  • Patent number: 7120312
Abstract: A system for recovering degraded images captured through atmospheric turbulence, or other atmospheric inhomogeneities, such as snow, rain, smoke, fog, or underwater fluctuations, is provided having an imager for capturing through such turbulence both a degraded image of a scene having at least one object, and an image of a point source associated with the object. The imager converts the degraded image into first image data signals representing the degraded image, and converts the image of the point source into second image data signals representing a point spread function. A computer of the system receives the first and second image data signals and produces third image data signals representing a recovered image of the object of the degraded image in accordance with the first and second image data signals.

  • Patent number: 7116074
Abstract: A stepper motor accelerating system is used for accelerating a stepper motor from a current rotational speed to a target rotational speed. The stepper motor accelerating system comprises a controller, a pulse generator, and a driver. The controller stores a safety acceleration curve. The safety acceleration curve is defined by shifting a characteristic curve of the stepper motor with a safety margin. The controller compares the current rotational speed and the target rotational speed with the safety accelerating curve, and then gets two corresponding points on the safety accelerating curve. The controller generates a real accelerating curve based on these two corresponding points. The pulse generator receives the real accelerating curve and converts to a pulse signal. The driver receives the pulse signal, and then drives the stepper motor with the pulse signal. The present invention accelerates the stepper motor base on the safety accelerating curve.

  • Patent number: 7116451
Abstract: A scanning apparatus includes a housing with a scan flatbed. A loading glass is installed at the scan flatbed of the housing for loading a to-be-scanned document. A photoelectric sensing device senses the light corresponding to the to-be-scanned document to generate electric signals. The electric signals are transmitted through a flat cable to a motherboard. The flat cable is designed to include a line peak so that the surface friction between the flat cable and the loading glass can be reduced to line friction. The flat cable can also be shifted near the sidewall of the housing and is inclined to the center of the housing so that the friction traces remained on the loading glass is outside the scan flatbed. Thus, the abrasion on the loading glass can be reduced and the quality of the scanning images can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7095818
Abstract: A data transmission process with auto-synchronised correcting code, auto-synchronised coder and decoder, corresponding transmitter and receiver. According to the invention, synchronisation management signals (HS, SS, ID) are formed and, under the control of these signals, a header is inserted before a data group and after it a correcting code. At receive end, these synchronisation management signals are reconstituted, the presence of a header is detected and any erroneous symbols are corrected. The invention also provides for an auto-synchronised coder and a decoder and for a transmitter and a receiver using them.

  • Patent number: 7095532
Abstract: A scanning apparatus includes a housing with a flatbed. A loading glass is installed at the scan flatbed for loading a to-be-scanned document. A photoelectric sensing device is disposed in the housing for sensing the light signals corresponding to the to-be-scanned document to generate electric signals. The electric signals are transmitted through a flat cable to a motherboard. When the photoelectric sensing device shifts and the flat cable touches the bottom of the housing, the first adsorptive slice of the flat cable and the second adsorptive slice on the bottom of the housing adsorb each other. Therefore, the rubbing between the flat cable and the loading glass can be avoided and the quality of the scanning images can be improved.
