  • Patent number: 6349315
Abstract: A document output apparatus outputs a document made up of plural cells in such a manner that either the characters entered in cells or the backgrounds of the cells are colored in accordance with the kinds of data assigned to the cells. The document output apparatus has plural color tables, and each of these color tables stores plural color information corresponding to respective values of the data. When one of the color tables is designated, color information corresponding to the values of the cells are retrieved from the designated color table. The cells are drawn in the colors defined in the designated color table. Accordingly, it is possible to eliminate the need to define color information for each of the cells of the document.

  • Patent number: 6345889
Abstract: By forming an outer wall over a space around an ink storage chamber of an ink cartridge or by providing convexities arranged at intervals of not more than 10 mm on an outer surface of a housing which forms the ink storage chamber, a possible ink recharging hole provided in the housing is prevented from being sealed. Different kinds of ink cartridges are manufactured which have different inner compositions which cannot be discriminated in appearance. Any desired ink cartridges are selected randomly from those manufactured ones and shipped. This prevents the user from recharging any one of the ink cartridges with an ink from an unreliable source through a possible hole formed in the wall of the ink cartridge to thereby prevent a print head and/or printer from malfunctioning.

  • Patent number: 6345757
Abstract: A reflow soldering furnace in which a printed board and a plurality of electronic parts mounted thereon are subjected to reflow soldering. The furnace comprises a reflow soldering furnace body including a plurality of heating zones defined by furnace walls, a hot-gas applier, and a radiant-heat applier. The hot-gas applier includes a heat source and a fan for blowing a hot gas of a temperature lower than a target temperature for each zone against a printed board. The radiant-heat applier includes a heater for applying radiant heat of a temperature higher than the target temperature to the printed board. The printed board and electronic parts thereon are heated to the target temperature, the melting point of solder, by means of the radiant heat from the heater. Among these electronic parts, small-sized ones with a relatively small heat capacity are restrained from overheating by the low-temperature hot gas from the hot-gas applier.

  • Patent number: 6345152
Abstract: In response to an exposure start instructing operation by an exposure start instructing section, a mirror driving section raises a quick return mirror. After that, a shake detecting/computing section detects and computes a shake state, and an exposure start determining section determines, on the basis of the output of the shake detecting/computing section, whether or not the start of exposure should be allowed. If exposure is allowed by the exposure start determining section, a shutter unit is driven to actually start exposure. Information concerning time from the completion of the mirror driving operation of the mirror driving section to the start of the operation of the shake detecting/computing section or to that of the exposure start determining section is stored in an operation period information storage.

  • Patent number: 6344988
Abstract: A power unit is provided which can perform stable feedback control by reducing a feedback gain, and sufficiently cope with fluctuations in the output voltage occurring according to fluctuations in the input voltage caused by fluctuations in the rotational speed of an engine. A pair of variable control bridge circuits are connected to three-phase output windings of a three-phase generator driven by the engine, and connected in an antiparallel manner to each other to form a cycloconverter for generating a single-phase alternating current to be supplied to a load. A voltage-detecting circuit detects a voltage of the three-phase alternating current. An effective voltage value-calculating circuit calculates an effective value of the voltage of the alternating current. A reference sinusoidal waveform-forming circuit generates a voltage of a reference waveform for controlling the single-phase alternating current.
