Abstract: A signal waveform analysis method includes: determining a trend component of an object signal by applying a zero-phase filter to the object signal; determining an oscillatory component of the object signal by removing the trend component from the object signal; determining a wavelet scalogram by performing a wavelet analysis on the oscillatory component; and determining an oscillation period of the object signal with which the wavelet scalogram indicates a maximum. The signal waveform analysis method is employed to evaluate vehicle dynamic characteristics.

Abstract: A surgical thread is made of a metal, polymer or biological material embodied in the form of a spiral whose diameter ranges from 0.5 to 5 mm. The thread has a diameter ranging from 0.1 to 1 mm and exhibits the properties of a compression or extension spring obtainable by heat treatment. Also a method is disclosed which is characterized in that it consists in introducing the spiral-shaped thread into subcutaneous soft tissues in order to tighten and fix said tissues by means of a puncture needle in bore of which a thread-spiral exhibiting the properties of a compression or extension spring is fixed from outside or from inside. When the needle is extracted the thread-spiral remains under skin preserving the compression or extension properties thereof, thereby producing a skin compression or extension effect.

Adjacent one of the trip strips are oriented to converge towards each other at a first end to form an apex portion and to form a region in which turbulence is created. The apex portion is oriented at an angle with respect to the first direction.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a cooling microcircuit in a blade-outer-air-seal is provided. The method broadly comprises the steps of forming a first section of the blade-outer-air-seal having a first exposed internal wall, forming a second section of the blade-outer-air-seal having a second exposed internal wall, and forming at least one cooling microcircuit on at least one of the first and second exposed internal walls.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved multi-point injector for use in a gas turbine engine or other types of combustors. The multi-point fuel injector has a plurality of nozzles arranged in at least two arrays such as concentric rings. The injector further has different fuel circuits for independently controlling the fuel flow rate for the nozzles in each of the arrays. Each of the nozzles include a fluid channel and one or more swirler vanes in the fluid channel for creating a swirling flow within the fluid channel. A method for injecting a fuel/air mixture into a combustor stage of a gas turbine engine is also described. At least one zone has a flame hot enough to stabilize the entire combustor flame.
