Abstract: A method for reducing logic and delay within a logic structure that includes searching logic structures to be analyzed, finding a plurality of latches within a logic structure to be analyzed, determining if any respective latches of the plurality of latches have sufficiently positive slack within an input and output path thereof and optionally excluding the respective latches from being analyzed, determining if there is at least one remaining latch to be analyzed, and determining whether inverters are disposed within an input path and an output path of the at least one remaining latch. The method further includes obtaining logic functions of the input path and output path of the at least one remaining latch when inverters are found, modifying the logic functions using DeMorgan's Theorems, determining whether timing violations exist with the modified logic functions, and annotating hardware description language based on the modified logic functions when no timing violations exist.

Abstract: A capacitor charging apparatus includes a transformer and an output capacitor charged with current flowing through a secondary coil of the transformer, and charges the output capacitor by performing a switching control of a switching transistor provided on a path leading to a primary coil of the transformer. A switching control unit controls on and off of the switching transistor. A voltage detector monitors a voltage at a tap provided in the secondary coil of the transformer. The switching control unit regards the voltage detected by the voltage detector as an output voltage of the capacitor charging apparatus, and controls the on and off of the switching transistor.

Abstract: A method for automatically adding capacity to a computer for a workload is provided. Metric information is received, defined in a policy, about a workload running on a computer. Capacity information for the computer is retrieved and is serialized in a serialized list in accordance with the policy. A demand for the workload is received and is a request for additional capacity of the computer. The demand for the workload is analyzed to determine whether the demand is characterized as a speed or a general purpose demand. Speed demand includes an increase in a speed level for the computer, and general purpose demand includes an increase in a speed level and/or a number of processors for the computer. An appropriate capacity is determined, from the serialized list, to add to the computer for the workload based on the analysis. The appropriate capacity of the computer is activated for the workload.

Abstract: An automatic call distribution system includes a first software control module and a caller identification device for capturing caller identification information associated with an incoming call, a call agent station in communication with the automatic call distribution system, and an interactive voice response system in communication with the automatic call distribution system. The interactive voice response system administers a survey to a caller associated with the caller identification information. In response to receiving the incoming call, a transaction is completed between the caller and a call agent. Upon completion of the transaction, the call agent asks the caller to take part in the survey and seeks permission of the caller to use the caller's caller identification information in the survey. Upon obtaining consent from the caller, the call is routed by the automatic call distribution system from the call agent to the interactive voice response system to initiate the survey.
Abstract: Described herein is an improved, commercially viable and industrially advantageous process for the preparation of Repaglinide intermediate, ethyl (S)-2-ethoxy-4-[N-(1-(2-piperidino-phenyl)-3-methyl-1-butyl)-aminocarbonylmethyl]-benzoate. The process provides the Repaglinide intermediate in higher yield and purity compared to the previously disclosed processes, thereby providing for production of Repaglinide and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts in high purity and in high yield.
Abstract: An automated method for historical analysis of a memory state includes tracking all memory write accesses by an application under test; recording a directed graph having values in a plurality of memory locations, such values being derived from values previously stored in at least one of, (i) the same memory location, and (ii) another memory location, each memory location being updated by a computer operation occurring at a verifiable time; displaying a portion of the graph that led to the update of a user-specified memory location by the application under test; and traversing backward from any node located on the directed graph via an arc utilized to follow the path of events that led to the content of the memory location represented by that node at the time represented by that node.

Abstract: A method for reducing single event upsets in an integrated circuit includes the step of providing a plurality of levels within the integrated circuit, wherein the plurality of levels within the integrated circuit are in a stacked arrangement. The method also includes the step of providing a plurality of metal fill patterns within each of the plurality of levels within the integrated circuit. The method further includes the step of placing the plurality of metal fill patterns within at least one of the plurality of levels in a pattern such that a line of sight towards an active silicon layer does not exist within the stacked arrangement of the plurality of levels, thereby increasingly absorbing ionizing radiation particles, and thereby reducing single event upsets in the integrated circuit.
