Abstract: The inline flow control device includes housing with a tubular portion coaxially aligned with the tubular portion of a fitting threaded to the housing. A piston has a bore extending therethrough with the tubular portions extended thereinto in axial spaced relationship, the fitting tubular portion mounting a valve seat to abut against a piston internal shoulder when the piston has axially moved relative to the tubular portions to a blocking position to block fluid flow through the device. The piston enlarged diametric portion bottom surface is in fluid communication with the piston bore in both of the piston positions but not in fluid communication with the body high pressure inlet when the piston is in its blocking position. A spring resiliently urges the piston in its blocking position. Two embodiments are pressure regulators while the third is a balanced valve.
Abstract: The cable clamp is mountable to a supporting structure and includes a base and a cover mountable to the base. The base is longitudinally elongated and has a channel extending longitudinally therethrough with longitudinally spaced, elongated, somewhat bubble shaped recesses opening upwardly through the channel web. Transversely spaced lands provide the side walls of the channel. The cover is longitudinally elongated and has a top wall with flanges dependingly joined to the perimetric edge of the cover. A longitudinally extending ridge is dependingly joined to the top wall whereby, in conjunction with the flanges, there are provided cavities of a size to have the base lands extended therein. The ridge has spaced protrusions alignable with the base recesses to force the cable thereinto when extended through the channel when the clamp screws are tightened to retain the cover in clamping relationship to the base.
Abstract: Lockable overshot (10) includes an elongated body (12), lifting dogs (14a, 14b) and a locking sleeve (16). Ends (18) of the lifting dogs (14) are configured for latching a conventional spearhead point therebetween. The locking sleeve (16) is retained on the body (12) and is provided at one axial end with a circumferential wall (66) and two diametrically opposed gaps (68). The locking sleeve (16) is rotatable on the body (12) between a locked state preventing ends (18) of the lifting dogs from pivoting away from each other to release a previously latched spearhead point, and an unlocked state where the locking sleeve (16) allows the lifting dogs (14) to move so that the ends (18) can be pivoted away from each other to release a previously latched spearhead point. In this regard, the locking sleeve (16) is provided at one axial end with a circumferential wall (66) provided with a pair of diametrically opposed gaps (68).
Abstract: The valve includes a dome shaped diaphragm clamped between a base and valve body with the base having an inlet and an outlet opening to the diaphragm and a plastic button having a concave central portion surrounded by an annular convex portion for abutting against the diaphragm to move it to a closed position against a valve seat to block fluid flow between the inlet and an outlet. In a valve open position, the button central portion abuts against the diaphragm central portion while, as the button moves to a valve closed position, the closing force is applied to the diaphragm further radial outwardly. An actuator is operable for moving a plunger against a larger diameter insert mounted in a button recess which is axially opposite the diaphragm.
Abstract: The cable support apparatus includes a cleat mountable to support structure for having one end of a cable laced thereto and mechanism for supporting a load. The cleat includes a longitudinal elongated base having transversely opening jam lugs, hook lugs with the jam lugs longitudinally intermediate thereof and end lugs joined thereto. The jam lug longitudinally intermediate the longitudinally adjacent jam lugs in combination with the base forms generally V-shaped notches that open outwardly in transversely opposite directions. With the cleat mounted to have the lugs vertically above one another, the top hook lug opens transversely opposite the opening of the adjacent jam lug whereby, with the cable extending diagonally upwardly from the last mentioned jam lug to the hook lug, the cable is then bent to extend through the transverse aperture in the top end lug.
Abstract: The gas control assembly includes a control body threaded to a vessel neck to extend into the vessel containing pressurized fluid and has a fitting in the body bore which in conjunction therewith provides a part of a first fluid passageway from an inlet in the vessel and an outlet to the ambient atmosphere. A manually operated valve and a pressure regulator are provided in the first passageway exterior of the vessel. In one embodiment the control body has a second passageway opening through a relief device to the vessel interior and to the ambient atmosphere while in a second embodiment a relief device is provided exterior of the vessel and opens to the first passageway. The opposite end portion of the tube is connected to the reel side plate which is adjacent to the above mentioned leg to rotates the reel. Swivel mechanism is mounted to the other mounting bracket leg, and extends into the drum and is adapted to be non-rotatably connected to a conduit and to a hose that is to be wound onto and unwound from the reel drum.
Abstract: The pressure regulator has a regulator body with a control chamber and outlet and inlet passageways opening thereto, a bonnet with a bonnet chamber and a diaphragm separating the chambers. A filter housing is mounted in the control chamber and mounts a filter and a valve seat that opens to the inlet passageway while spring urged mechanism moves the a valve stem to permit fluid flow through the valve seat and into the control chamber between the filter and diaphragm when the pressure therein falls below a preselected level, and then through the filter to the outlet passageway. When the pressure in the outlet passageway is at or above a preselected value, the pressure acts against a diaphragm whereby the piston retains the valve stem in a fluid flow blocking position.
Abstract: The valve device includes a valve body and a bonnet with a fitting clamped therebetween and extending within body and bonnet bores. The fitting and valve body have bore portions with a valve stem extended therein and through a valve seat and having opposite end portions of the same diameters and in fluid sealing relationship with the above bore portions axially opposite the valve seat. The body has inlet and outlet passages opening to the fitting and body bores axially opposite the valve seat and axially intermediate the stem end portions. A sensor is connected to the valve stem and is movable against spring action to move the valve stem to its open position. An actuator, for example an electric motor, is mounted to the bonnet and operable for forcing the sensor to move the valve stem to its valve open position.
