Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a toothbrush having needle-shaped bristles, and a toothbrush manufactured by the method. The toothbrush manufacturing method of the present invention includes the step of partially tapering ends of bristles, which are made of polyester and are set in a toothbrush body, through a physical grinding process, and the step of completing of a process of tapering the partially tapered bristles by immersing the partially tapered bristles in a chemical. The present invention makes it possible for toothbrush bristles to be tapered through a simple process. Furthermore, the present invention solves conventional difficulties occurring in tapering bristles after setting them in toothbrush bodies.

Abstract: The present invention provides a lateral draft tube for a water control valve core, which is defined by a through-type groove and upper and lower openings. The through-type groove is sleeved around the shell of the water control valve core. The upper and lower portions have different diameters on the external wall of the draft tube. A ring flange is formed on the upper portion, and a guide ring surface is formed on the lower portion. The ring flange is provided with a sealing ring, and a drainage portion is arranged at the lower end of the draft tube to connect the through-type groove and guide ring surface. The draft tube can be located higher than the water control valve core, such that upward flow of the guide ring surface is not limited by the water control valve core. Thus, the upward flow of the water control valve core improves.

Abstract: A wave energy converter has a shell, a pendulum pivotally positioned in the shell, a magnet thereon, a variable inductor positioned in the shell, a pendulum adjustor for changing a center of gravity of the pendulum, a motion sensor positioned in the shell, a position sensor connected to the pendulum, a rotation sensor connected to the pendulum, and a controller connected to the motion sensor and the position sensor and the rotation sensor. The pendulum has a magnet thereon. The magnet of the pendulum oscillates adjacent the variable inductor. The variable inductor can adjust the inductive capacity.

Abstract: A blade for a wind turbine has a surface with a first color band and a second color band and a third color band thereon in spaced relationship to each other. A luminescent band extends in the space between said first, second and third color bands. The first, second and third color bands are of different colors. The luminescent band extends around a periphery of each of first, second and third color bands. The first color band is a red color. The second color band is a white color. The third color band is a blue color.

Abstract: An apparatus for fixing an orientation of a duct in concrete segmental construction has an elongated body, a frame having an inner surface facing the elongated body, and an angle adjusting means connecting the inner surface of the frame to the elongated body. The elongated body is orientable relative to the frame about the ball joint. The angle adjusting means includes a pin extending through the frame, a ball mounted on the pin, and a flange mounted to the ball so as to be in surface-to-surface contact with an end of the elongated body. The pin is operably connected to the ball so as to fix an orientation of the flange.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electrochemical sensing test piece without hemocyte interference, including a main body, electrode unit, reaction tank and chemical reaction zone. The detection zone of the electrode unit corresponds to the inserting end of the main body, and the reaction zone of the electrode unit corresponds to the sensing end of the main body. The reaction tank is arranged onto the sensing end correspondingly to the reaction zone of the electrode unit. The reaction tank is provided with a porous filter layer, whose aperture must be less than 6 ?m for or separation of hemocyte in the blood sample. A chemical reaction zone is arranged between the porous filter layer and the reaction zone of the electrode unit. The hemocyte of the blood sample can be blocked and filtered by the porous filter layer, ensuring that the serum of blood sample can enter into the chemical reaction zone.

Abstract: A method for forming a sheathing retaining anchor of a post-tension anchor system includes the steps of: forming an anchor having a bore where the bore has a tapered portion and a constant diameter portion, inserting an end of a tendon through the bore of the anchor so that the end of the tendon extends outwardly of tapered portion of the bore of the anchor, positioning a sheathing lock on the end of the sheathed portion or a tendon, placing a pair of wedges on the unsheathed portion of the tendon, and moving the sheathing lock and the pair of wedges into the bore of the anchor so that the sheathing lock affixes the end of the sheathed portion within the bore and so that the pair of wedges affixes the unsheathed portion within the bore.

A circular cap is provided on the lower portion of the head, and has cylindrical space. A filter cap is mounted to the circular cap. A filter cartridge has a filtering part which is provided with a filter to purify water. A plurality of fastening holes is formed in the outer circumference of the circular cap, and has a step. Locking parts are disposed in the fastening holes to lock the filter cartridge. An elastic member surrounds the circular cap and the outer surfaces of the supports parts, thus elastically supporting the locking parts to the fastening holes. The filter cap has on the outer circumference of the upper portion thereof a plurality of fastening holes into which the locking parts are fitted.

Abstract: The present invention provides novel HIV protease inhibitors containing substituted borane, carborane or metallacarborane clusters with 6 to 12 boron atoms in each cluster. The charge of each borane, carborane or metallacarborane cluster is 0, ?1 or ?2. The number of borane, carborane or metallacarborane clusters in the inhibitor molecule is 1 to 9, and the carborane clusters in metallacarborane inhibitors are coordinated to transition metal atom, selected from the group containing cobalt, iron, nickel and ruthenium. In the cluster, heteroatoms can be present, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, silicon, germanium, tin and sulphur. The present invention covers pharmaceutical compositions containing these inhibitors and their use, both in vitro and in vivo. They are characterized by high effectiveness and stability.

The base of the attachment pole is removable manner and has at least one anchoring plate extending laterally with respect to the base of the pole. The plate has an elongate shape and a size such that a large portion of its length can be slipped beneath one of the ends of a water basin lying on the ground. The mass of water contained in the basin firmly blocks the pole, thereby immobilizing and stabilizing the attachment pole.

A plurality of outflow guide holes are arranged at intervals along a circular path of the eccentric circumferential portion of the outflow turntable. The outflow guide holes can be located corresponding to the water outlet in line with the change of rotation/displacement angle of the outflow turntable.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing an exhaust element of an exhaust line of a vehicle with a heat engine. The exhaust element includes a box having, internally, at least one compartment and at least one tube extending at least partly inside such a compartment. The method includes inserting sound-insulation into at least one such compartment. The insertion is ensured through injection into such a compartment through an opening in the tube from the inside of the tube. The invention also relates to an exhaust element obtained by implementing this method, including forming a box with at least one compartment containing sound-insulation and at least one tube extending at least partly inside at least one such compartment, the tube having an opening provided for in the body of the tube.

Abstract: A three-dimensional profile inspecting apparatus includes at least two optical inspecting apparatuses and a tilt angle adjusting mechanism. The tilt angle adjusting mechanism is equipped with the at least two optical inspecting apparatuses so as to adjust the tilt angles of the at least two optical inspecting apparatuses. When the tilt angles of the optical inspecting apparatuses are changed, the focuses of the optical inspecting apparatuses remain at a single position and a subject to be inspected is within the fields of view of the optical inspecting apparatuses. The three-dimensional profile of the subject can be obtained by building the images collected by the two optical inspecting apparatuses.

The mating side of operating lever is fitted with a limiting rabbet and a guide opening extended in an outward-dipping state. The mechanism can swing and also shift vertically, making it possible to control the guide opening of the mating side of operating lever for outward-dipping extension.
