    Abstract: A grease guide structure for a transmission device suitable for a sunroof of an automobile or the like. The transmission device includes a worm wheel and a pinion shaft, which are drivingly connected through a friction clutch mechanism. In order to prevent grease flowing from the worm wheel onto the friction clutch mechanism, a cup washer is mounted between the worm wheel and the friction clutch mechanism, with the center portion of the cup washer being higher than its peripheral portion. Therefore, if grease falls onto the cup washer, it will further flow and finally fall into a grease intake slot which is arranged below the cup washer to be stored therein.

    Abstract: A conventional lock-up solenoid having a long delivery tube and mounting bracket with outwardly extending mounting legs is mounted on a transmission torque converter case requiring a lock-up solenoid with a short delivery sleeve. In effect, the spacer shortens the long delivery tube so that it fits the space of a short delivery tube lock-up solenoid. If the transmission is one requiring a long delivery tube, it is installed without the spacer and as any other replacement lock-up solenoid.

By adoption of a face gear/cylindrical pinion-stage instead of the commonly used bevelled-stage, not only a more reliable drive is possible, but its efficiency is higher, due to less friction, its size is smaller, its adjustment is simpler such that straight forward replacement becomes possible, and - not in the least - the transmission ratio of said angle drive tends to high ratios in contrast to known bevelled-drives which tend to low ratios. In many cases one or even more stages less become possible, providing a further important reduction in weight and size.

The breating hole is provided in the form of an oil passage extending from hydraulic equipment within the valve body and includes an open-end section disposed in an upper part of the valve body. The open-end is located at a point higher than the working oil level in the automatic transmission. When the automatic transmission is at work, oil in the oil pan is used to lubricate, so the oil level is at its lowest level and the open-end section is above that oil level and thereby connects with air space in the valve body.

    Abstract: A motor case end plate structure, comprising: a motor case accommodating a motor unit therein and provided with a first radial bearing for a rotor shaft of the motor unit; a radial flange provided at an open end of the motor case; and an end plate, made of molded synthetic resin, having a second radial bearing for the rotor shaft and adapted to be attached to the motor case by way of the flange; the end plate being provided with at least three separate peripheral mounting surfaces disposed around the rotor shaft and projecting from surrounding parts so as to substantially directly abut an outer end surface of the flange of the motor case. Thereby, any error in the planeness of the mounting surfaces or any error in their perpendicularity with respect to the axial line of the motor unit can be readily corrected by shaping the part of the die for molding the end plate corresponding to the mounting surface to be corrected without requiring excessive cost or time.

The housing of the transmission is integrally formed with a generally annular flange which is joined with a generally annular flange of the casing of the torque converter by fastening bolts so that the joining surfaces of the transmission housing and the torque converter casing are in tight contact with each other. Each fastening bolt is disposed through the bolt holes which are respectively formed in the flanges of the transmission housing and the torque converter casing. A plurality of depressions are formed at the joining surface of the transmission housing flange in such a manner that each bolt hole merges in the depression, so that projected and depressed parts are formed in the joining surface. The projected part is in contact with the joining surface of the torque converter casing flange.

An oil intake passage is provided in the pump manifold, a starting end of the oil intake passage communicating with the oil pan, and a terminating end of the oil intake passage communicating with the oil pump through the filter. The pump manifold also includes an oil feed passage for feeding oil from the oil pump to the valve body, and an oil return passage for returning clean surplus oil from the valve body into the oil intake passage downstream of the filter.
