Abstract: A waterproof and breathable insole includes a shoe lining with two bottom side edges respectively curved inwards, an insole, which is peripherally stitched to the border area of the shoe lining and has two projections longitudinally arranged at two sides respectively attached to the bottom side of the bottom side edges of the shoe lining and defining with the bottom side edges of the shoe lining a plurality of gaps for ventilation, and a pad, which has a layer of waterproof and breathable material and is bonded to the whole area of the outside wall of the insole and a part of the shoe lining with a layer of non-waterproof and breathable glue.

Abstract: An effective remedy for ischemic disease, which contains human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (human G-CSF) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) as active ingredients, is disclosed. By administering this remedy, an effective therapy particularly for obstructive arteriosclerosis is provided which can eliminate drawbacks with conventional therapies such as kinesitherapy, pharmacotherapy, revascularization and recently proposed therapies such as gene therapy and intramuscular inoculation of bone marrow cells. Furthermore, the remedy of the present invention can become a remedy for ischemic disease such as ischemic cerebrovascular disorder or ischemic heart disease.

Abstract: A back board having a main wall region and two lateral wall regions is securely attached to a rear side of a seat back. In such combination of seat back and back board, two presser elements, fixed to the rear side of seat back, are respectively in pressing contact with: one pressure receiving belt element extended between the main wall region of the back board and one of the two lateral wall regions of the back board; and another pressure receiving belt element extended between the main wall region of back board and another of the two lateral wall regions of back board. Thus, those two lateral wall regions of back board are resiliently bent or curved inwardly of the back board to close contact with respective two lateral sides of the seat back. The back board can be formed from a thin elastic material for light-weight purpose.

Abstract: A propeller system for a boat includes a housing adapted to be mounted to a stern of the boat and having a receiving chamber inside and waterway at the bottom side thereof, a propeller rotatably disposed in the waterway of the housing, a driving device mounted in the receiving chamber of the housing and having a driving member and a linking member pivotally coupled to the driving member, and a guide ring connected to the linking member of the driving device and located in the waterway of the housing in such a way that the guide ring surrounds the blades of the propeller and is pivotable relative to the propeller. Thus, the propelling system has the advantage of increasing the utilization of the internal space of the boat.

Abstract: A seat back structure with headrest includes a vertical pressure-receiving element and cross pressure-receiving element. The headrest is fixed on a support rod operatively connected via a rotating link with an actuator link assembly. The vertical pressure-receiving element, upon one load being applied thereto from a seat occupant's lumber part, is displaced backwardly and upwardly via guide hole to push the support rod, thereby causing commencement of rotation of the rotating links to move the headrest upwardly. Thereafter, the cross pressure-receiving element, connected with the actuator link assembly, is displaced backwardly, upon another load being applied thereto from a seat occupant's dorsal part, thereby assisting in continuation of the rotation of rotating link.

Abstract: An apparatus for printing on and/or otherwise decorating hollow bodies comprises a plurality of processing stations of different types, in which supplied hollow bodies may be processed in different ways. For conveying the hollow bodies a conveyor chain arrangement is provided serving the individual processing stations and consisting of conveyor chain sections able to be linked together by coupling means to constitute a conveyor chain in a closed loop with alternatively possible different paths. These different paths are characterized in that the processing stations may be served by the conveyor chain in different orders and/or partially obviated by it.

Abstract: An adjustable length gas spring comprises a casing and a piston which is disposed for displacement in the casing and joined to a piston rod. An externally operable adjusting valve is formed in the piston. Further, the piston is provided with a traction valve, which, upon application of tractive force from outside, cancels any blockage of the piston.

Abstract: A method and system are presented for use in determining one or more parameters of a subject. A region of interest of the subject is irradiated with acoustic tagging radiation, which comprises at least one acoustic tagging beam. At least a portion of the region of interest is irradiated with at least one electromagnetic beam of a predetermined frequency range. Electromagnetic radiation response of the at least portion of the region of interest is detected and measured data indicative thereof is generated. The detected response comprises electromagnetic radiation tagged by the acoustic radiation. This enables processing of the measured data indicative of the detected electromagnetic radiation response to determine at least one parameter of the subject in a region corresponding to the locations in the medium at which the electromagnetic radiation has been tagged by the acoustic radiation, and outputting data indicative of the at least one determined parameter.

Abstract: A seat tube for a bicycle includes an upright tube, a head and an inner tube all of which are made of fiber reinforced material. The upright tube has an inserting portion at a top thereof. The head has an inside chamber and a sleeve portion at a bottom thereof. The sleeve portion of the head is sleeved onto the inserting portion of the upright tube such that the inside chamber of the head is communicated with an inside of the upright tube. An outer wall of the inserting portion of the upright tube is a taper face converging upward. The inner tube is disposed at a junction of the upright tube and the head and interconnected with the upright tube and the head. Thus, the seat tube has strong structure with light weight.

Abstract: An outlet for a Local Area Network (LAN), containing an integrated adapter that converts VoIP to and from analog telephony, and a standard telephone jack (e.g. RJ-11 in North America) for connecting an ordinary analog (POTS) telephone set. Such an outlet allows using analog telephone sets in a VoIP environment, eliminating the need for an IP telephone set or external adapter. The outlet may also include a hub that allows connecting both an analog telephone set via an adapter, as well as retaining the data network connection, which may be accessed by a network jack. The invention may also be applied to a telephone line-based data networking system. In such an environment, the data networking circuitry as well as the VoIP/POTS adapters are integrated into a telephone outlet, providing for regular analog service, VoIP telephony service using an analog telephone set, and data networking as well. In such a configuration, the outlet requires two standard telephone jacks and a data-networking jack.
