Abstract: An umbrella base is comprised of a body portion containing a power source for powering umbrella lights or electrical devices or appliances used around the umbrella or other furniture accessory held by the base. A power console is provided for use on or above the base to provide connectivity to the power supply.
Abstract: A wear tip for a rotor of a centrifugal mineral breaker, comprises a carrier 80 having at least two wear edges 82, 84 each disposed transversely to the path of mineral material being ejected from the rotor. A longitudinally extending groove 122 between the first 82 and second 84 wear edges forms a rock retaining recession. Each wear edge 82, 84 has a wear face 108 with a recess 106 therein. An insert 112 of abrasion resistant material is disposed in each recess 106. Each insert 112 has an outer wear surface and an arcuate inner surface 114 conforming to the profile of the recess 106. The outer wear surface of each insert 112 is generally in planar alignment with the wear face 108 of one of the wear edges 82, 84.
Abstract: An improved contactor nest for receiving and holding IC devices against a pin board interposer during the test or burn-in of the devices includes a frame having an IC pocket with a top opening, which is oversized in relation to the footprint of the IC device for which the contactor is designed, and centering guide walls for guiding an IC device to be tested into the pocket from the oversized top opening to the IC device seating plane. The centering guide walls have a gradual angle relative to the insertion axis of the IC pocket, and extend down to a bottom perimeter portion of the IC pocket immediately adjacent the IC seating plane for gradually centering the IC device in the pocket as the IC device approaches the seating plane. Preferably, the angled guide walls extend far enough into the IC pocket to allow the spring pins of the pin board interposer to scrub the contact pads of the IC devices as the IC device is being centered.

Abstract: A heat retaining sleeve for raising the cold spot temperature of a fluorescent lamp is comprised of a base end, a distal end, and a sleeve body sized and shaped to fit over the end of a fluorescent lamp or lamps where the lamp's cold spot exists. The sleeve creates a heat retaining air gap between the inner surface of the sleeve body and the lamp end or ends with the cold spot, and has sufficient length to so that, when fitted over the lamp end or ends, the cold spot temperature is elevated to a temperature that increase the lumen output of the fitted fluorescent lamp or lamps.
