Abstract: A sentiment classifier for sentiment classification of content. An aspect classifier is configured to classify content as being related to a particular aspect of information, the aspect classifier incorporating at least a portion of the domain specific sentiment lexicon. A polarity classifier is then configured to classify the content classified by the aspect classifier as having one of a positive sentiment of the particular aspect of information, a negative sentiment of the particular aspect of information or as having no sentiment as to the particular aspect of information. The polarity classifier also incorporating at least a portion of the domain specific sentiment lexicon.

Abstract: A system resizes content within a document that includes a document segmenter that receives a document that contains content. The document segmenter analyzes the content within the document and segments the content into a plurality of object types. An object priority applicator determines a class value associated with each object type. A location scaler identifies a datum point for each object type within the document, wherein each datum point maintains a relative location to one another regardless of document resizing. An object sizing component resizes each object based at least in part upon the class value.

Abstract: A mechanism for providing edge enhancement or attenuation in a vector error diffusion process includes warping a marking decision color space as a function of at least one pixel value of a target pixel. The warping changes the membership of sets of error modified pixel values associated particular sets of marking. The warping is controlled by a function of pixel values of a target pixel from an input image. Therefore, the warping is constant for uniform portions of the image. Since pixel values change at edges or where colors change, a mechanism is provided for the presence of edges to influence the vector error diffusion process. Selection of the function by which the marking decision color space is warped provides a means for controlling the aggressiveness of the edge enhancement or attenuation. Equivalent processing includes warping or adjusting error modified pixel values according to corresponding functions.

Abstract: A string light engine includes a flexible power cord, a heat sink, an IDC terminal, a PCB, and an LED. The flexible power cord includes an electrical wire and an insulating material for the wire. The heat sink attaches to the power cord. The IDC terminal is inserted through the insulating material and electrically communicates with the wire. The PCB is at least partially received in the heat sink. The PCB includes a first surface having circuitry and a second surface opposite the first surface. The circuitry is in electrical communication with the IDC terminal. The second surface is abutted against a surface of the heat sink so that heat is transferred from the LED into the heat sink. The LED mounts to the first surface of the PCB and is in electrical communication with the circuitry.

Abstract: Nano-composite structures are formed by pre-loading carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into at least one of a plurality of channels running the length of a cartridge, placing the pre-loaded cartridge in a piston chamber of a die-casting machine, creating a vacuum therein, and filing the piston chamber with molten metal to soak the pre-loaded cartridge and fill empty cartridge channels. Pressure is applied via the piston to eject the carbon nanotubes and molten metal from the cartridge channels and inject the nano-composite mixture into a rod-shaped die cavity. The internal diameter of the cavity is equal to or less than the final diameter of the nozzle. The nano-composite mixture is cooled to form a solid nano-composite rod having the first predetermined diameter, wherein the carbon nanotubes are aligned in a non-random manner. Furthermore, drawing down the nano-composite rod to smaller diameter wire further disperses the nanotubes along the length of the wire.

Abstract: A system categorizes one or more objects based at least in part upon one or more characteristics associated therewith. A first classifier includes a rule set to determine if each of the one or more objects meets or exceeds a quality threshold. A second classifier, orthogonal to the first classifier, includes a rule set to determine if each of the one or more objects meets or exceeds a quality threshold. In one embodiment, the quality threshold associated with the first classifier and the quality threshold associated with the second classifier are less than a predetermined target threshold. The result for each object of the first classifier is compared to the result of the second classifier. The object is categorized if the result of the first classifier and the result of the second classifier match. The object is uncategorized if the result of the first classifier does not match the result of the second classifier.

Abstract: A print mediator includes an interface module which serves as an interface for a document to be submitted for printing. The interface module communicates with an associated printing infrastructure for acquiring color rendering information for a print queue of the printing infrastructure. A reviewing application receives the acquired color rendering information and generates a visual representation of a document to be submitted for printing based thereon. Problems relating to color rendering by the printing infrastructure are detected and proposals for correction are presented to the submitter by the reviewing application. The user can review the proposals and accept or reject them as well as making annotations on the document. An analogous reviewing application is accessed by the print shop operator to review the document and submitter's annotations.

