  • Patent number: 4335812
Abstract: Artist's sketch box tray is a rectangular tray with partitions for holding the artist's equipment. The tray can be vacuum-formed plastic, wood, metal or other comparable material, can be enclosed in a paper or transparent polymer tube for sale, and can be inserted into a carrying case to form a sketch box. The carrying case has a top closure for holding the equipment in the sketch box tray, a front pocket for pads and panels, straps for carrying wet or dry canvasses, and loops to carry a tripod easel so that all artist materials can be conveniently carried.

  • Patent number: 4332145
Abstract: System for making frozen food article comprises a refrigeration source of high capacity, a food-freezing chamber normally maintained at ambient temperature and of low thermal capacity, a source of food or vegetable juice or puree for freezing, and a controller. The controller controls the refrigeration source to maintain an adequate supply of chilled coolant, controls the discharge of the coolant liquid to a coolant jacket around the frozen food chamber for rapid chilling, controls the discharge of food material to the chamber, controls the beating of the food material while it is freezing, and finally controls the discharge of the resultant beaten frozen food article into a receiving cup.

  • Patent number: 4331261
Abstract: Single newspaper security dispenser structure retrofits within a presently conventional newspaper-dispensing rack. The dispenser includes a sliding table within a housing which fits and floats within the newspaper rack. The table rests on the top newspaper, slides out of the housing when the rack door is opened and draws a single newspaper out underneath with the table and through a front opening in the housing. The relative height of the dispenser table and housing, and the length of the paper-pulling tongue are adjustable in accordance with paper thickness.

  • Patent number: 4324111
Abstract: Freezing gel containment structure is comprised of a plurality of adjacent tubes. The tubes are secured in adjacent edgewise relationship and each is separately filled with freezing gel. The tubes are tall and narrow and are sufficiently filled so that they have some cylindrical structural strength. The containment structure comprised of the plurality of tubes is strong enough to stand.

  • Patent number: 4319402
Abstract: The gaging system is for measuring the position of reference locations on an automobile chassis with respect to the standard location at proper configuration. The gaging system comprises a locator bed with a replaceable grid paper thereon which has standard locations marked on the grid paper. Adjustable length plumb lines are supported from the reference locations and, when the chassis is in correct configuration, the plumb bobs point to the location marks on the grid paper. The locator bed can be removed for chassis bending, but the plumb lines and their bobs can remain in place during the bending operation.

  • Patent number: 4317578
Abstract: The chucking system is used with a machine tool having a spindle which drives a chuck. The chuck-tightening sleeve can be locked to the machine tool frame so that rotation of the spindle causes tightening or loosening of the chuck, depending upon direction of spindle rotation. In this way, key-locking of the chuck is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4315601
Abstract: Chemical injector comprises injector structure for injecting a solution from a reservoir into a flowing stream, usually water. The reservoir is at atmospheric pressure, and a chemical solution is withdrawn therefrom by Venturi action, with flow rate being controlled by passage size. Alternatively, an injector pump can positively pump the reservoir solution into the flow stream when the flow rate is too low for Venturi action. A flow control valve is also connected to a bottom portion of the piston of the pump to control the amount of chemical solution flowing from the reservoir to the flowing stream.

  • Patent number: 4284274
Abstract: Exercise device has a pair of bars each for the grip of one of the two persons exercising with the device and a tension member between bars. The tension member is of such length so that, when the two persons exercising are foot-to-foot and each grasping his respective bar, one of the exercisers is supine and the other is bent forward to a toe-touching angle. With each pulling on his respective bar and swiveling on the hip joints, the exercising persons alternate supine position.

  • Patent number: 4282948
Abstract: Small constant power engine drives liquid filled flywheel to store large amounts of kinetic energy. When motor vehicle acceleration is desired, the flywheel liquid is coupled to a turbine which is connected through a drive train to drive the rear wheels. The transfer of liquid from the flywheel kinetic energy storage to the turbine controls vehicle acceleration.

  • Patent number: 4275977
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a vacuum conveyor which periodically receives a polymer film bag from a bag-making machine and intermittently advances the bag to a work station. If work is to be performed at that work station, the vacuum is cut off and the bag is operated upon. At the work station, the bag may be printed, cut, stacked, wicketed, provided with handles, provided with a sealed-in drawstring, or delivered to a second conveyor. The apparatus may include one or more work stations, and the method comprises advancing the bag to the selected work station, turning off the vacuum at that work station to aid in the bag delivery, and working on the bag.
