    Abstract: This invention discloses an apparatus for cutting tubular objects such as rubber hoses and the like. It comprises a cutting blade movably positioned within a main body and includes a first and second actuator. A retainer is used to hold the tubular object before the cutting blade. The first actuator is secured to the cutting blade and the second to the retainer. Upon securing a tubular object in said retainer, the first actuator is activated thereby allowing the cutting blade to sever the object.

These elements extend laterally across the panel, and are dimensioned such that a pair of adjacent parallel side edges of two corresponding panels can mate. Preferably, each corrugation has a planar element arranged on lines generally perpendicular to the side edge defining congruent elements with triangular faces meeting at the apex.By such arrangement, a panel is obtained which in conjunction with other such panels, can produce a curved surface, which curvature may be reversed in direction in any point along a structure surface, by inverting the next adjacent series of panels.

    Abstract: A universal tensioning device for blinds and shades comprises a U-shaped channel member which has oppositely disposed open ends which provide first and second access passages and a third access passage opening through the bottom wall of the channel member. A winding shaft is mounted for rotation in the side walls of the channel member and extends transversely across the channel directly above the third access passage. A ratchet wheel is provided at one end of the winding shaft and is located externally of a side wall of the channel. A socket is formed in the end of the winding shaft. A dog is pivotally mounted on the side wall of the channel member for movement into and out of engagement with the ratchet wheel. A biasing spring is provided for releaseably urging the dog toward the ratchet wheel. A pair of these tensioning devices are located in a chamber formed in the header rail of a venetian blind which also accommodates the slat angling mechanism and height adjustment mechanism.

    Abstract: A feeder mechanism for feeding load items in a predetermined spaced relationship into a loading station of a carton loading machine comprises at least two conveyors which move at different speeds along the same path and elevator ramps on each of the conveyors. The primary conveyor has a forward run mounted for movement at a first predetermined speed in a forward direction. The forward run has an input end for receiving load items and it extends forwardly from the input end into a spacing station. The secondary conveyor has a forward run mounted for movement at a second speed in the forward direction which is faster than the first speed. At least a portion of the forward run of the second conveyor is located adjacent and coextensive with a portion of the forward run of the primary conveyor in the spacing station. A plurality of elevator ramps are mounted on the secondary conveyor at longitudinally spaced intervals therealong.

There may also be a second jaw connected to the frame on a side of the opening opposite the first jaw by a second pivotal connection near the bottom of the second jaw. A second toggle mechanism is operatively associated with the bottom mounted jaw. The crushing apparatus may have a toggle mount which is movable towards or away from the associated jaw.

The margins connect adjacent side edges of the front and back panels. The detachable tear strip margins are severable from their associated panels along weakened tear lines to provide an unloading opening through which the contents of the envelope may be removed.

    Abstract: A process for preserving fresh fruit or vegetable products comprises the steps of; heating the fruit or vegetable product rapidly and uniformly to a temperature sufficient to destroy the natural enzymes which are present in the product without cooking the product, and immediately thereafter, cooling said product rapidly to a cold condition to remove the enzyme destroying heat before any significant cooking of the product can occur and to cool the product to a temperature which will inhibit deterioration of the freshness thereof. The blank being cut to form a second handle panel and a first glue flap which extends downwardly from the upper edge. The first glue flap is hingedly connected to the second handle panel along one of the fold lines. The blank is cut to form a third handle panel and a second glue flap which extends downwardly from the upper edge. The third handle panel has one edge hingedly connected to the central handle panel.

A seat is formed in the main frame for seating the secondary frame in the window opening of the main frame. The seat has an entranceway opening laterally from a first side of the frame to permit lateral insertion or lateral removal of the secondary frame into and out of the seat through a first end of the window opening. A first stop is provided at the other side edge of the seat. The stop projects inwardly of the window opening and serves to prevent direct removal of the secondary frame from the seat through the other side of the window opening. A locking device is provided which fits within the other end of the window opening to cooperate with the main frame and the secondary frame to lock the secondary frame in the main frame when it is seated in the seat.
