  • Patent number: 5845848
Abstract: A deicer includes a water tank storing water and an antifreeze solution tank storing an antifreeze solution. The water tank and the antifreeze solution tank are provided with heat exchangers, respectively. Pumps are further provided for feeding the water and the antifreeze solution in the respective tanks to a spray nozzle for spraying out a mixture of the water and the antifreeze solution. A gas turbine is provided for driving the foregoing pumps. Exhaust gas of the gas turbine is introduced into the heat exchangers through a control of valve switching so as to hold temperatures of the water and the antifreeze solution in the respective tanks to be constant. Further, bleed air of the gas turbine is fed to an air nozzle so as to be jetted out therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5844131
Abstract: In an apparatus for measuring the tire pressure in a pneumatic tire of a vehicle by means of a measurement value sensor, which is acted upon by the tire pressure, on the rim bed (12) of a rim (10), which accommodates a tire valve (20), for the pneumatic tire, connected to the tire valve (20) is a signal housing (44) which is associated with the rim bed (12) and which includes an electronic sender means as the measurement value sensor for the tire pressure. The signal housing (44) is connected to the tire valve (20) by a hollow screw (40) which engages into the valve bore (28) and is adjustable relative thereto in such a way that the tire valve/signal housing combination can be used for equipping different rim cross-sections. That purpose is also served by base elements (52) which project from the underneath surface of the signal housing (44) and which sit on the rim bed (12) and which with the suspension point on the screw (40) form a multi-point mounting configuration.

  • Patent number: 5837052
Abstract: Contaminated coal ash, for example flyash contaminated with carbon is introduced to hot clinker in a cooler downstream of a cement kiln; the carbon is combusted in the cooler to provide a cement clinker having an effective content of flyash free of carbon; this permits use of flyash contaminated with carbon without the need for separate special steps for carbon removal; volatile contaminants or contaminants having a volatile component, for example adsorbed ammonia are similarly removed in the cooler by volatilization.

  • Patent number: 5836190
Abstract: A process for extruding a section or the like body from an ingot is such that an ingot is introduced into a bore of a container and, by means of an extrusion stem, is fed in the direction of extrusion into a shape-giving opening in a die. Before the ingot enters the die opening, it is pushed out of the container by an amount corresponding to the width (t) of a collar whereupon a disk-shaped slice is sheared off the free end of the ingot and removed. The free end of the ingot is then pushed onto the die opening. In order to carry out this process a shearing tool is provided after the end of the container facing the die and a moveable shearing blade positioned over that entrance to the container boreThe disk-shaped slice should preferably be sheared away together with a residual butt of the previously extruded ingot which faces away from the die. To that end a shearing tool with two shearing blades is provided and can be moved radially with respect to the longitudinal axis (A) of the container bore.

  • Patent number: 5833098
Abstract: A spear tube comprises a body connected with a keg neck interface of the beer keg. A gas valve, a down tube and a beer valve installed in the down tube are fittingly connected to the body. A stopper prevents the spear tube from popping out from the beer keg during detaching operation. A stopper portion of the stopper is formed protruding in the obliquely upward direction to penetrate a side hole of the body and has a cross-section a predetermined curvature shape. Therefore, the stopper functions to prevent the popping-out of the spear tube and is improved in its durability.
