  • Patent number: 5019114
Abstract: The moulding tool has an annular die providing a moulding cavity, an inner ring abutting against the die outer peripheral surface and an outer ring abutting against the inner ring outer peripheral surface. The inner ring is made of a material having a higher modulus of elasticity than the material from which the outer ring and die are made. Advantageously the inner ring is made of a carbide metal and the die and outer ring of steel and in the above described relationship to reduce the danger of fracture of the die.

  • Patent number: 5007247
Abstract: The refrigeration or heat pump installation includes a liquid separator that has a vapor chamber having a port connected to the outlet of the evaporator and an outlet connected through a suction conduit to a compressor. The separator also has an intermediate chamber beneath the vapor chamber for receiving liquid from the vapor chamber by the way of a first switching valve, the intermediate chamber being connected to the inlet of the evaporator for the purpose of recirculating liquid. A second switching valve forms part of the expansion apparatus for controlling the flow of fluid either directly to the intermediate chamber or through the first switching valve to the intermediate chamber. The two switching valves are operated to open and closed conditions in the opposite sense for controlling and almost continuous pulsating recirculation of liquid through the evaporator. The expansion apparatus is connected through a condenser to the outlet of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 5002230
Abstract: Disclosed is a valve that is particularly useful in a pressure atomizing nozzle of a heating installation and includes a valve housing in which there is a valve seat with an adjoining valve chamber and a flow passage that opens to a housing outlet. In the valve chamber there is provided a spring for resiliently urging the closure member to seat on the valve seat. The valve chamber has a guide section adjacent the valve seat that is of a transverse cross section corresponding to a transverse cross section of the closure member while the housing and closure member provide a free flow passage to the outlet when the closure member is moved axially away from the valve seat at least a preselected axial distance. The valve is of a construction that ensures that fluid can flow through the valve only after a particular desire pressure has been reached, but immediately after the conveying pressure drops below a predetermined value, fluid can no longer reach the housing outlet.

  • Patent number: 4972761
Abstract: A hydraulic safety brake valve arrangement for a motor controlled by a directional control valve. The safety brake valve arrangement has a main valve closing the load lowering conduit in a rest position. Pump pressure opens the main valve to throttle exhausted fluid and at the same time throttle fluid through the supply conduit to the opposed motor chamber. A compensating valve is placed in series with the main valve throttle for the loaded side of the motor. Motor speed is thereby controlled independent of the external loading on the motor.

  • Patent number: 4955194
Abstract: A damping arrangement for damping the oscillations of valves which are controlled by pressure fluid and the control pressure conduits of which contain a throttle. A characteristic is that initial oscillations can be rapidly stabilized independently of the operating temperature of the pressure fluid. This is accomplished by the throttle having a throttle gap of which the height varies oppositely to the temperature of the pressure fluid so as to compensate fully or partially for changes in the hydraulic resistance that are occasioned by the temperature. The throttle gap is mostly traversed by laminar flow and consequently there is a high hydraulic throttling resistance even at low speeds of flow. The throttle is therefore also adapted effectively to damp small oscillations of the valve element so that the initial oscillations are rapidly stabilized.

  • Patent number: 4951982
Abstract: For maintaining a dead bolt lock handle in a locked position while the occupant of a room is inside of the room to prevent someone outside of the room unlocking the dead bolt lock, there is provided an elongated security member having a first end portion that mounts an adjustment member and a second end portion that is notched to have lock handle extend therethrough and form two legs. The adjustment member in abutting against the door serves to vary the angle of the legs relative to the door to wedgingly engage the cross bar in its locked position to prevent one exterior of the room using a key to unlock the lock. The second end portion may be directly abuttable against one of the lock housing and the door, or if necessary a spacer plate may be used to have extend between the security member and the door interior. The spacer plate has notches for the adjustment member and the lock handle to extend through.

  • Patent number: 4941505
Abstract: In order to prevent dripping in an oil supply system for a burner nozzle there is provided a pump stop valve in the supply line that connects the pressure outlet of the pump to the burner nozzle and a nozzle shut-off valve in the supply line between the pump stop valve and the nozzle. A circulating valve is provided in parallel to the pump stop valve to open when the pressure between the pump stop valve and the nozzle shut off valve is higher than the pressure at the pump outlet. As a result if the oil in the supply line adjacent the nozzle expands, oil can return through the circulating valve to the line between the pump stop valve and the pump outlet.

The clutch plate and flange extend within a clutch chamber of the housing. Friction linings are mounted on the radial outer portion of the flange on opposite sides thereof. The radial outer portions of the plate and flange have depressions into which the linings extend whereby the axial dimension of the chamber is less than the combined axial dimensions of the linings and the plate and flange radially inwardly of and adjacent to the depressions. Switching apparatus provides a pressure differential on axial opposite sides of the plate to eleastically deform the plate between a neutral position, a braking position and a driving position.
