  • Patent number: 7974652
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for coordination of the interference in the uplink between cells (B1,B2) of a single frequency network with the frequency band used for uplink being subdivided into at least two subsets(F1 F2. . . FR), whereby a resource related to a dedicated subset is allocated to a mobile terminal (T1) located in a first cell (B1) of said cells in the border area to a neighbor cell (B2-B4), the based station of the cell (B2) with the highest interference damage caused by the mobile terminal (T1) accepts a high interference level on said dedicated subset dependent on network criteria, and the usage of said dedicated subset in the cell (B2) with the highest interference damage caused by the mobile terminal (T1) is restricted under observation of the interference level, a base station, a mobile terminal and a mobile network therefor.

  • Patent number: 7973949
Abstract: A system is provided for forming a print shop configuration with a first set of equipment, the first set of equipment being derived from a second set of equipment from a first print shop and a third set of equipment from a second print shop. The system includes a manager and application, the manager and application working together to generate a list of at least some of all possible print shop configurations that could be formed with a selected number of cells. The cells are populated with selected pieces of equipment from the second and third sets of multiple pieces of equipment. A criterion is used to select, from the list of possible print shop configurations, the print shop configuration with the first set of equipment.

  • Patent number: 7969624
Abstract: Disclosed herein are optimal or near optimal algorithms implemented as software tools that will allow the user/machine to identify optimal media out of the job set automatically. There are at least two main process steps to the exemplary embodiment. The first step involves the off-line characterization of the printing/image rendering system that will be used to extract the principal basis vectors from the experimental data. The second step involves the run-time mode, in which the pre-characterized basis vectors are used in conjunction with an optimal algorithm that will identify the media for re-calibration/re-characterization from the group of media set that the customer is interested to print. The optimal algorithm performs the combinatorial search every time the customer wishes to select the media. Once the optimal media is selected, the customer or the machine can print color patches (which are also optimal set) and execute the rest of the processing to reconstruct the best color management LUTs.

  • Patent number: 7969949
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and a base station for allocating bandwidth for subscriber stations and a backhaul station through taking into joint consideration uplink and down bandwidth requests from respective subscriber stations in a wireless single-hop self-backhaul network. Upon receipt of information on bandwidth requests from the subscriber stations, the base station takes uplink and downlink bandwidth requests into joint consideration, allocates bandwidth for the subscriber stations and the backhaul station, and then notifies the subscriber stations and the backhaul station. Since bandwidth allocation is no longer based on uplink and downlink resources separately, a relatively high system bandwidth utilization ratio can be achieved and uplink and downlink bandwidth fairness for asymmetric traffic be ensured even if the network is overloaded.
