Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved system for installing a vane in a gas turbine. The system includes a receptor pocket positioned within a first support structure and a boot attached to a first or inner end of a vane for insertion into the receptor pocket. In a first embodiment of the present invention, the receptor pocket is formed by machining it into the support structure. In accordance with the present invention, the inner end of the vane having the boot is first inserted into the receptor pocket. After insertion has been completed, the vane is rotated until an outer base is brought into position against an outer support structure. The outer end of the vane is then secured to the outer support structure using studs and nuts.

Abstract: An operation method for a gaming machine sets a target payout rate, probabilities of winning, and odds on a plurality of objects. The objects are rearranged in order of the probability of winning. The odds on the object in first place are corrected to odds with a predetermined number of digits. The probability of winning of the object in the first place is corrected by the corrected odds. The difference between the uncorrected probability of winning and the corrected probability of winning is reflected in the probability of winning of the object in the subsequent place. The odds on the object in the subsequent place are predetermined based on the corrected probability of winning of the object in the subsequent place. The whole processing is repetitively performed for the objects in all places.
Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic machine tool, for the production of base structures, for false teeth, in particular, for tooth crowns and/or tooth bridges of exact three-dimensional shape. Said base structures may be fixed to prepared natural and/or artificial tooth stumps. The machine tool comprises a machine frame, or a body, a work piece carrier, with a rotation shaft, at least one digitization unit, at least one machining unit and an electronic arithmetic and control unit for all drive lines. A carrier for the workpiece, a blank, and/or for the machining unit(s), serves as displacement unit, with three translational axes in the x-, y- and z-directions. The digitization of the preparation model and the machining of the blank are carried out on the same machine tool, at different times. The machining paths for the blank are calculated from the measured and stored digitized data and a predetermined material-specific scaling factor, before the machining of the blank.
Abstract: A process for preparing a bimodal emulsion of viscous hydrocarbon in water includes providing a stream of water at ambient temperature; providing a liquid additive that tends to gel when mixed with water at temperatures less than a gelling temperature TG; heating the stream to provide a heated stream at a temperature TC which is greater than ambient temperature and less than the gelling temperature TG; feeding the heated stream to a mixer having a mixer inlet so as to impart energy to the heated stream; adding the liquid additive to the heated stream downstream of the mixer inlet, whereby the liquid additive mixes with the stream and the energy inhibits gelling of the liquid additive to provide a substantially homogeneous solution of additive in water. The solution is then divided and used to make two different droplet sized emulsions which are mixed to form the bimodal emulsion.
