Abstract: The invention relates to a device for accommodating flat materials when separated by laser, water-jet, cutting torch or milling. The slot provided under the separating device is displaced by enlarging one bearing surface and reducing the size of the other bearing surface when the separating device is moved, whereby damage to the bearing surface is reduced when cutting any particular contours. The invention enables separation, targeted sorting of the separated parts and the clearing away of the remaining materials.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved multi-point injector for use in a gas turbine engine or other types of combustors. The multi-point fuel injector has a plurality of nozzles arranged in at least two arrays such as concentric rings. The injector further has different fuel circuits for independently controlling the fuel flow rate for the nozzles in each of the arrays. Each of the nozzles include a fluid channel and one or more swirler vanes in the fluid channel for creating a swirling flow within the fluid channel. A method for injecting a fuel/air mixture into a combustor stage of a gas turbine engine is also described. At least one zone has a flame hot enough to stabilize the entire combustor flame.

The mirror comprises a housing, to which a mirror element that is optionally deformable is allocated. The aim of the invention is to construct the mirror element with an oval, in particular elliptical shape.
Abstract: A method for determining any fluid mixture composition and for measuring material quantity by detecting light absorption, especially infrared light, emitted by an emitter (12.1, 12.2) in a fluid to be analyzed having non absorbed and non reflected components that are detected by a receptor (18.1, 18.2). According to said method, light is emitted directly from the emitter (12.1, 12.2) to the receptor (18.1, 18.2) through said fluid. Additionally, the light going through a channel (10, 16) before and/or after the fluid is dispersed at least once. The distance between emitter (12.1, 12.2) and receptor (18.1, 18.2) can be continuously altered. Electronic components are provided with a switch enabling to remove any interference light.
Abstract: SPM sensor comprising a holding element, cantilever and a sensor tip, which projects out of the surface of the cantilever, at the free end of the cantilever, at least the cantilever and the three-surface sensor tip consisting of monocrystalline (100)-silicon, and a process for producing this sensor. The process is distinguished by inexpensive process steps, substantially wet-chemical etching steps. The result is that an SPM sensor with a rectangular cantilever arm having a tip which may or may not project beyond the free end is produced from a single piece.
Abstract: A conduit has a first end and interior and exterior surfaces extending downstream from the first end. A strainer has a first end and a second end. An upstream portion of the strainer is positioned engaging a projection on the interior surface of the conduit to resist downstream shifting of the strainer. A strainer body extends at least partially downstream of the upstream portion. The apparatus may be used as a strainer/coupler and may be used to filter water in a chiller apparatus.
