Abstract: An automatic faucet assembly includes a chassis and a cover removably connected to the chassis, wherein both chassis and cover extend above the surface of a deck of a sink basin. The chassis has a mounting section for mounting the chassis to the surface of the deck. A deck plate is mounted between the mounting section and the surface to provide support and stability to the faucet assembly. The faucet assembly further comprises: a fluid conduit extending through the chassis and connecting a fluid discharge port with a fluid supply; an infrared sensor mounted on the chassis for sensing the presence of a user of the faucet assembly; an electrical connector wire extending from the infrared sensor, through an opening in the deck, to a solenoid valve that turns on the fluid supply when infrared sensor senses the presence of the user; and a battery-operated power supply for supplying power to the infrared sensor.
Abstract: The invention relates to a coupling for connecting vacuum-insulated line ends (12, 13) via a coupling socket (11) and a coupling plug (10) which are provided for conveying a cryogenic medium and which have closing elements (28, 29) at the outer line ends that close the line ends. In order to ensure a simple replacement of the gaskets and improved safety during operation and in case of operating errors, the closing elements (28, 29) of both line ends (12, 13) are directly adjacent to the separation plane (27) of the coupling socket (11) and of the coupling plug (10).
Abstract: A multi-layer color photographic recording material having at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a color coupler contains in at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer a non-diffusing, 2-equivalent color coupler which, under chromogenic development conditions, by coupling with a color developer oxidation product, releases a photographically inert ballast group from the coupling site and so forms a dye removable by rinsing which makes no contribution to color density.

Abstract: An abseil rescue device comprises a pair of holders, a pair of retarders a plurality of gripper blocks, a rescue rope, at least a hydraulic cylinder, a press part, a crank seat, and a crank lever. The retarders and the gripper blocks are hingedly connected to one of the holders. A plurality of grippers are provided on the holders and the retarders. Abstract: In the disclosed method for the reshaping (adornment, repair, covering, prosthetic extension, etc.) of essentially rigid, keratinaceous surfaces such as nail plates with a free radical-polymerizable acrylic ester, the free radical initiator comprises a compound of the formula III ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 through R.sup.4 are hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, a cycloaliphatic group, or, less preferably, a sulfhydryl group, an alkali or alkaline earth metal salt of a sulfhydryl group, a halogen, or amino group; or R.sup.3 or R.sup.4 can be an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal cation when the 5-carbon is negatively charged. The compound of formula III, in chemically-curable systems is utilized in combination with a metal salt cocatalyst and, optionally, an organic buffering compound and a crosslinker.

Abstract: A saw blade adjusting device of a band sawing machine includes an urging seat, an urging knob, an adjusting knob, a sliding seat, and a wheel frame. The urging seat has projections and depressions at a top end thereof, and the urging knob has urging portions projecting from a bottom side of an inner top end thereof, whereby the rotary adjusting motion of the urging knob is translated into an axial reciprocating urging motion. The relative abutment and separation of the urging knob and the urging seat is utilized to achieve tightening and positioning of a saw blade so that the tension of the saw blade and the distance between upper and lower wheel frames during violent cutting operation can be maintained stably to enhance the quality and efficiency of the cutting operation.

Abstract: Metallized moldings of polymer mixtures comprise a thermoplastic and a filler. The thermoplastic polymer has a melting point of more than 100.degree. C. and may be selected from the group consisting of fluoropolymers, polyamides, polycarbomates, polyesters, polyimides, liquid crystalline polymers, polymethyl methacrylates, polyphenylene oxides, polysulfones, polyurethanes and silicones. Abstract: A biaxially oriented polypropylene film is described. The base ply of the film essentially consists of a polypropylene prepared by means of a metallocene catalyst. This polypropylene is distinguished by a mean isotactic block length of greater than 40, an n-heptane soluble fraction of less than 1% and a ratio of the weight average molecular weight M.sub.w to the number average molecular weight M.sub.n of less than 4.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and a device for monitoring the filling of a tank with a liquid, deep-frozen gas, in which the temperature and the pressure of the liquid gas in the tank are recorded, and the mass of the liquid gas in the tank is calculated from the temperature and the volume. In the prior art, a system with an overflow was used as a filling-level limitation, in which case the height of the overflow took the maximum increase in volume into account. With this limitation of the filling level, because the phase boundary is only determined independently of the density, the maximum permissible filling level must take into account the maximum possible increase in volume of the liquid gas. With the system according to the invention, better utilization of the tank volume is possible, because the increase in volume actually possible is taken into account based on the actually prevailing pressure and temperature state of the liquid gas introduced.
