Abstract: A part for connecting a fluid line to an opening of a container comprised of thermoplastic material or for closing the opening of the container has a first component and a second component of thermoplastic material. The first component has a surface to be connected to the container by forming a welded heat fusion joint. The first component has an insufficient diffusion barrier capability relative to hydrocarbon fuel. Compared to the material of the first component, the material of the second component has higher diffusion barrier capability, reduced swelling capability relative hydrocarbon fuel, higher mechanical strength, and higher thermal shape stability. The first component encloses the second component at least up to an injection location remote from the connecting surface. The material of the second component is injected into the still formable core of the material of the first component via the injection location.
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjusting roll for the rapid adjustment of rolls in rolling frames, among others vertical upset forging frames, comprising at least one respective piston, which acts on both sides of a working roll to adjust the latter, by means of assembled parts of at least one working roll or an interposed support roll. The inventive adjusting roll has been improved by the provision of a piston (KO), which is equipped with two piston rods (ST1, ST2) that point in opposite directions and the piston or pistons (KO) are inserted into a respective cavity in the roll base (ZB) or roll cover (ZD), said base and cover comprising coaxial bores for conducting the piston rods (ST1, ST2).
Abstract: Disclosed is a sealing device (16) for a rotatably mounted roll (15). Said sealing device (16) comprises at least one annular body which sits on a roll neck (2), encompasses said roll neck (2), and is provided with at least one outward-extending lip (21) that rests in a sealing manner against a stationary part (7) during rotation of the roll. Said ring body is embodied in at least two pieces (17; 18), one first piece (17) resting against one part (2) of the roll (15) and one second piece (18) encompassing at least one outward-extending lip (21, 22).
Abstract: A pigmented ink for printing on untreated vinyl foils or substrates coated with vinyl by means of piezoelectric printing systems which include at least one heating device, wherein the ink is composed of a liquid carrier substance, water insoluble coloring agents, polymeric binding agents, drying decelerators, as well as additional additives, wherein the liquid carrier substance is composed of water and drying decelerators which are mixable in water. The liquid carrier substance has a content of at least 80% by weight water and the content of drying decelerators is composed of at least butyldiglycol and 1-metaxipropanol-2, and the ink has a pH-value of greater than 8.5.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for adjusting specific quality characteristics and/or properties of pipes (1) by means of a pressure test, especially for steel pipes of pipe conduits for combustible media. According to said method, in addition to the water volume required for the pressure test according to DIN EN 10208 part 2, an additional water volume (12) is filled into every single pipe (1) with the proviso that the pipe material is slightly subjected to plastic stress.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for hot-dip coating a metal bar (1), particularly a steel strip, in which the metal bar (1) is vertically directed through a container (3) receiving the molten coating metal (2) and a directing channel (4) that is arranged upstream thereof. Said device comprises at least two inductors (5) which are disposed on both sides of the metal bar (1) in the zone of the directing channel (4) and generate an electromagnetic field for retaining the coating metal (2) within the container (3). In order to better control the coating process, the inventive device is characterized by a sealing means (7, 7?) which is arranged above the directing channel (4) in the bottom area (6) of the container (3) and alternatively releases or interrupts the flow of molten coating metal (2) to the metal bar (1) and/or the directing channel (4).

Abstract: A roller device, which includes a right bearing housing, a left bearing housing and a roller, which is rotatably supported by journals in the bearing housings in continuous casting plants. A cooling medium is passed through an axial bore in the roller, and bores, which form a closed cavity, are arranged around the bearings mounted in each of the bearing housings. A cooling medium inlet is provided in a first of the bearing housings, and a discharge bore for the cooling medium, which is arranged on the end face of a second of the bearing housings, is located next to the bearing cover so that the cooling medium flows into the inlet in the first bearing housing, through the axial bore in the roller and out the discharge bore in the second bearing housing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a flow cell comprising a layered arrangement of three plates (3-5) in which an intermediate plate (4) consisting of a flexible material is inserted between plates (3, 5) consisting of a more solid material, and at least one of the plates comprises at least one recess (15, 17) for receiving fluid, that is bordered by another plate (3, 5) of the layered arrangement. Such recesses are especially microchannels and reaction chambers. According to the invention, the plates are interconnected by means arranged parallel to the plate plane at a distance to the recess, compressing the intermediate plate.
Abstract: A motor vehicle with an automobile body having two rigid body regions located on both sides above side window regions. At least two panel-shaped roof sections lay behind one another between the two body regions, which roof sections can move relative to the lateral body sections, and can move out of the closed position into an open position further below in the automobile body. From the closed position of the roof sections, a front roof section can be moved over a rear roof section by guiding it laterally like a sliding sunroof. The front end regions of the roof sections can be raised from this position so that the roof sections can be lowered into the automobile body. In the closed position of the roof sections, a rear window, which can be separately moved between an open position and a closed position, borders directly on the rear roof section.

Abstract: In a rudder for ships composed of a rudder blade with a rudder post (40) held and supported in a rudder trunk (20), the rudder trunk (20) is made of a fiber composite material and is inserted into a nautical outer trunk tube (90) made of steel or of another appropriate material prepared by a shipyard, extending into the lower edge of the head box and inserted into the rudder blade (30). After alignment of the rudder trunk (20) in the nautical trunk tube (90), the intermediate space between both components (20, 90) is cast with a cast resin, or both components (20, 90) are bonded together.
