    Abstract: An electronic system to control the cooling of molds in glassware forming machines, wherein the articles and/or the molds in which said articles are being produced, are subjected to a suitable cooling to control the thermal relation therebetween so that the articles can be suitable handled and shaped. In this system, the velocity of the machine, the heat profile of the glass gobs and the gob weight are continuously detected and fed as signals to a microprocessor which determines the heat exitation of the molds when receiving the glass gobs, in order to control the necessary cooling air flow rate and compensate for variations in the thermal conditions of the molds.

    Abstract: Beverage product, especially adapted for rapid administration of water and carbohydrates to the human body during periods of heavy muscle work, which consists of a preferably monosaccharide-free solution containing 3-25% by weight of a mixture of soluble oligosaccharides with DP values between 2 and 10 inclusive, the average DP value of the oligosaccharide mixture preferably being in the range 3-5; at least one physiologically acceptable alkalizing compound or compound combination; and optionally salts occuring in body liquids and suitably aroma and taste-improving substances, all of them in minor amounts; the solution's content of the physiologically acceptable alkalizing compound or compound combination being such that when the beverage is consumed during heavy muscle work (e.g. at 60% of the maximal aerobic capacity) in an amount of 250 mls each fifteenth minute during one hour gives an increase of the pH value in the vertricle contents to above 3.5, preferably above 4.5, especially above 7.0.

    Abstract: The hinged door of a cargo container is provided with a locking mechanism contained wholly or mainly within the thickness of the door to draw the door into a closed and sealed position with respect to its surronding door frame. In one arrangement the mechanism has a tapered locking bolt that can be slid into a receiving recess in the surrounding door frame such that engagement of one face of the bolt taper with the socket urges the door into its fully closed and sealed position as the bolt is extended into the recess, and when the bolt is retracted engagement of the recess with the opposite face of the bolt taper breaks the door seal. In another arrangement the mechanism has a rotary pin projecting into a cam track to effect locking engagement.
