Abstract: The release device for multiple release compressed air brakes of railborne vehicles comprises a pressure reduction valve (12) which responds in the case of rapid brake applications and optionally of full brake applications, which in order to facilitate the brake release procedure and to accelerate the pressurization of the brake cylinder (13) feeds compressed air from the reference pressure chamber of the triple pressure control valve (2) into the brake cylinder (13). In addition, a sensor valve (25) is provided which, being monitored by an overflow valve (23) which only responds after at least full brake applications having been applied, is adapted to feed brake pressure from the brake cylinder (13) into the main air pipe (1).
Abstract: Wire which has been wound upon a spool or into a coil using a flyer which imparts a twist to the wound wire is unwound from the spool or coil by being withdrawn over an end of the spool or coil in a direction which neutralizes a twist and results in the unwound wire being twist-free.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a maximum pressure control device for the brake cylinder pressure that is to be supplied to a brake cylinder and this device can consist of two separate pressure control devices or be constructed as a unified, reversible pressure control device. The selection of one of the active pressure control devices or changeover of the switchable maximum pressure control device results from a main brake line pressure acting against a spring loaded control piston which, depending on the main brake line pressure, can switch off the pressure control function of the maximum pressure control device for the low (service) or high (emergency) brake cylinder pressure. The control piston when functioning as an actuated cut off device can be mechanically coupled with a pressure control device by means of a stop coupling or pneumatic coupling. As a result, the control piston is not able to exert any negative effect on the control precision of the maximum pressure control device.

On the supporting structure (3) there is a side flange (5), a lower flat support base (4) which can be extended outwards by a fluidynamic jack (4'), a support cheek (6) which can be moved against the base by means of a fluidynamic jack (6'), a slide clamp (7) opposite the flange (5) which can be moved by a fluidynamic jack (7') within which a bundle of bars is gripped.
Abstract: A rake for working crop lying on the ground having a pair of rotary rake wheels rotatably driven by gear boxes mounted at the ends of the frame beam. The first rake wheel is fixed to the frame beam, while the second rake wheel is mounted on a pivotable arm. The second rake wheel is so designed that it can be attached in two working positions. In the first position the rake wheels are transversely aligned to the direction of travel and driven in opposite directions so that the crop is direct between them. In the other position the rake wheels are located obliquely one behind the other and driven in the same direction so as to direct the crop to one side of the rake.

Abstract: A pressure control valve for the compressed air brakes of a railway vehicle includes a triple pressure control valve with a constant pressure chamber, a selector valve and a selector reservoir. Upon the occurrence of pressure reductions in the main brake line for service braking, the selector valve selector remains at rest. When stronger pressure reductions in the main brake line occur, the selector valve evacuates the selector reservoir which lags in relation to the main brake line pressure as result of the force exerted by a pre-stressed spring until a specific minimum pressure is attained by a retention valve. In a subsequent brake release, the selector valve will produce a pressure balance between the constant pressure chamber and the selector reservoir to facilitate the brake release process and a balancing or proportioning of the pressure control valve at an optionally reduced normal pressure head in the main brake line.

Abstract: Wire is wound in conical layers upon a conical core of a reel or other structure upon which wire can be wound until a predetermined outer diameter of a wound reel is reached. The wire is then wound in layers of decreasing lengths to form a wound reel which has an outer cylindrical shape of the same diameter. A reel can be used from which the core can be removed after winding so that upon unwinding, the wire can be pulled from the interior of the wound reel.
Abstract: An automatic lead advancing mechanism for a mechanical pencil has at its writing point a lead guide tube which is movable axially against a clamping member to cause radially movable components of the clamping member to clamp the lead therein during the writing position of the pencil. The lead guide tube moves axially inwardly against a force exerted by a compression spring interposed between the clamping member and a thrust member, a portion of which is engaged by the lead guide tube and another portion of which has a beveled surface engaging a correspondingly beveled surface on the clamping member. The co-acting beveled surfaces exert both axial and radial forces to the clamping member.
Abstract: A device for mowing crop comprising a cutting member to be rotated about an upwardly extending rotary axis and supporting at least one upwardly extending pin located near the outer circumference of the cutting member, said pin being guarded in the cutting member with the aid of a pin-engaging end of a spring, while a cutting knife is freely rotatable about said pin whereby the end of the spring engaging the pin is slidably arranged in a recess in the pin, whereas the end of the spring remote from the pin is guarded against shifting transversely of the longititudinal axis of the pin with the aid of parts of the cutting member at least partly surrounding the end concerned and being loosely in engagement with the spring.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a key keeper comprising a key-retaining loop 3 with an opening 17 for the receipt of keys; said loop is connected to a loop holder 2 being slideably mounted within a housing 1. The loop is being closed if the holder is in its slid-in position, whereas the loop can be opened if the holder is partially slid out of the housing. Means are further provided for locking the holder in its slid-in position. The means for locking the holder consist of a wheel 4, which is rotatably mounted in the housing, the rotation of which can be prevented by a snap connection 11. By rotating the wheel 4, the loop holder is displaced in or out of the housing 1.
Abstract: A composition obtained by mixing fly ash, calciumsulphate hemihydrate and oxisludge, a product caught from gases emanating from converters during steel production.Oxisludge containing substantial amounts of iron is used in an amount comprised between 0,2 and 10%, preferably 1 to 5%.The composition is a loose mass or consists of granular products.
Abstract: A tobacco product with a high specific volume and particularly suited for use as cigarette or cigar filler produced by laminating together two sheets of reconstituted tobacco sheet under conditions so that the resulting laminate, after shredding, contains shreds in which the plies are only partly adhered and partly separated, whereby a filler having substantially increased filling power is produced as compared with conventional reconstituted tobacco sheet.
Abstract: An automatic brake resetting device for railway vehicle brakes has two telescopingly displaceable rod members which transmit a braking force. A rotatable coupling element having a threaded shaft with a non-self-locking thread is connected to one of the rod members and a rotary coupling connects the coupling element with the other rod member. The rotary coupling is actuated by axial displacement of the rotatable coupling element with respect to the other rod member and is urged by a spring into the engaged position between the rotatable coupling element and the other rod member. A lever transmits force between a control stop device slideably supported on a guide member and the rotatable coupling element and has such a transmission ratio so as to amplify the force transmitted from a spring of the control stop device to the coupling element.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for the extraction and generation of solvent for continuous injection into a reservoir or subterranean deposit for the recovery of crude oil or liquified coal. Solvent contained in the recovered liquid mixture of organic compounds is vaporized by the bubbling and agitation of atmospheric air through a tank in which the recovered liquid mixture has been pumped. Various solvent compounds such as ethers or aromatic hydrocarbons are vaporized and drawn off from the tank by a suction pump or compressor and continuously reinjected into the deposit through an injection well. Apparatus in the form of a vertically disposed tube having an ambient atmospheric inlet is disposed within the solvent generator tank. Conventional storage tanks may be converted for the process by utilizing a telescoping tube arrangement which may be installed through a standard gaging or inspection port in the tank.
