  • Patent number: 6106263
Abstract: An extruder forms shaped bodies from plastics-filler mixtures having a filler content of more than 50% by volume. The extruder comprises a product feed device, an outer mouthpiece and two barrels arranged coaxially between the product feed device and the outer mouthpiece. The first barrel (input cone) having an inside wall provided with grooves essentially parallel to the longitudinal extent of the barrel is connected with the product feed device. The second barrel (output zone) is connected with the outer mouthpiece. A screw arranged in the first barrel conveys material into the second barrel. Separate tempering arrangements for the first barrel, for the second barrel and for the mouthpiece control the desired operation temperatures in the extruder. Preferably, the extruder additionally includes a mandrel connected with the screw and arranged in the second barrel.

  • Patent number: 6095330
Abstract: A light-tight packaging entity includes rigid side covers (4) and a flexible light-tight covering film (3), which envelops the curved surface of a file roll (1) and is shrunk onto outer edges (5) of the side covers (4) to keep incident light away. This packaging entity makes it possible to achieve reliable protection from light with a packaging entity of small size, ensures unimpeded rewinding of the film, and enables the light-sensitive material to be handled in daylight. The present packaging entity is space-saving, capable of being rewound, leaves no packaging residues in the processing device after opening and unrolling have taken place, and in addition is simple and cost-effective.

  • Patent number: 6097355
Abstract: A method of calculating beam landing errors in an electronic display device having color phosphor elements and electron guns to generate electron beams to impinge on corresponding phosphor elements require a magnetic field to be generated to deflect an electron beam relative to the corresponding phosphor element on which the electron beam is to impinge. The intensity of light emitted by the phosphor elements in the measurement area is measured as the electron beam impinges thereon. The polarity of the magnetic field is reversed and the above step is repeated. Thereafter, the magnitude of the magnetic field is changed and the above two steps are repeated thereby to measure at least two different light intensities resulting from electron beam influenced by each polarity magnetic field. The at least two different light intensities resulting from electron beams influenced by each polarity magnetic field are then approximated with straight lines and an intersection point of the straight lines is determined.
