Abstract: A pipe connection includes a metal locking ring which can be pushed onto the external pipe of two interlocking metal pipes to connect the latter. The inner face of the locking ring has a leading section that tapers conically in a radial direction in opposition to the direction of application; a trailing section that tapers conically in a radial direction in opposition to the direction of application and that causes the pipe to be radially compressed, when the ring is in the locking position; and a central section lying between the leading section and the trailing section. A central section with a conical configuration improves a pipe connection of this type so that the tensile strength of heavy duty pipe connections or pipe connections consisting of pipes of material with low elasticity becomes mechanically more stable.

Abstract: A method for controlling the drive power distribution in a motor vehicle with hybrid drive by controlling the drive power distribution of torques of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor on a common drive train of a motor vehicle with hybrid drive. The conversion of a reference moment to an actual moment takes place almost without delay, in the case of a load point shift and/or in the case of a change in the moment desired by the driver. The delay in the conversion of reference moments into actual moments is calculated in advance by means of a control device, and the electric motor is controlled by the control device in such a manner that the torque differences that occur due to the delay of the internal combustion engine are balanced out by the electric motor.

Abstract: The invention describes a sliding element, in particular a sliding bearing, with a support element and a sliding layer, between which a bearing metal layer is arranged, wherein the sliding layer is made from bismuth or a bismuth alloy, and wherein the crystallites of the bismuth or the bismuth alloy in the sliding layer adopt a preferred direction with respect to their orientation, expressed by the Miller index of the lattice plane (012), wherein the X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane (012) is the greatest compared to the X-ray diffraction intensities of other lattice planes. The X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane with the second-largest X-ray diffraction intensity is a maximum of 10% of the X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane (012).

Abstract: A mobile, transportable, unipolar electrostatic chuck for clamping thin wafers is described, which avoids unintentional discharging of the package of Mobile Chuck and wafer during wet processing. Short circuits between the contact holes of the chuck and the clamped wafer can lead to the loss of clamping force. A pn-junction within the semiconductor substrate material electrode of the chuck is disclosed, which is using a diode effect to avoid the loss of charges. Dielectric protection layers of PTFE, Y2O3 or ferroelectric materials can be used to cover the open contacts of the chuck. This enables the application of Mobile Chucks also for wet etch-, photo- and cleaning processes. Mobile Chucks are made of semiconductor material and semiconductor manufacturing processes are applied. Those Mobile Chucks have nearly identical properties as the clamping substrate itself.
Abstract: A method for measuring operational density and/or operational sound velocity in a gaseous medium uses a sound transducer that is capable of vibrating, which is disposed in a housing in such a manner that chambers having the same volume are formed on both sides of the sound transducer, which are filled by the gaseous medium. The chambers are connected with one another by way of an open channel having defined dimensions. Using an exciter vibration applied to the sound transducer, the impedance of the sound transducer, which is influenced by the density of the gaseous medium, is determined within a frequency range that can be established, as a function of the exciter frequency. From this, the operational density and/or the operational sound velocity of the gaseous medium are determined using a plurality of characteristic frequencies of the sound transducer vibrating in the gaseous medium.
