  • Patent number: 6503063
Abstract: A portable air moving apparatus for providing personal air cooling includes a container with open top and supported by plural wheels attached thereto. The container encloses electrical components including a battery, a radial flow air moving device, and a switch. These components are interconnected by electrical conductors such that the switch can make and break a circuit for driving the air moving device with the battery. A removable container lid provides an aperture for receiving an air exhaust from the air moving device which is then directed toward an individual to provide cooling. The container lid is adapted for being set to allow air flow into the container so as to feed the air moving device.

  • Patent number: 6475137
Abstract: A prosthesis device is designed to be subcutaneously implanted into a penis above the corpus cavernosum and extending from the base of the penis to the glans penis. The prosthesis device contains one or more inflatable tubes for enabling an erectile function of the penis, and these are covered by a shaped body for enabling an improved appearance, texture and size to the penis. Integral with the tubes is a base which is mounted to the pubic bone. The invention includes a manual pump preferably implanted into the scrotum and interconnected with the base by a flexible conduit to inflate the tubes. A fluid is pumped into the inflatable tubs for pressurization thereof so as to cause the the penis to become erect. The tubes are directed upwardly in positional orientation so as to enable the penis to move in a more natural manner.

  • Patent number: 6470579
Abstract: Position and angle are measured by a linear device having an elongate frame comprising a pair of parallel arms joined by a cross-arm, each of the arms terminating with an adjustable foot so that the device may be leveled, thereby establishing a level reference platform from which position and direction may be determined. A support bracket is adapted for rigid engagement with the elongate frame and is linearly positionable on it. A laser beam source is removably engagable with the support bracket for positioning a laser beam in a selected and known direction. The feet are spaced for clamping the T-bar sections of a dropped ceiling so as to enable the placement of further T-bars, roof joists and other structural members at selected angles. The arms provide parallel, spaced apart grooves for mounting the apparatus onto the T-bars.

  • Patent number: 6470273
Abstract: A collision warning system includes pairs of optical sensors integral to a moving vehicle. Each of the optical sensors of the pairs of said sensors is enabled for the detection of visible light magnitudes and infrared light magnitudes in the external vicinity of the vehicle, and for creating corresponding electrical signals. Temporal changes in the magnitudes of the electrical signals and a probability of a collision with an object external to the vehicle, are determined and a warning signal is generated when collision is possible. Warning information is presented to alert a vehicle operator as to the possible collision. A reference sensor and an object sensor, are enabled for generating the related electrical signals. The reference and object sensors are positioned in such proximity as to determine when a collision object has entered a sensing field of view.

  • Patent number: 6456053
Abstract: An apparatus for finding studs within walls has an elongated magnet having a round and smooth outer surface. The magnet is attached at one of its ends to a bead chain wherein each of he beads is able to rotate relative to the next so that the magnet is essentially free of any restriction in rotating about its long axis with respect to the chain. In use, the magnet is held suspended from the bead chain and moved across a wall until it detects a metal object within the wall. The magnet then rotates against the wall until it places itself at the center of the object thus defining the center of a stud or other hidden object.
