Abstract: A tubular preform for a blow molded container. The preform has a closed end and an opposite open end, the relative dimensions of the ends being such that the closed end would be receivable in the open end of a similar preform to nest there were it not for the provision of an antinesting feature in the form of at least one radially outwardly extending protrusion on the outer surface of the closed end of the preform to prevent the entry of the closed end into the open end of the adjacent preform.
Abstract: A device for dispensing building wrap in the form of a continuous sheeting from a supported supply roll wherein the device is capable of metering the rotation of at least one of two rotatingly mounted spindles. Brackets are provided to facilitate the temporary mounting of the device to the vertical surface of a building surface to be covered by the sheeting.
Abstract: An improved plastic container of the type suitable for containing carbonated beverages. The container is provided with a central section, an upper section including a typically threaded neck portion, and a lower end or base section typically including radially arrayed concave foot portions to support the container in an upright position. The horizontal cross-section of the central section manifests the configuration thereof to include a plurality of juxtaposed generally flat panels which upon pressurization of the container tend to blend together to form a circular cross-sectional configuration.
Abstract: A lock nut assembly for vehicle axles includes a pair of cooperative annular nut members hang threads formed on the inner peripheral surfaces compliment--and cooperating with the externally threaded shank of axle spindle. The nut members are coupled together threaded fastener means and spaced axially from one another. The threaded fasteners are to be tightened when the nut members are tightened on the threaded axle spindle to form a high stressed clamping force between the threads of the nut members and the threads of the axle spindle.

Abstract: A gel hand cleaner consists essentially of d-limonene, a solvent, C-11 alcohol ethoxylate, polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monooleate, a water-soluble acrylic polymer, sodium hydroxide, mixed isothiazolinones, 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, and the balance, water.
Abstract: A golf cart for persons who are obliged to traverse a golf course in a cart which includes a golf bag carrier mechanism, steering assembly, and an adjustable seat to enable the person to swing a golf club without interference with the aforementioned components. The seat may be rotated in either direction from the traversing axis of the cart to enable the person to face the golf ball to be struck. The steering mechanism and the golf bag carrier are capable of being moved to a position free from the swing pattern of the seated person.
Abstract: A tube forming machine having a pivotal mounted platform for receiving and holding the bearing block for the spindle of lower forming roll in the breakdown section which may be selectively indexed into supporting relation with the bearing block to eliminate the necessity of physically removing the bearing block from the roll stand assembly during the changeover from one lower forming roll to a forming roll of another size.
Abstract: A process for infusing sugar into fruits and vegetables comprises the steps of providing a quantity of produce, treating the produce for a period of time sufficient to cause osmotic rupturing of at least a portion of the cells within the produce by contacting the produce with water, then infusing the treated produce by contacting it with a concentrated infusion syrup in a stage-wise manner for a time sufficient to prepare an infused produce having a Brix level from about 40.degree. to about 52.degree..
Abstract: A glass fiber containing polymer sheet is prepared by providing a first polymer sheet, applying a layer of glass fibers onto the first polymer sheet, superposing over the layer of glass fibers a second polymer sheet, and laminating together the assemblage.
Abstract: A tufted carpet comprises consecutively a primary backing stitched with loops of yarn to form a tufted structure projecting outwardly from the primary backing, a layer of latex, a layer of polyolefin, and a secondary backing comprising a woven polyolefin.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for welding two tubular members together in butting relation is described. The method and apparatus include apparatus capable of delivering a purge gas to a zone adjacent the inner surface of the tubular members and effecting relative movement between the tubular members and a welding torch to weld the butting ends of the tubular members together.
Abstract: A system for providing water and liquid food to animals includes a container for water or liquid food, a support having an aperture for receiving the container and an elastomeric washer-like attachment having an inner wall and a spaced outer wall, the inner wall in intimate contact with the container and the outer wall having a portion extending outwardly from the container a sufficient distance to overlap the aperture in the support to thereby effectively support the container.
Abstract: A composite construction material comprises consecutive laminae of a kraft linerboard optionally coated with a sealant, a layer of polymer, a plurality of superposed layers of water-resistant paperboard adhered together, a second layer of polymer, and a second layer of kraft linerboard.
Abstract: A cleaner impregnated towel comprises a flexible, porous substrate, a cleaner comprising a salt of the coconut fatty acid ester of isethionic acid, and optionally an antimicrobial compound comprising 5-chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy) phenol and parachlorometaxylenol, impregnated within the substrate.
Abstract: An apparatus for boring horizontally extending holes at shallow depths beneath the surface of the earth having a frame detachable connected to the bucket of a backhoe. The frame is rigidly connected to the bucket for movement thereby and includes a coupling and drive unit which is detachably mounted within the frame so that the coupling and drive unit can be reversed to push or pull an auger connected thereto in opposite directions relative to the bucket.
Abstract: A perforated laminate comprises consecutive plies of a first layer of kraft paper, a first layer of polyolefin, a layer of polyolefin fabric, a second layer of polyolefin, and a second layer of kraft paper.
Abstract: A process for treating cutting tools to extend the useful duty cycles of the tools by immersing the tools to be treated in a bath of a solvent in sufficient amounts and at a temperature to remove contamination from the surface of the tools and to coat the tool surfaces with perfluoroethylene. The solvent and perfluoroethylene resin are circulated throughout the immersed tools for a time sufficient to coat the surfaces with polyfluoroethylene resin.
Abstract: A glass fiber containing polymer sheet is prepared by providing a non-woven carrier web, superposing an adhesion film over the carrier web, applying a layer of glass fibers onto the adhesion film, and laminating together the assemblage.
Abstract: A tube forming machine having at least two upper forming roll members in the breakdown section which may be selectively indexed into cooperative working relation with a lower forming roll member to produce different size tubes without the necessity of physically removing the upper forming roll member and replacing the same with another forming roll member of a different configuration.
