Abstract: A method is disclosed for inhibiting the action of TNF for treating muscular diseases in a human by administering a TNF antagonist for reducing the inflammation of muscle of a human, or for modulating the immune response affecting the muscle of a human by administering a therapeutically effective dosage level to the human of a TNF antagonist.
Abstract: Liquid chemical compositions are disclosed for anaerobic biodegradation, detoxification, and transformation of toxic organic and inorganic compounds in a contaminated geologic media under reducing conditions, including, but not limited to, denitrifying, manganese-reducing, iron-reducing and sulfate-reducing conditions. One such liquid chemical composition includes sodium nitrate in the range of one-fifth (0.2) to four (4) pounds per gallon of the chemical composition; sodium hexametaphosphate or other biologically hydrolyzable ring or linear polyphosphate in the range of one twentieth (0.05) to five (5) pounds per gallon of the chemical composition; a surfactant in the range of 0.01% to 10% by volume of the chemical composition; and a diluent in the form of water.
A bioremediation apparatus is disclosed for anaerobic biodegradation, detoxification, and transformation of toxic organic and inorganic compounds in a contaminated geologic media.

Abstract: A hair brush for multi-purpose hair styling and hair grooming. The hair brush includes a brush housing having an outer stationary frame section having short bristles thereon and an inner movable frame section having long bristles thereon; and a handle section attached to one end of the brush housing. A plurality of connecting springs are used for movably connecting the inner movable frame section to the outer stationary frame section. A slide button member is used for pushing the inner movable frame section from a first position to a second position. The inner movable frame section is movable between the first position and the second position to repeatedly move the inner movable frame section in a forward and reverse direction relative to the outer stationary frame section such that the long bristles operate to move the user's hair laterally relative to the direction of movement.
