Abstract: A collapsible hammock support that selectively receives a hammock. The hammock support includes a ground engaging hammock support frame assembly and a rotatably attached hammock shade support frame assembly. The shade support frame assembly can be disposed at various lateral dispositions to selectively orient a sunshade attached thereto.
Abstract: The knock down shelter and storage structure of the present invention includes a base frame assembly formed by interlocking beams. A vertical wall assembly engages the base frame and includes a plurality of corner uprights. A plurality of intermediate uprights and plurality of wall panels slidably engage the uprights to form an enclosed structure. A roof assembly is formed from a plurality of rafters and a plurality of roof panels that slidably engage the rafters. The roof assembly includes transverse members at the forward and rearward portions of the rafters. The assembly forms a rigid known down structure.
Abstract: There is disclosed a periodical with a plurality of leaf-like pages bound together like a book and held together at a spine. In such an arrangement at least some of the leaves are adhered together as a unit which is detachable from the spine and can be detached from the periodical and preserved separately.
Abstract: A collapsible fire escape ladder. A plurality of folding ladder sections are retained in the folded position by a retractable ladder retention means that slidably engages retention posts fixedly attached to the respective ladder sections. A pivotally mounted ladder entry step is attached to the proximal end of the ladder retention means to facilitate emergency escape through a window or the like. In an alternative embodiment of the ladder, the ladder retention means includes an exit platform having an exit portal disposed when said ladder retention means is retracted above the rungs of the ladder sections.
Abstract: A sofa bed recliner with a back frame that has no rearward movement when converting from a sitting position to a horizontal position, is provided with simple support legs, which facilitate the ease of converting and reverting the sofa bed recliner and providing proper support against overbalancing. The legs drop from beneath the seat frame when it is pulled forward and retract over the base, beneath the seat frame, when reverting. The legs have a stop so that they cannot get entangled with the base when the seat frame us lifted. A tension spring biases the back frame to facilitate movement.
Abstract: In the repair of breaks in glass a valve is employed in conjunction with a syringe to accumulate vacuum, apply pressure or accumulate pressure, for more effective, easier and less expensive repair. Tubing may be used to enable remote actuation of the apparatus or use of the system or method. The syringe cooperates with an adhesively attached pedestal with a chamber.
Abstract: A deck bracket is provided for attaching a deck to a building. The deck bracket includes a wide flange and a narrow flange spaced away from each other by a web. The deck bracket is then easily joined to the building, preferably by screws, and the deck easily bolted to the deck bracket. The deck is thus spaced away from the building so that there can be no moisture accumulation.
Abstract: Outdoor storage piles of a particulate solid commodity are protected from the weather by a novel, open celled, shrinkage controlled, water absorbing sponge blanket applied to the pile in a rainwater protecting thickness, and a method for producing said sponge blanket employing an aminoplast resin prepared from urea formaldehyde or a prepolymer of urea and formaldehyde and modified with 4 to 12% fructose, and a suitable foaming agent containing an acid accelerator, such as phosphoric acid in a ratio of 2% by weight of resin.
Abstract: A one piece molded plastic strain relief bushing includes a well and key. The portions of the bushing may be engaged, latched in the well. The latching within the well serves the double function of holding the bushing with a cable engaged and compactly providing such holding with a maximum of strength and a minimum of bulk. The bushing enables saving of cost in the insertion of the cable into the bushing and saving cost, inserting the bushing with the cable into an aperture.
Abstract: A liquid tight connector accepts a non-metallic conduit grasped by fingers on a clip grasping above an annular ring on a ferrule. A compression nut engages the fingers. The configuration enables labor saving insertion and effective liquid tight integrity in an inexpensive device.
Abstract: An extendable level consists of two interslidable parts having a track and slide strips in a simple construction, wherein there is always a planar relationship between the level edges. The slidable extension rests within the length of the main body when unextended.
Abstract: An energy efficient frost free refrigerator having a cooling compartment a freezing compartment and a single refrigerating element is defrostable during refrigeration off cycles by the circulation of air within the refrigerator. The refrigerating element is physically located above the freezing compartment. Defrost of the refrigerator is accomplished without objectionable defrost of what is in the freezing compartment and without the need to introduce generated heat to effect the defrost. The configuration of the elements protects what is frozen within a pool of freezing air, protected against defrost. A circulating fan may be used to implement the process. The configuration of the refrigerator of the present invention enables an economy of energy use and construction cost.
Abstract: The invention features a static dissipative elastomeric outer coating for an electronic package composite. The coating is characterized by its superior abrasion resistant and electrical properties. The coating chemically bonds with the conductive layer and has superior static dissipative qualities characterized by a surface resistivity in the range of between 10.sup.5 and 10.sup.11 ohms per square.

Abstract: A sofa bed recliner which provides a sturdy, simpler inexpensive structure for reverting a seat frame and back frame from a horizontal position to a reclining position by the engagement of a freely pivotable detent, which interlocks the frames, allowing the frames to be simultaneously moved from a horizontal to a reclining position. The detent is automatically released as the back frame resumes reclining position.
Abstract: A domestic security closure in a form of a cabinet having a front opening (9) defined at the top of a framework (2) partially embedded in the floor and providing a guide for a pair of rigid steel doors (10,12) which can be lifted by use of a counter-weighted chain drive system (20,21,24,25) from a retracted position below floor level (8) to a raised position in which they are locked in place securely to close the cabinet, for instance using a mortise deadlock (29) and a locking bar (27). The flush floor enables entry of relatively bulky and valuable items without lifting.
Abstract: A deck bracket and method is provided to attach a deck to a building. The deck bracket includes a wide flange and a narrow flange spaced away from each other by a web. The deck bracket is then easily joined to the building, preferably by screws, and the deck easily bolted to the deck bracket. The deck is thus spaced away from the building so that there can be no moisture accumulation. The method of construction includes placing the deck bracket adjacent sheathing, caulking it and protecting the area with siding covering it.
Abstract: The invention features a method and apparatus for altering the mood of an individual. A facial mask is provided that excludes external stimuli while providing visual and auditory stimulation designed to influence the brain wave pattern. The visual stimulus introduces a continuous, uniform light of a particular color. The light stimulus is designed to produce an effect known as ganzfeld, wherein there occurs a complete loss of visual sensation.
Abstract: A composite jewelry article is made from a selection of radial armed pieces which are stackable and joinable with a pin stud. The pieces offer an interchangeability of different parts to assemble infinite design combinations.
