Abstract: A method of providing communications services to customer premise equipment (CPE) coupled to a television. The method includes operating a network element as a communications terminal server, the network element being part of a communications network. The network element receives from the CPE a request to initiate communications with a diagnostic system coupled to the communications network. The network element accesses a communications application executing on a communications server coupled to the communications network and pushes a communications interface to the CPE. The network element receives message information from the CPE and routes the message information to the communications server to initiate delivery of a message to the diagnostic system.

Abstract: An apparatus for multiplying a semiconductor test pattern signal, which firstly encodes a plurality of pattern signals to have different pattern types, and multiplies the encoded pattern signals according to an exclusive-OR (XOR) scheme in order to generate a single pattern signal, thereby recognizing a relationship between a pattern signal before the multiplication and the other pattern signal after the multiplication. A pattern-signal segmenting/outputting unit segments a semiconductor test pattern signal into a plurality of pattern signals, and simultaneously outputs the segmented pattern signals.

Abstract: An apparatus for performing an operation in a borehole penetrating the earth includes a borehole tool and a neutron source within the borehole tool that emits neutron-alpha particles pairs as the result of a nuclear reaction. The apparatus also includes an alpha particle detector within the borehole tool arranged to detect when an alpha particle emitted by the neutron source strikes it and a gamma ray detector to detect gamma rays produced as a result of interactions between neutrons produced by the neutron source and at least one material in an area of interest outside of the borehole. The apparatus also includes a processing system that determines a characteristic of the area of interest based on a time difference between when the alpha particle strikes the alpha particle detector and a time when one or more gamma rays strikes the gamma ray detector.
Abstract: Monitoring a process sector in a production facility includes establishing a tool defect index associated with a process sector in the production facility. The tool defect index includes a signal representing a defect factor associated with a tool in the process sector. Monitoring the process also requires determining whether the defect factor is a known defect factor or an unknown defect factor, and analyzing a unit from the tool if the defect factor is an unknown defect factor. Monitoring the process further requires identifying at least one defect on the unit from the tool, establishing that the at least one defect is a significant defect, determining cause of the significant defect, and creating an alert indicating that the tool associated with the process sector is producing units having significant defects.

Abstract: Introspection data comparison is implemented utilizing hypervisor guest introspection data. A hypervisor shim on a hypervisor is used to construct one or more workload management components that are independent from a participating pool member of a pool comprising a guest having a guest memory and a guest operating system. The hypervisor collects a first set of data. The guest sends a second set of data comprising guest memory data from the guest memory. The first set of data is compared with the second set of data to detect at least one of a potential security intrusion or an anomalous deviation between the first set of data and the second set of data. A policy manager takes action based upon a result of the comparison of the first and second sets of data.
