damper element is greater than half of a transverse width thereof. Abstract: A volumetric modular unit constructed at a modular unit factory and shipped assembled to a modular building project site is disclosed. A modular building constructed from shipped volumetric modular units is also disclosed. Features of a volumetric modular unit and modular building are designed to account for and leverage traditional building practices. Shipping constraints often dictate volumetric modular unit design constraints. The volumetric modular unit and modular constructed building addresses both design needs and shipping constraints to leverage more economical resources available at a volumetric modular unit manufacturing plant.

Abstract: A system and method of providing anti-monotony construction in a master-planned community (MPC), the method including: receiving a request for construction of a new home in the MPC, the request including a lot and a specification including details of the new home, the lot selectable from available lots in the MPC, the specification including one or more details selectable from available details; processing the request against a rule associated with diversity of the one or more details of the specification from details of lots identified as consecutive neighbors on one or more sides of the lot, the one or more sides and the details of the lots considered being identified in rule; and generating a status of approval or denial of the request based on whether at least one of the details of the specification matches at least one of the details of the lots identified as being consecutive neighbors.

Abstract: A rack arrangement for a data center includes at least one row of racks including a plurality of computer racks and an air handler rack. Each computer rack includes a computer rack frame including a housing unit for housing computer equipment. The air handler rack includes an air handler rack frame, a heat exchanger and at least one fan. The at least one fan is configured for pulling air into the air handler rack via an air inlet side and discharging air via an air outlet side of the air handler rack, directing air through the heat exchanger. An air inlet side of any one of the computer racks and the air outlet side of the air handler rack are on a cold aisle side of the at least one row of racks. At least one selected rack is stacked atop the air handler rack.

Abstract: A system of construction that performs advanced prefabrication of columns—beams type structure of buildings, prefabrication which results industrialization of this type of construction. The main development that allows this achievement in the same technical conditions, even better conditions than in the conventional system, is the massive use of braces as well vertically as horizontally. Such a building system is of special interest in areas where seismic risk is high because the building is very lightweight, constituted of a set of structurally self-sufficient units, heavily triangulated and therefore hardly deformable, all these at an affordable cost.

Abstract: A system and method for providing small animal veterinary care is provided. The system and method includes providing an enclosed garage adjacent to a veterinary exam room and the garage includes entry and exit garage doors at opposite ends of the garage. A vehicle holding a small animal is received into the garage through the entry garage door. Without going outside the small animal receives veterinary care, such as outpatient veterinary care, which may occur in the adjacent exam room. Following the provision of care, the vehicle exits the garage through the exit garage door. The garage and the veterinary exam room are located under a common roof, such that the small animal is able to be moved from the vehicle directly into the exam room without going outside.

Abstract: A mixed reality (MR) system that implements navigation methods for 3D models in MR environments. The navigation methods allow a user to navigate themselves about a 3D model (such as an MR environment including one or more buildings/structures) while in an MR environment. The navigation methods include an elevator feature or navigation mode that allows the user to move accurately between “floors” of the 3D model used to provide the MR environment (move to a next upper or lower floor from their present position). The navigation techniques include a jump feature or navigation mode. The jump feature allows the user to move to any point in an MR environment created using a 3D model that they can presently see in the display of the MR environment or a location that may be partially obscured from the user's view.

Abstract: A wind turbine with a switchgear arrangement is described. The wind turbine includes a tower, a rotor supported at an upper end of the tower, a generator, a transformer for increasing the voltage output of the generator prior to supplying a collector grid, and switchgear arranged between the transformer and the collector grid. The switchgear includes a first switching device associated with the transformer, and a second switching device associated with one or more cables connecting the wind turbine to another wind turbine in the collector grid. The first switching device is connected to, but located remotely from, the second switching device.

Abstract: In a structure which forms an upper structure and a lower structure divided by an anti-vibration pad for vibration isolation therein, since the concavo-convex type shear key is formed using the precast concrete shear-key block, the construction can be precisely performed according to the predetermined standard. Therefore, a vibration isolation structure using a precast concrete shear-key block and an anti-vibration pad which are capable of effectively blocking vibration and noise, and a constructing method thereof are provided.

Abstract: A wind turbine station for generating electricity comprising a multi floor structure having open framing. The open framing comprising at least two spaced-apart, open, vertical frames, the frames each made primarily of uncovered beams and columns. The station has a plurality of vertically spaced, horizontal, interior platforms forming the floors of the structure, each interior platform extending between and joined to both of the frames over the length of the frames. Wind turbines are mounted on the structure about the outer periphery of each platform. The wind turbines face outwardly and are each operatively connected to a generator to produce electricity. In a preferred embodiment, the structure has an annular shape with an outer cylindrical or polygonal prism frame and an inner cylindrical or polygonal prism frame spaced from the outer frame. The interior platforms have a flat, ring shape. The invention includes a method for building the station.

The incarceration unit provides the usual inmate activities of living, eating, exercise, study and conversation in a facility having a lower risk of violence to inmates or guards, and of undesirable activities, such as drug trafficking or riots by the inmates.
