  • Patent number: 8316201
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide methods for executing a command to write data from a source location to a destination location in a memory device. In one embodiment, a memory device receives, from a host device, a command to write data from a source location to a destination location in the memory device. The memory device executes the command by changing the memory device's logical-to-physical address map without reading the data from the source location and writing the data to the destination location and without a need of further involvement of the host device after the host device sends the command to the memory device.

  • Patent number: 8315404
Abstract: An active noise control system generates an anti-noise signal to drive a speaker to produce sound waves to destructively interfere with an undesired sound in a targeted space. The speaker is also driven to produce sound waves representative of a desired audio signal. Sound waves are detected in the target space and a representative signal is generated. The representative signal is combined with an audio compensation signal to remove a signal component representative of the sound waves based on the desired audio signal and generate an error signal. The active noise control adjusts the anti-noise signal based on the error signal. The active noise control system converts the sample rates of an input signal representative of the undesired sound, the desired audio signal, and the error signal. The active noise control system converts the sample rate of the anti-noise signal.

  • Patent number: 8311092
Abstract: A communication device is operable to manage communication of data streams, which comprise data encoded utilizing scheme that generate plurality of frames with logical grouping and/or inter-frame dependencies, based on determination of network payload parameters that are utilized for the data transmission. Exemplary encoding schemes comprise MPEG encoding, which generates data streams comprised I-frames, P-frames and/or B-frames. Network packets that are utilized to perform data communication are generated such that packet payloads comprise only data corresponding to a single frame and/or logical grouping within the encoded data stream. Feedback from networking subsystem in the communication device may be provided during processing of the data streams to enable use of network payload parameters during encoding operations. Frame sizes may be adjusted, for example, so that a size of each frame is multiple of a size of a payload of the network packets that are utilized in data communication.

  • Patent number: 8311848
Abstract: An electronic medical record system enables organic growth of medical conditions or choices linked to predefined human body systems or an anatomical image. These choices are used as blue print launchers that form sentences/paragraphs as a user interacts with the choice lists. The choice lists can include a set of control variables that can be selected to create a medical history of a patient in the form of one or more visit notes. The medical history of the patient is formed by user selection of some of the control variables for insertion into fillable data entry locations in the sentences/paragraphs. The sentences/paragraphs are in the form of blue prints which are available generically to be populated with patient specific information to form customized blue prints for a particular patient. Multiple data perspectives in the electronic medical record system allows relatively easy and simultaneous collection of the complex medical data to produce medical visit notes or letters during a patient office visit.
