  • Patent number: 6958919
Abstract: A zero voltage switching power conversion circuit for driving a CCFL has a ZVS circuit and a full bridge circuit composing of MOS transistors. A transformer is coupled between the full bridge circuit and the CCFL. By properly controlling the conducting timing of each MOS transistor, power is coupled from the primary side to the secondary side of the transformer thus supplying power to the CCFL. When adjusting the brightness of the CCFL, the high frequency signal is able to be temporarily shut down during off periods of the CCFL to reduce power consumption.

  • Patent number: 6954106
Abstract: An FET band amplifier for providing a high gain. An FET band amplifier 5 included in an AM receiver comprises amplifiers 11 to 15 e.g. at five stages and a BPF 16 inserted halfway in their connection. Each of the amplifiers 11 to 15 acts as a differential amplifier comprising a p-channel FET as an amplification element. The BPF 16 allows the passage of a component of a band wider than the amplification band of the whole of the FET band amplifier and reduces a 1/f noise by removing the low-band component of a signal amplified by the amplifiers 11 to 13 at three stages and thermal noise by removing the high-band component. Thus, each of the amplifiers 14, 15 connected to the rear stage of the BPF 16 is not saturated by a noise component.

  • Patent number: 6947465
Abstract: The solid state laser comprises the laser medium 11 for absorbing the pumping light 12 from the LD 10 and generating or amplifying the light having a predetermined wavelength and a heat sink comprising the first block 15a, the second block 15b and the third block 15c for aligning the laser medium 11, cooling the laser medium 11 and reflecting the pumping light 12. The laser medium 11 has an arcuate light incident surface A and a flat reflection portion. The pumping light 12 having a diffusing angle is converted into parallel light by the light incident surface A, thereby pumping the laser medium 11 uniformly. The flat reflection portion makes it easy to align laser medium 11 having anisotropic characteristic and helps to efficiently pump the laser medium 11 by reflecting the reflection light substantially in parallel with the incident light.

  • Patent number: 6933737
Abstract: In the probe card of the semiconductor device measurement device, measurement is to be done in the stability without damage beyond the needle diameter on the pad of the wafer by the probe needle. The straight probe needle 5 is inserted in the upper guide plate 2, the rotary guide plate 3 and the bottom guide plate 4. The rotary guide plate 3 is a little displaced, and the center of the probe needle 5 is bent. Under this condition, the stage with the wafer thereon is raised, and then the tip of the probe needle 5 reaches the pad on the surface of the wafer. The rotary guide plate 3 has a guide slot 7. The rotary guide plate 3 is moved in the horizontal plane. The fixed guide pin 8 moves along the guide slot 7. The probe needle 5 rotates like swinging. The probe needle 5 breaks through the natural oxide film stuck on the pad. In this way, the dispersion of the pressure of the probe needle 5 is prevented. Measurement can be done without damage beyond the needle diameter on the pad of the wafer.

  • Patent number: 6930552
Abstract: An FET band amplifier for reducing a residual noise during gain control. An FET band amplifier 5 included in an AM receiver comprises amplifiers 11 to 15 e.g. at five stages, a BPF 16 inserted halfway in their connection, and an AGC circuit 8. The BPF 16 allows the passage of a component of a band wider than the amplification band of the whole of the FET band amplifier and reduces a 1/f noise by removing a low-band component of a signal output from the amplifier 13 at the third stage and thermal noise by removing the high-band component. This process enables a reduction in a residual noise during gain control included in a signal output from the amplifier 15 at the final stage.
