  • Patent number: 7069219
Abstract: A web hosted system and user interface in a client-server architecture permits audio designers to perform acoustic prediction calculations from a thin client computer. A client computer or other Internet connect device having a display screen is used by an audio professional to access via the Internet a host computer which performs acoustic prediction calculations and returns results of the calculations to the client. The results of the calculations are returned in the form of data visualizations, such as an area view showing visualizations of sound pressure levels within a defined space, an impulse view showing the time domain response at a defined location, and/or a frequency domain view showing the frequency response at a defined location. Calculations are performed based on user-defined inputs, such as speaker type and location, sent to the host computer from the client computer and based on retrieval of loudspeaker data from one or more databases accessible by the host computer.

  • Patent number: 7004623
Abstract: A disposable sheath for a data logger probe comprises a mounting plate 12 and an elongated sheath 14 attached perpendicularly to the mounting plate for insertion through the wall or top cover and into the interior of a container, the mounting plate having inwardly projecting overlap members 22 and stop bosses 20 for mounting a data logger on the mounting plate, and the sheath having a longitudinal bore 60 in communication with an aperture 48 in the mounting plate for insertion therein of a data logger probe for measuring the environmental conditions on the interior of the container while keeping the data logger on the outside of the container for viewing of displayed information related to those conditions.

  • Patent number: 6719178
Abstract: A chest-mounted paint carrier and method for painting comprises a low profile paint receptacle depending from a mounting plate positioned at a painter's chest level, the paint receptacle hinged and pivoted from the mounting plate such that it is maintained in an upright position at all times, the receptacle having a lower dimension extending not below the painter's waist for ergonomic and efficient placement of the paint receptacle and improved access to the paint. A new method of painting using a chest-mounted paint carrier increases freedom of movement and frees both hands of the painter for other uses.

  • Patent number: 6708441
Abstract: The present invention is a device for detecting the presence of a fish on a fishing line, comprising a sensor for measuring tension on the fishing line and generating an electronic signal related thereto. The signal is processed by a filter circuit which removes signal components caused by environmental conditions such as winds, wave and current action, boat drift or snags. The filter circuit produces a signal output only if the tension reading is characteristic of a fish bite on the line. The preferred form of the invention includes two parts: a detecting and transmitting device for attachment to a fishing rod, and a receiving device which also functions as a storage box. A rotatable control is provided for adjusting the sensitivity of the device. The filter output is encoded by the transmitting device, and transmitted as radio waves. The radio waves are received by the receiving device, converted back into an electric signal and decoded.
