Abstract: Macerator housing has a flange at each end and a flow channel therebetween so that the macerator can be connected into a sewage line for flow therethrough. A pair of power-driven shafts are mounted transversely to the flow direction and each carries a plurality of inter-engaging spaced macerator cutters thereon. The macerator cutters do not reach the outer housing walls, but there is a bypass flow space therearound. Screens are positioned on the inlet side of the housing to direct flow into the macerator cutters, but the screens permit fluid flow through the bypass space around the macerator cutters.
Abstract: The camera quadripod is formed of a pair of bipods, each having a pair of adjustable legs and each having a pair of arms which can embrace a camera. The pair of bipods cooperate together in conjunction with the camera body so that they become a quadripod and serve to support the camera. The adjustment of the legs controls the orientation of the camera. The bipods are small enough to be carried in the photographer's pocket when not in use, and are quickly and easily engaged on and removed from the camera body.
Abstract: Wicketing pins on wicketer which receives bags from a plastic bag-making machine are infinitely adjustable so that the tips of the pins can be accurately positioned to properly receive the bags.
Abstract: Tennis exercise aid comprises a tight wound tension spring having a manual handle at each end. One manual handle is in the form of a tennis racket handle, and the other is a resilient foam-covered tennis racket handle. The one manual handle is covered with a material different from the resilient foam-covered other handle.
Abstract: Audio-visual display device is enclosed terrarium containing living plants of normal size. One or more models on small scale of living creatures are located in the terrarium and are powered to move. The small-scale models of the creatures have the effect of making the plants look larger. A pump to produce simulated rain or a music device to produce music are optional additions to enhance the effect.
Abstract: The cassette-to-cassette duplicator is for the one-at-a-time automatic duplication of successive blank tape cassettes from a master tape cassette. The duplicator is made up of a continuous feed magazine of blank cassettes; a changer which moves the cassettes from the magazine to the tape transport and, after duplication, away from the tape transport; and the tape transport itself, which winds the tape within the two cassettes while playing back the master tape and recording a duplicate.
Abstract: High intensity radiant energy is supplied to the surface of food items by a quartz iodide lamp. A temperature probe which senses both the ambient temperature in the toaster housing and the lamp radiance controls the on-time of the lamp to produce the desired surface temperature to accomplish the desired cooking.
Abstract: Dual projection lens systems are housed together to project adjacent stereo images onto a screen in stereoscopic position relationship. An ultra-violet filter is positioned on the optical axis of each lens system, and toward the screen a separate polarizer is positioned on each axis to provide polarized images to be seen by the viewer through binocular-polarized eyepieces. Heat sinks are attached to the filters for removing heat.
Abstract: Thermodynamic unit comprised of a pair of vessels which alternately generate and condense vapor are connected in a sealed system to drive a turbine with the vessel generating vapor having an outlet nozzle directed to the turbine and with the turbine exhaust being connected to the vessel condensing the vapor. Thermal control shutters and particular thermal radiation shutters control the alternate impingement of radiation onto the vessels so that the vessels each alternately act as vapor-generating and vapor-condensing vessel, and each operate at the function opposite from the other vessel.
Abstract: Capsule-gripping jaws are positioned on the end of resilient arms. From the unflexed position, a capsule can be inserted into the jaws to be resiliently grasped and retained during scoop filling of the capsule. After filling, the capsule is released in the first and second preferred embodiments by flexure of the arms and, in another preferred embodiment, by pressing out the capsule by flexing a release arm.
Abstract: Work table has fence thereon for supporting and locating workpiece. Hold-down bars and guide bars are secured to a mounting bar and are movable so that the hold-down bars lie across the workpiece. A carriage is movably mounted on the guide bars and is arranged to carry a router across the workpiece so that the workpiece can be routed.
Abstract: Motive unit carries stretch-wrap unit around stationary material to be wrapped. Guide ski follows around the material to be wrapped and controls the steering of the motive unit so that the material is wrapped into a unit.
Abstract: Wax pen extrudes wax at a controlled temperature from a nozzle for building a wax pattern such as is employed in the lost wax casting process. The wax pen carries its wax in a cylinder from which the wax is forced through a delivery barrel and out of the nozzle. Wax temperature is sensed in the delivery barrel to control the heating of the wax in the barrel and in the cylinder. The wax may be expelled by a spring-driven or a motor-driven piston.
Abstract: The camera quadripod is formed of a pair of bipods, each having a pair of adjustable feet and each having a pair of arms which can embrace a camera.
