Abstract: A fitting or connecting corrugated tubing has a through opening and a liquid tight corrugated tubing connecting portion. The connecting portion has a shank to receive the corrugated tubing and a collar of greater diameter than the shank. The collar extends along the shank from a shoulder in the fitting and terminates before the end of the shank. Pawls in the connecting portion extend from the shank between the collar and the end of the shank. The pawls are hinged and have bevels and a bearing surface. The collar on the shank has an outside diameter slightly greater than the inside diameter of the corrugated tubing which renders the connector liquid tight when engaged with the corrugated tubing. The pawls resiliently extend to engage themselves in an inner corrugation of the corrugated tubing. Various pawl configurations engage the inside corrugations of corrugated tubing for a quick and firm liquid tight connection.

Abstract: A three piece sofa bed recliner has an end frame, seat frame and back frame. The frame ends are linked overlapped. Interengaging the seat frame with the back frame enables a simple conversion process from sofa bed to recliner. The back frame and end frames fold toward each other as the interlocked seat frame is moved backward. The end frame and back frame interlock with the end frame leg and the seat frame and back frame interlock releases during conversion. Reconversion is a simple forward pull unfolding the respective frames on their legs with an extending pivoted leg set between the end frame and back frame. Wheels facilitate movements. The end frame may be used to be a chaise lounge.

Abstract: A container for quick connection and disconnection to a dialysis generator, the container having a substantial amount of solid compound for extemporaneous and continuous preparation of dialysate obtained from dissolution of a concentrate and/or from the solid compound in treated water. A conduit leads the water from an inlet orifice to the container, where the treated water passes through the solid compound and therethrough to and outlet orifice and into the dialysis generator. The water may be directed through a conduit within the container or through a conduit outside the container. The inlet and the outlet orifices may be provided with a micron filter.

Abstract: A protective plastic insert is provided for a conventional golf cap. The insert is substantially hemispherical and is engagable within the cap. The cap is size adjustable. The insert adapts to the size change of the cap. Thus a single size insert fits most golf caps. The shape and hardness of the plastic protect the wearer against the impact of a stray golf ball.

Abstract: An expandable and retractable garment that is comfortable to wear, having a front portion and a back portion and including a tubular waist casing formed at a waist opening of the skirt or pants and receiving a elastic band, which is fixed at two points to the back portion and freely extends through the tubular casing at the front position. A free end of the elastic band provided with button holes or snaps extends outwardly of the casing on said band through an opening and is fastened by the fastening means to the back portion as said garment is adjusted in the waist.

Abstract: A safety net assembly and system is provided which includes at least two rods having attaching brackets at their ends. The brackets may be engaged over ledges in a frame that defines an opening over a subterranean work place. A net or webbing is slideably engaged on the rods, so that it may be opened for access and spread to cover the opening, to prevent a person from falling through the opening when the assembly or system is in place. Where there are insets in the ledges, the assembly or system may be left in place without interfering with the placement of a normal cover for the opening.

Abstract: A molded plastic strain relief bushing and method includes a body with a channel. A hinged head on the body has one portion contiguous with the channel. There is a well and key receiver at the well. Wire or cable is laid in the channel, locked into the channel in strain relief engagement. The head is then folded over the wire or cable and the strain relief bushing engaged in an aperture. The function of holding the wire or cable is separate from the function of engaging the strain relief bushing. The split head enables the functions to be separate and yet permit the laying in of the wire or cable without the awkward need to thread the wire or cable through a fixed opening in the strain relief bushing.

Abstract: A premold cap and core with its specific configuration saves labor and material in the making of heavy duty female connectors. The premold core and cap receive female receptacles that are crimped to lead cable. The premold then is cast into a female connector. The female receptacles are capped in place held in insets in the core. The cap is hollow and receives the core locking the female receptacles in place. The cap replaces the prior art fiber disk and presents polarized openings for polarized male pins with flag-like ends. The engaged male pins on a male connector are rotated so that the flag-like end are beneath the polarized openings and cannot be disengaged without rerotation of the connectors.

Abstract: A progressive stamping strip for electrical parts is provided with a spaced away wire safety crimp. The stamping strip may be used to automatically crimp leads to both the electrical part and the wire safety crimp. The wire safety crimp is severed from the stamping strip separate from the electrical part. The wire safety crimp retains the wires together and retains them in the plug. The present invention provides an electrical part with a wire safety crimped on a lead, as well as a molded plug with the wires protected against exposure from the plug.

Abstract: A mold or molds are provided to repair a substantially conical break in plate glass. The mold enables a repair to include a bead overriding the surface of the glass, particularly on the wider side of the break, providing an effective repair. The bead extending beyond the periphery of the break obscures the outline of the break.

The syringe body (11) has a tubular end (16) with an interlocking structure cooperating with that of the sleeve (4) of the handle (1) and the shape of which is adapted to interlock with said sleeve, and a protecting shell (12) having a locking section (22) capable of covering the tubular end (16) and the sleeve (4) so that they are locked in their interlocking position, said protective shell (12) being adapted for sliding along the syringe body (11) between two extreme positions, i.e. a forward position where it totally covers the injection needle and a pulled back position where it frees it and covers the interlocked tubular end (16) and sleeve (4).

The female disconnect has a pad rising from its base, preferably lanced from the base. The lancing provides a firmness to the pad interacting with the metal of the base which holds a metal tab well, with a desired low insertion force and low withdrawal force that retains and does not easily degrade upon reuse. The pad preferably has a flat bearing surface.

Abstract: In an audio speaker system and speaker-cabinet combination, a speaker positioned in a cabinet is mounted to the cabinet by a mounting assembly made of non-resonant material and clamping a flange of the speaker so as to prevent contact of the speaker with the cabinet wall, and at the same time flush with the front panel of the cabinet. The cabinet is substantially non-resonant and may be made of plywood or plastic.

Abstract: The engine described herein is adapted for a continuous supply of compressed gases and includes a first and second compressor mounted on a common shaft with a turbine. The air which enters the engine is compressed by the first compressor and passed into a combustion chamber, wherein it is mixed with fuel and the mixture is ignited. Resulting combustion products are conveyed to the turbine which is driven thereby and are further compressed by the second compressor. The compressed exhaust is led into an exhaust chamber via openings provided in an end plate, at which the common shaft supporting the compressors and the turbine terminates.

The assembly of the screw and a strain relief bushing permits the conventional strain relief bushing to optionally hold and release cable without risking the loss of the retaining screw from the bushing.

Abstract: A holder for an implement such as a mortar board which is to be horizontally positioned, comprises a back plate having slots which receive a worker's belt so that the holder can hang on the belt and an L-shaped frame which has a vertical portion selectively attachable to the back plate and a horizontal portion which has two elongated supporting arms which protrude outwardly away from the back plate and are disposed in spaced relationship. The handle of the mortar board is inserted into the space between the arms so that the flat board rests on the two supporting arms. When the handle is engaged between the two supporting arms and the board rests on the supporting arms, both hands of the worker are free to conduct other operations.