Abstract: Reference identification and resolution identifies reference text fragments in a document and associates referenced object text fragments in the document with the identified reference text fragments. Reference profiles are abstracted from the document. Each reference profile specifies at least a reference number and an object type identifier. A reference profile is paired with an object text fragment of the document containing the reference number of the reference profile. The pairing is repeated to associate reference profiles with object text fragments. A reference text fragment of the document satisfying one of the reference profiles is associated with the object text fragment paired with the satisfied reference profile. The associating is repeated to associate reference text fragments of the document with object text fragments.

Abstract: The present application discloses a new and novel system and apparatus for improving the accuracy with which a person may apply eye drops to their own eye. The apparatus holds a bottle of eye drops at a fixed and certain distance above the eye, beside the nose, and below the forehead brow such that the user may easily apply eye drops consistently to one particular portion of their own eye. The apparatus sits on the nasion of the nose using a nasal bridge device and also rests on two pillars that are placed on the user's forehead. Used in such a manner, the apparatus facilitates one-handed eye drop application, facilitates both non-visual alignment and oblique alignment, and reduces reflective blinking.

Abstract: Disclosed are moiré-free color halftoning methods, apparatus and systems to digitally reproduce an original color image. The disclosed embodiments are particularly useful for rendering a color image with a color printing device. According to one exemplary embodiment, an image forming method utilizes three or four rotated hexagonal screens which can include regular shaped hexagon screens or convex tessellated hexagon screens.

Abstract: A system and method for achieving process spot color consistency using white and CMYK toners is disclosed. The present application employs traditional CMYK using the automated spot color editing approach and enhances this approach by applying a white toner to the printing substrate prior to applying the color. This new and novel method will improve the color printing technology for printing or alternately, applying the application of the white as a distinct separation layer for the color toner separations, on plastics, ceramics, woods, and other such non-paper materials.

Abstract: Switching control systems and methods are presented for controlling power conversion systems to provide electrical power to a grid or other load in which a synchronous machine is driven by a wind turbine or other prime mover to provide generator power to a switching type current source converter (CSC), with a current source rectifier (CSR) of the CSC being switched to provide d-axis control of the synchronous machine current based on grid power factor feedback, and with a current source inverter (CSI) of the CSC being switched to provide leading firing angle control and selective employment of dumping resists to dissipate excess generator energy in a fault mode when a grid voltage drops below a predetermined level.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for reacting a natural oil with a short chain alcohol in the presence of alkaline catalyst, in which a mixture of natural oil, short chain alcohol and alkaline catalyst is fed in one direction along a pipe reactor under transitional or turbulent conditions, so that the reactants are mixed in a direction normal to the flow direction to a greater degree than in a direction parallel to the flow direction or so that the reactants are mixed in a direction normal to the flow direction, such that the time taken for 90% of the elements of fluid to pass through the reactor is within 20% of the mean residence time of reactant in the reactor. There is also provided a ship, comprising means for storing a raw material used in the synthesis of biodiesel, a plant for the synthesis of biodiesel and means for storing the biodiesel synthesized.

Abstract: A printing system comprises a paper path architecture for parallel printing using multiple marking engines. The media path configuration enables all the media feed trays to be located in one place, relative to the marking engines. A cross-over module is located between marking engines. The cross-over module can interleave media sheets that are being transported away from a first marking engine with the sheets being transported to the second marking engine. The cross-over module also includes a straight through path that enables media sheets to be transported directly to a finishing device without going through either marking engine. The marking engines include internal duplex loops such that media can be supplied to each engine in alternate groups. A merge module selectively merges the media which can then be further processed in a finishing transition module prior to communication to a finishing device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for mapping pilot signals in a multiplexing mode of unicast service and Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS). The method comprises the steps of: generating pilot symbols for the unicast service and the MBMS service, respectively; mapping the pilot symbols for the MBMS service to multiple transmit antennas such that, in a subframe, the pilot symbols for the MBMS service for each antenna are arranged in a same time domain and adjacent to each other, the pilot symbols for the MBMS service for the same transmit antenna are spaced from each other by a predetermined number of subcarriers in the frequency domain and by a predetermined number of OFDM symbols in the time domain, and the pilot symbols for the MBMS service for the same transmit antenna are arranged in a staggered form along the time domain, and mapping the pilot symbols for the unicast service at the same time.

The document access method and system are based on a social network model which interconnects members of the social network as a function of trust. This framework provides a basis for documents to be accessed by members which are not directly specified by a document's owner, while providing a certain degree of document security.
