Abstract: Having conductive contacts (4), a first insulator (1) retaining the contacts, and a cable-side insulator, attachable/detachable relative to the first insulator, for retaining a flat cable (6). The cable-side insulator includes a second insulator (2) for receiving the flat cable, a third insulator (3) disposed so as to confront the second insulator via the flat cable, and a clamp (7) interposed between the flat cable and the third insulator. When the cable-side insulator is mounted to the first insulator, the second and third insulators are engaged with the first insulator to approach each other so that the flat cable is sandwiched between the clamp and the second insulator. In this state, the flat cable is connected to the contacts.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are described for producing a gear wheel from a powder metal blank (1) which is sintered and pressed with an overmeasure in the flank and root region of the teeth and which in the region of the overmeasure is densified under plastic deformation by the overmeasure by pressing in a counter-toothing (3) of a pressing tool (2) which engages in the toothing (4). In order to provide advantageous conditions it is proposed that during the plastic deformation of the flank or foot region of the tooth, the tip surface of the respective tooth is subjected to a pressure force counteracting an extension of the tooth.

The split flange is provided with two or more arcuate flange members and two connecting members located at both end portions of the flange members and projecting outward from outer circumferential faces thereof. The flange members may be connected to each other to form an annular structure. An operation for fitting the flange members firmly around the pipe body is carried out easily.
Abstract: In a card fitting mechanism for receiving a card fitted thereto, a plurality of card receiving portions are arranged parallel to one another. Each of the card receiving portions is adapted to receive the card. A guiding member is disposed between adjacent ones of the card receiving portions so as to enter into adjacent ones of the card receiving portions. When the card is inserted in only one of the adjacent card receiving portions, the guiding member is moved by the card to serve as a guide for guiding the card that is inserted into another of the adjacent card receiving portions.

Abstract: A piston-pin bearing for an internal combustion engine wherein a cylindrical piston pin is mounted. The piston-pin bearing has a hub bore that significantly reduces mechanical stress in the piston, results in a longer service life for the piston, and avoids the formation of noise in the piston-pin bearing. Thus hub bore has a lateral surface with a highly oval shape along the axis of the hub in the equatorial-zenith-equatorial area, corresponding to the parameter representation of an oval that follows x=b/2×cos ?; y=a/2×sin ? for 0°???180°. The hub bore has a circular cylindrical shape in the equatorial-nadir-equatorial region of the hub, whereby a is a large oval diameter; b=D is a small oval diameter; D is a diameter of the cylindrical hub; and ? is the angle forming any particular unlimited line counter to the z axis.
Abstract: An apparatus for needling a non-woven material is described, comprising at least one needleboard (1) which is drivable in a reciprocating manner in the needle-penetration direction (6) as well as in the direction of the passage (11) of the non-woven material, comprising an eccentric drive for the needleboard (1) which comprises two parallel eccentric shafts (2, 3) which are drivable in opposite directions and assume a different angular position (?), and couplers (5) which connect the connecting rods (4) of the two eccentric shafts (2, 3) in an articulated manner and comprise a guide arm (8) which is rigidly connected with the same, and a lifting guide means (9) for the guide arms (8) which forms a swiveling axis (10) for the guide arms (8) which is parallel to the eccentric shafts (2, 3). In order to provide advantageous constructional conditions it is proposed that either the guide arms or the couplers carry the needleboard.

Abstract: In order to latch an object member that is movable in a predetermined direction, a latch device has a heart cam that follows movement of the object member, and a latch member that is movable between a first position where it does not engage the object member and a second position where it engages the object member in the predetermined direction. A cam follower engaging the heart cam and the latch member urges the latch member toward one of the first and second positions following movement of the heart cam. However, actual movement of the latch member is controlled by a control mechanism that operates depending on the shape and the number of times of movement of the heart cam.

Abstract: A device for variable activation of valves for internal combustion engines, which is arranged in a cylinder head having a camshaft mounted in a fixed location with valves that close by means of spring force through a stroke transfer arrangement. This device includes a movable element mounted with a fixed pivot, and has a support cam and a control cam. An intermediate member is displaceably mounted and supported on the element, and is in engagement with a cam lever of the camshaft, as well as the stroke transfer arrangement. The intermediate member supports itself on the support cam and control cam with a non-positive lock, sliding during the stroke movement. Whereby the control cam determines the stroke movement to be transferred to the stroke transfer arrangement by the intermediate member, as a function of the pivot position of the element that can change its position.

Abstract: A buckle has a male and a female portion. The female portion has a hollow body with two sidewalls, an open receiving end and a locking end with an opening formed from the side walls. The opening is wider in a central area than at its ends. The male portion has at least one locking arm with a free end and a locking tab. Inserting the male portion into the female portion compresses locking arm, causing the locking tab to extend through the opening in the locking end. Inserting the male portion fully into the female portion causes tab to rest against one of the narrow ends of the opening in the locking end, to lock the male portion to the female portion. Pulling the male portion against the female portion causes the tab to lock even more firmly against the edges of the opening to prevent inadvertent disengagement.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for producing mop trimmings from a twisted yarn (7) which is cut into pieces is described. In order to prevent any untwisting of the yarn pieces it is proposed that the twisted yarn (7) is subjected to a needling prior to cutting.
