  • Patent number: 4392323
Abstract: A toy for constructing different geometric shapes has a plurality of hollow prismatic identical toy elements having a triangular base and quadratic faces. The elements are connected at two faces to adjoining elements by spring biased headed pins passing through aligned throughbores in the centers of the two faces to permit relative rotation about axis normal to the two faces. The elements are maintained in any one of a plurality of angular orientations by projections on one of the two faces of each element and depressions in the other face of each toy element.

  • Patent number: 4391445
Abstract: There is disclosed a logical toy in which a series of rigid hooks are fixed by legs about the perimeter of a disc. The legs are connected to the disc so that the annular closed part of each hook except the first in the series encloses the legs of the preceding adjacent hook to form a trap with said hook. A closed cord is arranged around the legs of one of the hooks. The object of the toy is to move the cord through the series of hooks.

  • Patent number: 4386657
Abstract: A process for the underground gasification of coal and carbonaceous materials in makes the customary lengthy preliminary task of establishing an underground interconnection between wells and cavities unnecessary. Instead, according to the invention, the circulation of gasifying agents and product gases is between one or more wells and the boundary of an underground generator (i.e. cavity system) through a reaction zone in the generator.

  • Patent number: 4378116
Abstract: A spatial logical toy is formed from a total of eighteen toy elements, out of which two sets of eight identical toy elements two connecting elements are provided. The elements of the two sets have cam members with hollows with spherical convex or concave surfaces in-between. The elements are connected by the aid of the cams and the two remaining centrally positioned substantially identical connecting elements each having a T-shape cross-section and when assembled the toy is in the form of a regular or an irregular solid. Fixation is performed by one single screw passing through bores in the connecting elements. In such a manner the toy elements forming the lateral faces of the spatial logical toy can be rotated along the spatial axes and by yielding several variation possibilities the toy is well suitable for stimulating logical thinking activity.

  • Patent number: 4378117
Abstract: A spatial logical toy in form of a regular geometrical solid, the toy-elements of which are assembled so that halves of the logical toy taken along any axis can be rotated in any direction of any of the spatial axes of the body in relation to the other half. The toy comprises a total of eight toy-elements, seven of which are identically shaped and are designed in such a way, that the corners are directed to the geometrical center of the body forming the spatial logical toy and are formed as profiles with a spherical surface. In the assembled state, between the profiles a hollow connecting element with a spherical surface on the upper part and having a T-shaped cross section is arranged. At the bottom of the hollow part of the connecting elements is a bore and a threaded pivot enclosed by a spring reaching to the bottom of the recess is passed through the bore and the threaded end of the pivot is screwed into a part of the eight toy-element which is directed to the geometrical center of the solid.

  • Patent number: 4368221
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for coating fibrous glass with a glass metal mainly consisting of nickel-phosphorus, under conditions free of current. According to the process a fibrous glass substrate is treated with an aliphatic alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and subsequently with an aqueous solution of SnCl.sub.2, in the presence of hydrochloric acid, and is then activated with a solution of palladium chloride in aqueous hydrochloric acid. Thereafter the pretreated and activated substrate is kept in a bath comprising nickel ammonium sulfate or nickel sulfate and nickel ammonium sulfate as a nickel-containing component, in combination with sodium hypophosphite, an alkali metal salt of at least one organic acid having a low molecular weight, a mineral acid, preferably sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH to 3 to 4, and optionally organic or inorganic metal-deposition regulating agent(s) at a temperature between 50.degree. to 90.degree. • Patent number: 4367204
Abstract: The invention is regeneration and recirculation of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of a nitric acid plant without using any material current and heat energy other than that generated in the process of producing nitric acid. Nitrogen oxide is recovered by at least two adsorbers each containing an acid resistant zeolite molecular sieve and operating in an alternate heat cycle; adsorption occurring at 20-40 degrees C. and regeneration at 300-350 degrees C. The hot gas exiting from the oxidation unit used in the production of nitric acid is used to regenerate the adsorbers and the nitrogen oxides set free during the said regeneration are introduced into the main feed stream of the nitric acid plant. In the final stage of the regeneration the adsorbers are cooled by rinsing them with exhaust gas or air at a temperature of 20-40 degrees C.
