The outer carton structure has spaced outer front and rear walls separated from each other by a pair of outer carton side walls and said inner compartment comprises a pair of inner side wall panels and a rear panel. The inner compartment is secured to said outer carbon structure so that rear inner compartment panel is not secured to said rear outer carton wall and the inner compartment side panels are not secured to said outer carton side walls so that when the carton is squared and erected said inner compartment may be erected independently of the squaring of said outer carton by snapping said inner compartment into its erected position. A self-centering beam is also provided to insure the automatic centering of the inner compartment.

Abstract: A device and process for examining the size of particles suspended in a liquid, in particular for determining the MCV of red blood cells, having a measurement aperture traversed by the suspension and two electrodes arranged in the region of the measurement aperture and connected to evaluation circuitry, each of which electrodes producing one pulse per particle passing therethrough, the amplitude of which pulse is a measure of the volume of the particle. A differential discriminator for the pulse amplitudes and a further discriminator are connected in front of the evaluation circuitry wherein the further discriminator permits the passage of only pulses whose duration is less than the duration of a pulse coming from a single particle which has a maximum amplitude determined by the differential discriminator.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for utilizing silicon tetrachloride formed as a by-product of the chlorination of aluminium- and silicon-containing minerals. More particularly, the invention relates to a process for the preparation of aluminium trichloride and silicon dioxide by chlorination of alumina with silicon tetrachloride. According to the invention alumina or a material essentially consisting of alumina is reacted with silicon tetrachloride as a single chlorinating agent at a temperature exceeding 400.degree. C., unreacted silicon tetrachloride is separated from the aluminium trichloride formed and is recycled into the chlorination step, silicon dioxide is isolated from the solid residue essentially consisting of the unreacted alumina and silicon dioxide, unreacted alumina is recycled into the chlorination step and aluminium trichlorine obtained is continuously eliminated.
Abstract: A self-advancing support apparatus for protecting mine gate crossings, and optionally for engaging the reversing/driving head of a longwall and/or gate conveyor. The support apparatus has at least two side by side desired construction but expediently of a construction identical with that of the support unit at the longwall face to which said unit is connected via a coupling element. Each unit includes a base, a canopy, and connected between them, expediently by articulation, bracing elements as well as advancing elements and holding devices mounted on the base, and if so desired, for advancing the reversing/driving head of the longwall conveyor, a guide track extending in the direction of the gate conveyor, and an actuating/controlling unit. A holding mechanism is provided for engaging the reversing/driving head of the longwall conveyor and has at least two degrees of freedom of movement.
Abstract: A process for waving or straightening hair in which an anionic surfactant is added to the hair reducing solution and the hair is treated either during a prewetting step or during neutralization, or both with a cationic polymer product which forms a substantially water insoluble complex with the anionic surfactant in the presence of hair.

Abstract: The invention concerns a shiftable element logical puzzle in the form of a cylindrical body comprised of an assembly of sector shaped cylinder forming elements, said elements forming two identical cylinder halves in the form of upper and lower tiers of six elements each, three of said elements in each tier being identical to each other, but different from the remaining elements, and means joining said elements together to form said cylindrical body and enabling various groupigs of six elements, three from each tier, to rotate relative to the remaining three identical elements about three axes passing through the cylinder body axis but perpendicular thereto.
Abstract: A reversible child resistant closure having a child resistant and a non-child resistant mode of use. The closure is characterized by its low profile and tab that extends outwardly from the closure; this tab being engageable from below when closure is rotated into the appropriate position on the container. An upwardly extending relatively low annular rib is provided on the roof of the closure which serves as the means by which the closure is engaged by the container neck when the closure is inserted into the container neck in its non-child resistant mode.

Abstract: There is disclosed a process for the extraction of thick coal seams by means of which coal seams not extractable in one bank or slice and/or located at peripheral areas may also be extracted under improved mine safety conditions and with high productivity.According to the invention the thick coal seam is if required, divided horizontally and/or vertically into extraction blocks which are bounded and separated by stowing pillars arranged according to the direction of advance of the extraction. The cavity of the pillars is advanced at a level higher than the level of the roof of the extraction space, after which the cavity of the pillar is back-filled. Then the block is extracted by means of block caving in a manner known per se. In a preferred embodiment of the invention incombustible material that agglomerates under the effect of the static pressure of the rock is used for stowing. The utilization of the process for extraction according to the invention results in a considerable increase of intensity.
Abstract: There is disclosed an hydraulic drilling motor for well drilling. The motor is of the push-down axial flow type. It is of vibration-free rotary chamber-type construction functioning with high torque wherein the r.p.m. and capacity of the drilling tool are in proportion with the velocity and pressure of the flowing medium. The motor consists of an internally threaded chamber with an arch parallel with the flow direction of an externally threaded spindle of z.sub.o =z.sub.k (arch or thread)+1, or z.sub.o =z.sub.k -1 thread, of identical course with the chamber, arranged in the chamber. The cross section of the spindle or chamber is prolate, peaked or curate cycloid. When the spindle is cycloid cross sectional, the cross section of the chamber is in the same plane, and when the chamber is in cycloid cross sectional the cross section of the spindle is in the same plane. This is limited by the external or internal envelope curve of the surface touched by the cycloid during relative motion.
