Abstract: The invention relates to a device for supporting and oscillating a continuous casting mold (1) for continuously casting molten metals, particularly molten metal materials, comprising: guide elements (4) symmetrically arranged on both sides of the central longitudinal axis (2) of the casting; fixed supporting parts (5), and; a continuous casting mold (1) supported on paired oscillating devices (6). The inventive device facilitates the accessibility to individual modules for maintaining and/or eliminating damages. To this end, a module (7) that, itself, can be removed, is formed from paired bearing blocks (9) with guide elements (4) and with a supporting casing (7a) connected to said bearing blocks. The module is placed upon a stationary submodule (7b) and detachably connected thereto.

Abstract: A method for producing a tapping valve formed as a plastic injection-molded part for plastic or metal shipping and storage tanks for liquids, wherein, in a first process step, the screw cap for screwing the valve onto the outlet connection of a liquid tank is produced in a first injection mold, the screw cap is then placed in a second injection mold, and in a second process step, the valve body is produced in the second injection mold in such a way that the inlet connection of the valve body passes through the opening of the ring shoulder and the threaded hole of the screw cap with clearance, and the collar of the inlet connection of the valve body is located inside the screw cap. In a second method, the valve body and its inlet connection are injection-molded as separate parts in a first process step, and in a second process step, the inlet connection, with a screw cap slipped onto it, is welded onto the valve body.
Abstract: A device for the support and oscillation of a continuous casting mould (1) for casting liquid metal, particularly liquid steel, comprising guide elements (4) which are mounted on fixed carrier components (5) and which is actually by means of oscillation devices (6). In order to shorten time required for mounting and dismounting and therefor to lower the down times and costs of said continuous casting device, a first module (7) is made of guide elements (4) and carrier components (5) and a second module (8) consists of the oscillation device (6). The second module (8) can be dismantled via an outlet (9) which extends laterally, perpendicular to the plane of symmetry (2) below the guide elements (4) or in between guide elements (4). Each of the two modules (7,8) can be dismounted or re-mounted in a manner which is temporally and locally independent from the other respective module (7,8).

Abstract: An oil film bearing (1) for roll pins (4), which or whose pin bush (3) that is placed thereon is surrounded by a bearing bush (3) placed in an insert (2). The bearing bush has at least two inner lying hydrostatic pockets (9, 9?), which are arranged, in essence, in a common axial line and which can be supplied with a pressure medium via a check valve (18) and via boreholes (6, 6?) extending inside the bearing bush (5). Throttles (15, 15?) inside the boreholes (6, 6?) ensure an optimal hydrostatic bearing even when the roll pin (4) or the pin bush (3) is in an oblique position inside the bearing bush (5). The aim of the invention is to improve an oil film bearing of the aforementioned type whereby economically assuring the hydrostatic function of the bearing and in which the inspection of the throttles (15, 15?) is possible without further ado.
Abstract: The invention relates to a door comprising a leaf that is movable between an open position and a closed position, a guiding element which is fixed to the door leaf, interacts with a guide rail, and directs the movement of the door leaf, and a locking device that is movable between a released position in which said locking device releases movement of the door leaf and a locked position in which said locking device counteracts movement of the door leaf. The locking device is provided with a locking element which stops at a contact surface of the guide rail when said locking device is moved into the locked position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a piezoactuator for miniaturized pumps, atomizers, valves or the like. The piezoactuator comprises a piezoceramic disk (1) and a pressure disk (2) coupled to the piezoceramic disk. Said pressure disk is linked on its rim (18) with a substrate (3) in a fluid-tight manner and can be deflected by the piezoceramic disk (1) while modifying the volume of a cavity (4) formed between the pressure disk (2) and the substrate (3). According to the invention, a weak point (6, 9) is provided which extends along the linked rim (18) of the pressure disk (2) and forms a joint when the pressure disk is deflected.

The bottom (7) of the outlet hood (1) has a uniform thickness and is provided with outlet openings (8) which diverge relative to each other. The bottom of the outlet hood (1) is outwardly arched and the outlet openings (8) have a uniform cross section over their entire length which corresponds to the thickness of the bottom (7), and the outlet openings (8) are arranged distributed over the bottom (7).
Abstract: A device for disrupting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) with a projectile, which serves to penetrate and/or destroy at least part of the IED. In addition, an accelerator is provided, which accelerates the projectile when the device is actuated and propels it through a barrel. The accelerator is a cartridge filled with propellant. The cartridge is stored in a magazine and contains an initiator for initiating the acceleration. A primer, which is located at the base of the cartridge, serves as the initiator. Initiation occurs when the primer is struck by a firing pin.
Abstract: A method for semi-endless or endless rolling by casting a metal strand, especially a steel strand, which is cut to length as required after solidification, wherein the cut lengths of cast strand are fed into a roller hearth furnace for heating and homogenizing at rolling temperature and are then fed at rolling temperature into a rolling mill to be rolled out. The continuous casting is continued without interruption during the rolling operation, and a sufficient buffer time for a roll change is maintained in the rolling mill. For carrying out a roll change, the casting rate is reduced as a function of the feed rate of the rolling mill and/or the roll-changing time, and/or the buffer length of the roller hearth furnace, and/or the final rolled thickness after the strand has been cut to length.
