  • Patent number: 7647664
Abstract: A mobile bridge of great length is a support construction for at least one transport means, which particularly avoids constraints and undefined stresses as a result of temperature variations and/or support lowering movements, for example, to the greatest possible extent. This will guarantee a statically definite system, is essentially accomplished in that the bridge, in its totality, forms a multi-member statically definite system in the vertical plane, and a statically definite continuous carrier in the horizontal plane. The bridge segments of the bridge are connected with one another, in articulated manner, exclusively in the vertical plane, and the bridge is supported by means of at least three bearing mechanisms of a type A, B, and C having different static valence. Each bearing mechanism of the type A, B, C is carried by a self-propelled, tip-proof traveling mechanism.

  • Patent number: 7647863
Abstract: The invention relates to a piston pin bearing of an internal combustion engine, in which a cylindrical piston pin is mounted. The aim of the invention is to create a hub bore shape that is improved compared to prior art in order to significantly reduce mechanical stress in the piston and thus extend the service life of the piston. Furthermore, the shape is to prevent noise from being generated in the piston pin bearing. The aims are achieved by the fact that the surface line of the highly oval outer surface, which runs in the zenith of the hub, extends at an angle to the hub axis from a radially outward point to a radially inward point on the piston side such that the greatest degree of ovalness defined by the oval diameter thereof is created at the respective inner ends of the hub bores and does not exceed a predefined value of the oval diameter.

  • Patent number: 7647698
Abstract: A method for producing a cutting or embossing roller having a cutting knife or embossing projection that projects out of the surface of a base body of the roller ensures the greatest possible optimal homogeneity of the cutting knife or the embossing projection, while minimizing production duration and costs. Single-layer or multi-layer application of the cutting knife or the embossing projection onto the roller base body occurs by laser resurfacing welding. Each layer is produced using an additional powdered material, which is melted in a melt bath at the weld point. The heat and/or light radiation emitted by the melt bath is detected, at least during application of each layer. Laser power is controlled or regulated as a function of the heat and/or light radiation emitted by the melt bath, so that melt bath temperature remains essentially constant during application of each layer.

  • Patent number: 7648608
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a multilayer coextrudate, comprising a plastic layer that has release properties vis-vis adhesives, the release-property producing materials being disposed in the plastic layer. When the coextrudate is produced, a first web(support web I) is provided on the one side of which an adhesive layer is disposed, followed by the plastic layer having the release properties, which in turn is linked with a second web (support web II). The release layer does not show substantial migration with respect to the adhesive and the release effect does not substantially change afterwards, especially during storage.

  • Patent number: 7645418
Abstract: A gas purge device for a metallurgical melting vessel includes a conically shaped ceramic body (2) in contact at its top side with heat contained in the melting vessel. The ceramic body has a static external element and an internal element axially movable therein. A pneumatic drive axially moves the internal element to and fro relative to the external element between a closed position and an open position. The spring force of a spring retains the internal element in the closed position. The device furthermore includes a gas-tight enclosed volume arranged at the bottom side of the ceramic body the volume being connected to a gas supply duct for introduction of purge gas. A deformable membrane is connected to the internal element with the pressure difference between the purge gas pressure prevailing in the gas-tight enclosed volume and the ambient pressure acting upon the membrane.

  • Patent number: 7644482
Abstract: A method permits replacement of components of existing epicyclic gear mechanisms of a wind energy system without having to lift the gear mechanism down from the gondola. In accordance with the method, the housing is divided up alternately in its first parting plane and in its second parting plane and moved apart. The center section of the housing, which includes the internal geared wheel, always remains connected with an adjacent section and therefore does not have to be moved with a hoist. Access to the components to be replaced is always guaranteed by the special method of opening. An installation bolt is also provided that is particularly suitable for implementing the method.

  • Patent number: 7645415
Abstract: An elastic film, particularly for hygiene articles, has at least one layer that is produced extrusion of an elastomer polymer composition and subsequently cross-linked. The elastomer polymer composition contains a mixture of 40 to 90 parts by weight of a styrene block copolymer, 5 to 50 parts by weight of a plasticizer oil, and up to 10 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer. The layer of the elastomer polymer composition is cross-linked by treatment with electron beams. The elastomer polymer composition additionally contains 2 to 20 parts by weight of a reactive plasticizer that has a mole mass of less than 10,000 kg/kmol, is compatible with soft segments of the styrene block copolymer, and has functional acrylate groups.

  • Patent number: 7641853
Abstract: An intravenous oxygenator for enriching blood with oxygen, said oxygenator having a bundle of fibers, said fibers being each connected to a gas supply means through a first connection and to a gas evacuation means through a second connection, with the fiber bundle being twisted during operation by relative rotation of the first connections of the fibers relative to the second connections of the fibers about a longitudinal axis of the oxygenator. Further, an intravenous oxygenator for insertion into a vein, the connections being respectively connected to a first and to a second fiber holder and being displaceable along a longitudinal axis of the oxygenator, with the fiber holders being mounted so as to be rotatable relative to one another about the longitudinal axis of the oxygenator. • Patent number: 7641397
Abstract: The head end surface of an optical fiber (2) and the head end surface of an optical fiber (12) are butted to each other in an alignment member (22) of an adapter (21). In the butting, because one of the members clasping the optical fiber (2) is a plate (4a) that is short, the optical fiber (2) is bent and buckled between the left end of the short plate and the right end of the alignment member. Members clasping the optical fiber (12) are a long plate (14b) and a V-grooved base plate (13), and the optical fiber (12) is therefore horizontally fixed between each of right ends of the long plate and of the V-grooved base plate (13) and the left end of the alignment member. This results that the head end surface of the optical fiber (2) and the head end surface of the optical fiber (12) are in tight contact with each other, achieving excellent optical transmission between both optical fibers.
