    Abstract: A valve for controlling liquids for its actuation is provided with a liquid-filled coupling chamber, which is disposed between a step-up piston, actuatable by a piezoelectric actuator, and a piston that actuates a valve member. To compensate for leakage in the coupling chamber that is at high pressure, a filling valve is provided. The filling valve is disposed between the step-up piston and the piezoelectric actuator. Upon each return stroke of the piezoelectric actuator, the step-up piston follows the piezoelectric actuator with a time lag, so that the filling valve opens briefly and allows filling of the coupling chamber. The valves intended for use in fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines of motor vehicles.

    Abstract: An electric drive unit having an electric drive motor and a transmission. The electric drive motor has an armature shaft which extends, for example, to a worm shaft of the transmission. The shaft is embodied of one piece with the armature shaft. A first bearing and a second bearing are provided to support the armature shaft. The second bearing is embodied as a ball bearing with an outer ring, an inner ring, and balls. The inner ring is press-fitted in a rotationally fixed manner onto the armature shaft. The outer ring is slid into a receiving bore disposed in the transmission housing and is pressed against an axial stop face adjoining the receiving bore by means of a retaining part that is supported in an installation channel and has flexible tongues that are directed toward the outer ring. This axial pressing can be produced in an easy-to-assemble fashion and is also inexpensive thanks to a low cost of the retaining part.

    Abstract: A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, having a fuel injection pump, which can be inserted into a housing of the engine and is axially clamped together with a fuel injection valve by means of a clamping sleeve. The valve, with an end remote from the pump, protrudes into a combustion chamber of the engine. A fuel supply line to the fuel injection pump feeds into an annular chamber encompassing the clamping sleeve and, via through openings in the clamping sleeve and inlet conduits in the pump housing, the valve can be connected to a pump working chamber of fuel injection pump. According to the invention, the fuel filter in the inlet to the pump working chamber is constituted by the clamping sleeve, which has a multitude of filter openings for this purpose in its circumference wall, in the vicinity of the annular chamber.

The hollow cone, which is in fluid communication with the pressure opening, promotes the buildup of a fluid film between the gear ring and the housing, which improves the wear resistance of the gear pump.

To control the duration of high-pressure injection, an electrically actuated valve is provided with a valve member in a valve chamber that communicates with the pump work chamber and from a second valve chamber, communicates with a low-pressure region. To terminate the high-pressure injection, the valve member makes a communication between the two valve chambers, whereupon the outflow of the fuel stream is controlled by disposing a diameter constriction in the connecting line, thus reducing any tendency to cavitation.
