Abstract: A method for dynamic presentations management of electronic presentations including multiple slides, wherein each slide has at least one presentation constraint parameter assigned thereto, and wherein a presentation software is used for generating and displaying the presentation can include gathering metadata regarding the presentation by the presentation software, evaluating the metadata regarding the presentation and determining at least one presentation constraint parameter by the presentation software, and automatically arranging and/or selecting slides and/or modifying a content of slides according to the determined at least one presentation constraint parameter to be presented by use of the presentation software.

Abstract: A mapping system comprising processes for creating and displaying structured geotagged data using interactive digital geographic imagery is disclosed. In one embodiment, a mapping system comprises processes and logic for creating a geo tag for structured data. A user creates a geo tag for a property of an object by selecting a geographic location on an interactive digital map and selecting the property of the object from a dialog presented to the user in response to selecting the geographic location. In this way, the user can more quickly and easily create structured geotagged data than can be accomplished using typical approaches requiring the user to manually enter geographic coordinates to associate a geographic location with structured data.

Abstract: A classification method and system for possible content alteration of a media work may include criteria regarding content that is feasible for alteration. Such criteria may be maintained in records that are accessible to an interested party. Some embodiments may include a record of primary authorization rights applicable to a possible content alteration. A further embodiment feature may include a record of secondary authorization rights applicable to substitute altered content incorporated in a derivative version. Various techniques may be used to incorporate substitute altered content in a derivative version of the media work in accordance with applicable substitution guidelines.

Abstract: A method of controlling an image display apparatus, and which includes receiving, via an interface unit of the image display apparatus, an input signal indicating at least one mobile terminal is connected to the image display apparatus; receiving, via the interface unit of the image display apparatus, text information input on the mobile terminal during reproduction of a video displayed on the image display apparatus; displaying the text information on a display unit of the image display apparatus; and displaying, on the display unit, a timeline indicating a time length of the displayed video and indication information indicating when the text information was input on the displayed timeline.

Abstract: A central controller associated with a performance interacts with portable interactive devices such as smartphones in a venue to provide a shared user experience. The controller may be linked to portable interactive devices by a Wi-Fi link in the venue. Additionally, the controller may need to interface with the outside world via the Internet to add information to the experience. In order to prevent excessive bandwidth demands on the Internet connection, a URL filter is coupled to block all requests for connection to the Internet except those required for running the interactive system or device and transferring information. The filter permits access to a limited number of specific URLs for selected social networks, e.g., Facebook®. Permitted data is throttled to a low data rate so that it is acquired over time. It is unnecessary to gather the data in real time. Consequently, bandwidth requirements are minimized.

Abstract: An electronic device selectively couples a head with links in a graphics processing unit to a currently selected display port in a pair of display ports. During operation, control logic in the electronic device monitors a pair of configuration signals from the pair of display ports, where the pair of configuration signals correspond to physical connections to the pair of display ports. Then, the control logic determines a selection control signal based on the monitored pair of configuration signals, a policy setting and a default display port, where the selection control signal specifies the currently selected display port. Moreover, the control logic provides the selection control signal to a multiplexer in the electronic device. Next, the multiplexer selectively couples the head with the links in the graphics processing unit to the currently selected display port based on the selection control signal.

Abstract: A browser and operating system (OS) compatibility system may include a user interface to select a first combination of a browser and OS for comparison to a second combination of a browser and OS. A download engine may capture source files for browsers for the first and second combinations. A parse engine may create Document Object Model (DOM) trees of objects of first and second website pages respectively for the browsers for the first and second combinations. A metric engine may read the DOM trees for attributes of the objects to capture metrics of the objects. An analysis metric engine may compare a metric of an object of the first website page to a metric of the same object of the second website page to determine a compatibility of the browser and the OS for the first combination to the browser and the OS for the second combination.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is directed to a system and method for displaying graphics, text, animation, video and other content. In one embodiment of the invention, the system comprises a three-dimensional “Display Carousel” system. The system may include one or more display windows, each of which is capable of displaying different content. The configuration of the windows may give the appearance of rotating like a carousel and also of the carousel and/or images being three-dimensional. Other features of the invention may include functionality which permits the uploading and downloading of content, statistical data gathering, and revenue generation.

An instruction is provided to an audio system of the Computing device to play a sound wave at a frequency. The frequency is audible by the targeted age group but not an older age group according to a frequency audibility table. A web scrapping operation can be performed on the web page after the web page is downloaded by the web browser. The targeted age group can be persons eighteen years of age and younger and wherein the frequency comprises a twenty kilo-hertz value (20 kHz).

A list of events is aggregated and provided for the channel associated with the channel player. Upon a request by a user, an event from the list of events may be streamed to the channel player.

Abstract: In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, methods and apparatus are provided for flexible and user-friendly navigation of loaded media in a multi-media presentation, such that a user may be able to view and/or edit the presentation. In one embodiment, a method for navigating loaded media comprises loading a page of a collage document to a client device, the page having a plurality of layers with each layer being associated with a media object. The method further includes creating a list of layers of the loaded page, each layer indexed by at least a position in the collage document; navigating the collage document in at least one direction and at at least one speed based on user input; and filtering the list of layers based on at least the position in the collage document and a visual window of a user interface to display visible layers of the page within the visual window. A client device for navigating loaded media is also disclosed.

