The pressure wave generating device 1 is a sound wave generating element of thermal excitation type, a piezoelectric sound wave generating element, or an electromagnetic vibration element, and is driven by a pulse signal of the pulse generating device 2.
Abstract: An apparatus is provided and includes a first member with a flow diverting member extending from a surface thereof and a second member disposed proximate to the first member with a clearance gap area defined between a surface of the second member and a distal end of the flow diverting member such that a fluid path, along which fluid flows from an upstream section and through the clearance gap area, is formed between the surfaces of the first and second members. The second member is formed to define dual vortex chambers at the upstream section in which the fluid is directed to flow in vortex patterns prior to being permitted to flow through the clearance gap area.

The volume of the second chamber (8) varies according to the movement of a piston (11), the movement of which is measured by means of a sensor (13). One or more additional measuring chambers (8a, 8b, . . . 8n) of variable volumes are connected in parallel with the second chamber (8) and also receive the fuel drained from the first chamber (3), the volumes received in said different chambers being added up to obtain the total volume supplied for a single injection step. The device can be used for high injection rates.
Abstract: Introspection data comparison is implemented utilizing hypervisor guest introspection data. A hypervisor shim on a hypervisor is used to construct one or more workload management components that are independent from a participating pool member of a pool comprising a guest having a guest memory and a guest operating system. The hypervisor collects a first set of data. The guest sends a second set of data comprising guest memory data from the guest memory. The first set of data is compared with the second set of data to detect at least one of a potential security intrusion or an anomalous deviation between the first set of data and the second set of data. A policy manager takes action based upon a result of the comparison of the first and second sets of data.

Abstract: An outlet guide vane system is disclosed for axial flow fans. Construction details are described which reduce losses in the end wall regions of the vanes, particularly for axial flow fans operating at low flow coefficient with strong localized swirl associated with upstream rotor tip clearance flows. In the preferred embodiment, the vane spanwise airfoil stacking line is approximately straight, while leaning circumferentially toward the incoming swirl flow over the majority of the radial span. The stacking line then curves abruptly in the opposite direction over the radially outboard spanwise portion, so as to lean away from the incoming swirl at the vane tip station. The radially outboard portion of the vanes simultaneously include a gradual increase in vane stagger angle, vane camber angle and vane chord. The vane may also include an axial sweep component.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for reducing phase noise in measurement signals from a sensor are provided. The apparatus and method, in one aspect, may use a multiphase counter to obtain a count for each sensor signals time cycle and a filter to reduce noise from the obtained counts. Abstract: The present invention provides a method, system and computer program product for automatically generating message queue scripts for defining one or more Websphere® Message Queue™ (WMQ) objects on one or more queue managers. A user provides parameters corresponding to the WMQ objects as input in an input parameter file. The parameters include the name of the WMQ objects and the queue managers. Further, a message queue environment consistency check is performed on the input parameter file for validating the parameters provided. The validation is performed by using a database that stores information about the message queue environment. After successful validation of the input parameter file, one or more message queue scripts are generated for defining the WMQ objects on the queue managers. Fallback scripts may also be generated for rolling back the modifications performed on the queue managers, if required at a later stage.
Abstract: A power steering pump includes, an intake flow channel defined by a first surface; a chamber into which fluid is received; and a plate disposed between the first surface and the chamber. An opening having opposed terminal ends extends through the plate. The intake flow channel is in fluid communication with the chamber through the plate opening and is configured to direct fluid flow through the plate opening into the chamber at a location intermediate and spaced from the terminal ends. The intake flow channel is defined by a bottom surface and a sloped surface extending from the bottom surface toward the plate. The flow channel has a transition zone through which the bottom surface and the sloped surface are joined. The transition zone is located at a position along the intake flow channel at which it and one of the plate opening terminal ends are approximately superposed.
