Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polybutadiene by anionic polymerization at a low temperature, in which the microstructures thereof is controlled to polybutadienes having diverse physical properties. The present invention provides a method for producing a polybutadiene by anionic polymerization of 1,3-butadiene in the presence of a polymerization initiator and under the conditions of a reaction temperature not higher than the boiling point of butadiene, wherein the polymerization is performed in the presence of a potassium salt in an aprotic polar solvent or in a mixed solvent of an aprotic polar solvent and a nonpolar solvent. The potassium salt is preferably potassium t-butoxide, and the solvent is preferably a mixed solvent of tetrahydrofuran and hexane. The resultant polybutadiene can be used in an adhesive composition and in a plate-making material composition used for flexographic printing plates.

Abstract: Crosslinked polyolefin blends, methods for their production, and articles made of the same are provided. In at least one specific embodiment, the polyolefin blends comprise a first polymer formed in a first reactor and a second polymer formed in a second reactor. The first and second polymers, as well as the resulting blend, may comprise units derived from propylene, ethylene, and a diene. The blended composition can then be compounded with one or more coagents, antioxidants, UV sensitizers, and/or other additives and crosslinked, preferably by exposure to UV radiation and/or energetic photons. Abstract: The present invention discloses an acrylate nanocomposite material which can apply to optoelectronic device encapsulation, dental restorations and light waveguide. The acrylate nanocomposite material comprises an inorganic nano-particle, an acrylate monomer with at least one acrylate group, an imidized acrylate oligomer and a photo-initiator. The acrylate nanocomposite material photopolymerizes to form an organic/inorganic 3D network wherein the absorption (%) is 0.01 to 5.00 and the permeability (g mm/m2 day) is 0.01 to 10.00 thereof. Abstract: The present invention relates to a photo-curable and thermo-curable resin composition and a dry film solder resist make it possible to provide the dry film solder resist having superior heat-resistance and dimensional stability while exhibiting more improved alkali developing property. The resin composition may comprises an acid-modified oligomer having carboxyl group (—COOH) and photo-curable functional group; a photo-polymerizable monomer comprising a compound having a structure of that 3- or more functional epoxy acrylate groups are bonded to a heterocyclic structure containing nitrogen, and a functional group having carboxyl group is bonded to at least one epoxy acrylate group; a thermo-curable binder having thermo-curable functional group; and a photo-initiator.
Abstract: A novel alkali-soluble polymer compound including a dehydrogenated pimaric acid and/or its isomer as a repeating unit, and a photosensitive resin composition including the alkali-soluble polymer compound as an effective binder matrix are provided. A photosensitive resin composition using the alkali-soluble polymer compound including a dehydrogenated resin acid has excellent photosensitivity and developing characteristics cause a less deformation in a firing process, has excellent elasticity. Thus, the photosensitive resin composition is advantageous for curing various transparent photosensitive materials, in particular, materials of column spacers, an overcoat, a passivation layer, or the like, used for fabricating color filters of an LCD.

Abstract: An alkali development-type solder resist includes (A) a carboxyl group-containing photosensitive resin obtained by reacting (a) a compound having two or more cyclic ether or thioether groups in the molecule with (b) an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, reacting the product with (c) a polybasic acid anhydride, reacting the resulting resin with (d) a compound having a cyclic ether group and an ethylenic unsaturated group in the molecule, and reacting the product additionally with (c) a polybasic acid anhydride, (B) an oxime ester-based photopolymerization initiator containing a specific oxime ester group, (C) a compound having two or more ethylenic unsaturated groups in the molecule, and (D) a thermosetting component, wherein the dry film obtained by applying the composition has an absorbance of 0.3 to 1.2 per 25 ?m of the film thickness at a wavelength of 350 to 375 nm.
Abstract: Method for making multifunctional particles. The method includes flowing a first monomer stream loaded with a fluorescent entity along a microfluidic channel and flowing a second monomer stream loaded with a probe adjacent to the first monomer stream along the microfluidic channel. Abstract: A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition capable of giving a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which simultaneously realizes satisfactory holding power, adhesion, and peel resistance in peeling from curved surfaces, while balancing these properties, and has satisfactory heat resistance. The composition comprises the following ingredients: (A) a maleimide crosslinking agent having two or more maleimide groups per molecule; (B) a monomer which, when caused to homopolymerize, gives a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of ?40° C. or lower; (C) a carboxylated monomer copolymerizable with the monomer of the ingredient (B); and (D) a photopolymerization initiator, the maleimide crosslinking agent of the ingredient (A) being contained in an amount of 0.01-2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the monomers of the ingredients (B) and (C).