The method can include transforming a presentation master file defining a multimedia presentation into each of a text file and a variables file, generating a plurality of slides for a slide show with text strings from the text file and imagery and audiovisual elements from the variables file, and launching the slide show. Transforming a presentation master file into each of a text file and a variables file can include additionally transforming the presentation master file into a visual markup language document emulating the multimedia presentation. As such, in an aspect of the embodiment, the method further can include detecting an assistive technology, and rendering the visual markup language document in lieu of the slide show.

Abstract: The intelligent console method and apparatus of the present invention includes a powerful, intuitive, yet highly flexible means for accessing a multi-media system having multiple multi-media data types. The present intelligent console provides an interactive display of linked multi-media events based on a user's personal taste. The intelligent console includes a graph/data display that can provide several graphical representations of the events that satisfy user queries. The user can access an event simply by selecting the time of interest on the timeline of the graph/data display. Because the system links together all of the multi-media data types associated with a selected event, the intelligent console synchronizes and displays the multiple media data when a user selects the event. Complex queries can be made using the present intelligent console. The user is alerted to the events satisfying the complex queries and if the user chooses, the corresponding and associated multi-media data is displayed.

Abstract: A system is provided for widget to widget communication. The system includes a first device, a second device, and a communication server. The first device and/or the second device are a mobile device. The communication server provides a first widget to the first device and provides a second widget to the second device, wherein the first widget and the second widget are portable code that is installed and executed in a corresponding runtime environment without additional compilation. The first widget, when executed by the first device, communicates information that identifies content associated with the first widget and a state of the content via the first device to the communication server. The communication server communicates the information and the state to the second device. The second widget, when executed by the second device, presents at least some of the content based on the information and the state in coordination with the first widget presenting the content.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for selecting qualifying frames from an image sequence for use in subsequent stitching into a composite panoramic image are disclosed. Incoming frames from any source may be cropped and downscaled prior to evaluation against qualifying criteria relating to image overlap and local motion. Qualifying images are saved and/or output. The resulting panoramic image generally uses fewer qualifying images and appears smoother and has fewer artifacts than those of the prior art. The qualifying criterion for image overlap is a predetermined overlap margin or percentage between a current image and a previous image from the sequence. The qualifying criterion for image motion includes a maximum amount of local motion, often due to passing objects. The embodiments may process incoming images in real time or from stored sequences. Problems may trigger user warnings.

Abstract: A system and method are described for managing instantiation of interface elements in a rich Internet application (RIA) that includes systematically creating a tree of descriptive nodes that describe the visual interface elements of the application. Only interface elements that are not stacked under other objects or not fully hidden on the screen are instantiated using the corresponding descriptive nodes. Detail objects corresponding to the descriptive nodes are then constructed and used by a rendering engine to render the visual interface elements of the declarative application. As the user moves to locations within the application that are stacked under other objects or are hidden, the descriptive nodes and detailed objects are created representing the interface elements of those locations for rendering by the rendering engine.

Abstract: A system and related method are disclosed for the creation of language-led collaborative multimedia documents. The method includes receiving a first user's identification of at least one term, receiving an instruction from the first user or a second user linking that at least one term to an exhibit, and displaying the term to other users with a representation of the exhibit that, when selected, causes the exhibit to display. The first user can control who is invited to link an exhibit to a given term, and who can see which portions of a completed document, or exhibits attendant thereto.

Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure generally relate to a method of retrieving video data of multimedia content. In an example, the method includes determining a first interval between switch points for a first representation of the multimedia content and a second interval between switch points for a second representation of the multimedia content, wherein the first interval is less than the second interval. The method also includes, based on the determination, submitting one or more network requests for an amount of video data from the first representation that has a playback time that is at least equal to a playback time between switch points in the second representation. The method also includes, after submitting the request for the amount of video data from the first representation, retrieving video data from the second representation.

Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus of a playable music library building in a streaming media environment are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of a server device includes, creatin a streamable playlist associated with a user, determining that the streamable playlist is associated with an artist, and determining that a central database includes new tracks of the artist, automatically adding the new tracks to the streamable playlist without charging a consideration to the user. The method may include communicating an alert message to the user when the new tracks may be added to the streamable playlist. The method may create a category playlist associated with the user based on a category of a media content. The method may include determining that the central database may include additional tracks in the category. The method may request that the user to add the additional tracks in the category playlist.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for converting live presentations into electronic media and managing captured media assets for distribution. An exemplary system includes capture devices that capture media assets of live presentations comprising a session, including image data of sequentially presented visual aids accompanying the live presentations and audio data. Each capture device has an interface for real-time image data marking of the image data for identification of individual images and session marking of the image data for demarcation of individual presentations of the session. A centralized device processes the captured media assets and automatically divides the captured media assets into discrete files associated with the individual presentations based on the session markings. An administrative tool manages the processed media assets to produce modified presentations and enables modification of the visual aid images identified by the image data markings.

More particularly, systems and methods to present a series of videos in response to a selection of a picture made by a user are provided. A user may select view a first image and select a thumbnail of a second image. One or more videos corresponding to a path existing between a node associated with the first image and a node associated with the second image may then be presented to the user. Following the last video, the second image may then be displayed to the user.

Contemporaneous presentation of the video data with audio data may be synchronized based at least in part on the audible events and the visual events.
