Abstract: An easy package lifting tool designed to allow a user to manually lift a package with one hand directly over the package's center of gravity that uses the weight of the package to exert inward directed forces by two gripping jaws on opposing sides of the package. The tool includes two pads pivotally attached to the distal ends of two main arms. The two main arms cross and are pivotally attached together vertically above the center axis of a line that extends between the two pads. Attached to the proximal end of the first main arm is a secondary arm. Pivotally attached to the proximal end of the second main arm is a lift arm. The distal end of the lift arm is pivotally attached to the secondary arm. Formed on the proximal end of the lift arm is a curved handle section. The location of the second pivot point between the secondary arm and the lift arm is offset from the first pivot point and the center axis of the two grippingpads.
Abstract: A portable temporary aircraft hanger that includes a lightweight frame covered with a durable, main outer cover. The frame includes a plurality of transverse frame members attached to a rigid base frame. Each frame member includes two opposite straight lower sections, two curved eave sections, two straight roof sections and a curved, central peak section. Adjacent frame members are interconnected by a plurality of purlins. Disposed over one end opening is a flexible end cover. Formed on one end panel of the shelter is wide rectangular door opening designed to allow wide equipment, such as a winged aircraft to easily enter and exit the shelter. In the first embodiment, the door opening is covered by two hinged door panels including a longitudinally aligned sliding door section. Disposed above the wide opening is an optional upper opening which is selectively closed and opened by a retractable door panel.
Abstract: An adjustable cover hold down system designed to be used with an awing cover or a tarp that includes a flexible elongated body capable of being rolled into a compact roll during storage and then unrolled prior to being used. The system includes a plurality of clips designed to attach to an enlarged, longitudinally aligned, perimeter beaded edge that extends the entire length of the body. The clips may include adjustable clamp, a hook clip or an elongated traveler that enables them to be attached to the lower free edge of a trap, a tarp gusset, or the slot formed on a roller bar used on an awning cover, respectively. The body includes a bladder with at least one port opening with a removable cap that allows the bladder to be selectively filled with different volumes of a fluid material, such as water or sand.
Abstract: A portable golf shelter that protects one golfer from inclement weather as he or she swings a golf club or practices their putting, chipping, or pitching. The golf shelter comprises a three-sided frame with at least one pair of wheels mounted on the opposite side frames. The frame is made of lightweight material and the wheels are mounted on the side frames so that the front edges of the two side frames can be easily lifted by one person forcing the rear frame downward with light pressure. When the rear frame is forced downward and the front edges are lifted, the shelter can be easily moved on its wheels to different locations on the golf course. An optional rearward extending handle is mounted on the rear frame member to assist the person while moving the shelter. The shelter also includes a lightweight retractable roof that may be folded downward to reduce the shelter's overall side profile.
Abstract: A method and system for authorizing the use of software program in an electronic device. The system uses a unique first code number associated with the software program. An intermediate object is encoded with a second code number. When the software program is initially installed into the electronic device, the first code number is transmitted to the electronic device. Later, when the intermediate object is then connected to the electronic device, the second code number on the intermediate object is identified and the third code number is then separately presented When the second and third code numbers have been presented, the software program may then be used.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a real-time auction method that is based on an auction server for performing a process of an auction and wired and wireless terminals of participants.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and system for remote detection of a targeted substance by the appropriate application of a probing signal that induces molecular resonance in the target substance to create an identifiable signature or response. In the preferred embodiment, signals transmitted are an Infrared laser beam, amplitude modulated in the range of 100 kHz frequency. The probing signal stimulates molecular resonance of the target substance which produces characteristic electron signal responses that are detected by IR detectors. A software program is used to process the electrical response signals and to compare them with electrical response signals stored in a database of known substances, thus allowing the target substance to be identified. The system may also be used to locate targeted substances. Also disclosed is an artificial ground device that provides a positive ground that provides consistent responses.
Abstract: The system and method for recycling the compress heat generated at a bio-gas treatment plant that includes the assembly of a heat exchanger at each stage of compression designed to utilizing all of the gas flow and to harvest the heat in gas delivered to the air exchangers. After the heat is harvested, it is then conveyed either as hot air, or as a hot liquid, to a jacketed vessel containing media that requires regeneration or stripping of harmful VOCs picked up during the purification of contaminated landfill or municipal digester gas. The harvesting and conveyance of the heat of compression of the gases to a jacket around the vessel interior (indirect contact) and simultaneously heating the vessel interior containing the spent media through hot gas from another source (direct contact), reduces the heat-up time. This also reduces the overall the cycle time between the contaminant pick-up step and contaminant stripping step in regenerable treatment systems.
Abstract: A water disk sports game that includes a pair of floating goals located at predetermined distances from each other in a designated boundary area. Each goal includes a vertical scoring pole that extends upward from a large floating base. In a first embodiment, the floating base is a hollow circular floating disk with an upper, diagonally aligned skirt surface that leads to a circular recessed cavity coaxially aligned with the scoring pole. Attached to the scoring pole is an elevated lid which creates a narrow gap between the lid and the top rim of the floating base. In another embodiment, the floating base is a partially submerged rim with radially aligned spokes and a center hub designed to receive the scoring pole. During use, a specially designed aquatic disk is given to one team whose objective is to throw the aquatic disk at the opposing team's scoring pole.
Abstract: A mountable welt that is easier to attach to a desired surface or joint. The welt includes a transparent or semi-transparent sheath casing circular or oval in cross-section with at least one integrally formed, laterally extending wing member. The wing member is a relatively thin structure that extends longitudinally over a portion or the entire length of the outer casing. In the preferred embodiment, the outer surfaces of the wing member converge towards their outer edges thereby enabling the wing to be placed into a joint space. A suitable attachment method, such as sewing, an adhesive, or a closed joint, may be used to attach the wing to the desired surface or joint while allowing the outer casing to be exposed. Located inside the outer sheath is a continuous linear light.
Abstract: A compact, temporary shelter that includes at least two vertical frame members aligned transversely over a base frame. Each frame member includes two opposite straight lower sections, two curved eave sections, two optional straight roof sections and a curved, central peak section. Adjacent frame members are interconnected by a plurality of purlins. The shelter includes an inner liner disposed over the inside surfaces of the frame members. The inner liner creates wall air spaces between two adjacent frame members and an upper attic and a lower living space that are partially isolated. When attached to an HVAC unit, air from the living space and flows and circulates into the wall air spaces between the frame members and into the attic. From the attic, air travels through a vent opening formed on an end cover to the outside environment. Located inside the shelter is a flexible air sock that connects at one end to the output port on the HVAC unit to evenly distribute the air into the living space.
Abstract: An on-line poker game system includes a poker table staffed with a live dealer with a plurality of designated seats assigned to at least one a remote player and one or more live players or to a plurality of remote players. Remote players connect to the system via a wide area network. Located at each designated seat is a private card camera that produces and transmits images of face down cards dealt thereto. A public card camera produces and transmits images of all face up cards dealt on the poker table. A table camera constantly provides an image of the entire table and dealer. A deck of cards with an identifying RFID tag is used with images to verify the identity of the private and public cards. A game logic server connects to a network server and host and client-side software programs enable the remote players to connect to the server.
