  • Patent number: 7726219
Abstract: The invention is a CNC machine tool, namely a CNC lathe, that includes a horizontal main spindle. The unfinished parts to be machined are supplied to the machine tool horizontally to the working compartment by a handling device integrated into the CNC control, and are then supplied via the handling device to a chuck that is to the horizontal main spindle. The machine tool according to the invention is particularly well-suited for small machining runs.

  • Patent number: 7717045
Abstract: A folding table is disclosed. The folding table includes two top panels hingedly connected together to form a table top having a top surface and a bottom surface. The table top has a folding action about the hinged connection of the two top panels. Four leg panels depend from the bottom surface of the table top. Each of the leg panels has a first section and a second section. The first section has a top edge hingedly connected to the bottom surface of the table top and a side edge hingedly connected to the second section. The leg panels are arranged in two pairs of leg panels wherein the second section of each thin leg panel in the respective pair is hingedly connected to the other resulting in a stiff leg member. The hinged action of the two interconnected second panels fall in a plane of symmetry with the folding action of the table top whereby the folding table may be collapsed from a deployed state forming a table to a folded state for storage and portability.

  • Patent number: 7707762
Abstract: A modular integrated rail system for a firearm includes an upper hand guard having a dovetail rail extending longitudinally between the forward end and the rearward end thereof. The rearward end of the upper hand guard includes a clamp that removably secures the upper hand guard to the barrel nut of the firearm. The rearward end of the upper hand guard and the clamp include clamping surfaces configured to cooperatively engage the outer surface of the barrel nut. The upper hand guard further includes mounting channels that are used to mount accessories, such as a lower hand guard or a grenade launcher, to the upper hand guard. The rear end of the upper hand guard includes alignment tabs for automatically aligning the dovetail rail of the upper hand guard with the dovetail rail of the upper receiver during mounting. The tabs also prevent rotation of the rail system relative to the upper receiver during use.

  • Patent number: 7711478
Abstract: A novel mapping paradigm is provided for the visual display of information in the form of an improved navigational aid. Unlike today's road maps which use a point-arc-polygon paradigm, the new mapping paradigm uses a compressed linear-pictographic-topological design that typically depicts roads as vertical linear pictograms. Further, the display has a columnar layout, whereby the descriptive elements are grouped together by type, and displayed one above the other in columns. In this manner, the mapping paradigm also serves to increase traveler safety, provide navigation assistance during address-less trips, create valuable advertising space and new promotional opportunities, and dramatically increases the travelers' communications and entertainment options.

  • Patent number: 7702556
Abstract: The method for selecting and evaluating investment portfolio asset allocation strategies includes the step of constructing a record of investment performance statistics for a population of all possible asset allocation alternatives. A series of the average of the periodic returns for the population of securities within each of a number of market sectors is generated. Each allocation alternative is determined from the unique combination of multiples of the minimum allocation percentage increments for each of the market sectors. A list of the population of all possible allocation alternatives is then compiled from the population of all combinations of multiples of minimum allocation percentage increment for each market sector. The series of weighted-average periodic investment returns for each of the allocation alternatives is then calculated. The record of performance statistics is completed by calculating population-comparison statistics for a plurality analysis-periods.

  • Patent number: 7694894
Abstract: A method and system for the spray application of epoxy materials is provided. The system includes a dual walled tank structure as a reservoir for containing and preheating the epoxy materials in preparation for mixing and spray application. Each component of the epoxy material is preheated before the components are mixed. After preheating, the components are then mixed together and spray applied. The method and system of the present invention provides a high quality spray applied epoxy coating while reducing equipment down time and cleaning.

  • Patent number: 7688524
Abstract: A molded optical filter is provided having effective filtering of energy emissions at an optical density (OD) of greater than 4 in three energy emission bands corresponding to the wavelengths of laser emissions while preserving the wearer's ability to differentiate and recognize colors and having a pleasing overall color. The selective optical filter is a moldable polymer filter that has three dyes therein to produce sharp notch filtering ranges at about 530 nm, 700 nm and 1060 nm and a fourth color balance dye therein to adjust the overall color of the filter making it more pleasing and desirable to the wearer.

  • Patent number: 7686267
Abstract: A clamp assembly for use in connection with an operating table rail is disclosed. The clamp assembly includes a top clamp member, a base clamp member and an operating lever to move the top clamp member relative to the base clamp member. The base clamp member and the top clamp member include complimentary V-shaped channels that allow the clamp assembly of the present invention to be installed on the sterile side of the surgical field. The base clamp member is provided with dual guide pins and an actuator pin, extending upwards from the base clamp member and through the top clamp member. The actuator pin is affixed with a fastening means to engage the top of the actuator pin and the base clamp member together. Further, the base clamp member includes apertures for receiving various surgical support fixtures.
