  • Patent number: 6439575
Abstract: A game apparatus and method of play by a pair of opponents, uses a game board on a level surface or field. A game board indicia resembles an American-Football field with two spaced apart and opposing end zone front lines. A triangularly shaped and flatly formed game piece provides numerical values to its three corners. The game piece is suitable for sliding on the game board, and is thrust back and forth on the board by the contestants or opponents, with game piece generally in contact with the game board, until the game piece is positioned on one of the end zone front lines. Values or scores are assigned to the opponents corresponding to how the game piece is situated on the end zone front lines. Additional points may be acquired through aerial thrusts of the game piece through an upright goal situated at or in the end zones of the game board.

  • Patent number: 6431535
Abstract: A motor test mount apparatus comprises a mount cylinder having bearings fitted for supporting a bearing rod positioned for rotation within the bearings. A mount block and a capping screw each are axially and threadedly engaged with the bearing rod at opposing ends wherein the capping screw is adapted for drawing the mount block toward the mount cylinder upon rotation of the capping screw. A motor mounting plate is engaged with the mount block and is adapted for selective positioning in a mounting plane orthogonal to a rotational axis of the mount cylinder. A plurality of motor mounting arms are adapted for securing a motor to the motor mounting plate, whereby the center of gravity of the motor may be positioned on the rotational axis by adjustment of the mounting plate position in the mounting plane.

  • Patent number: 6419504
Abstract: A power cord connector engages a power outlet of the two wire or three wire types. The connector (plug) has a pair of spaced apart prongs in side by side parallel alignment and a grounding pin which is slidingly mounted within a recess in the connector body so as to be positionable between an extended position in parallel, spaced apart alignment with the prongs, and a retracted position fully enclosed within the recess. A biasing spring is positioned within the recess for urging the grounding pin into the extended position. A locking device includes a finger actuatable slide engaged with a tongue spring enabling the tongue to be moved into a locking position inhibiting retraction of the grounding pin.

  • Patent number: 6419228
Abstract: The present invention provides a board game adaptable to one, two or three levels of play wherein the game board may be set correspondingly to one, two or three physical levels. The board is preferably round and accommodates two, three or four players. Game pieces are placed on the board, during play, from a choice of spots on an outer ring of the game board and progress inwardly toward the center of the board. When a player is able to position his four different color game pieces at the center of the board on corresponding colored game piece spots, and then move the pieces to a home board, he or she is the winner.

  • Patent number: 6415887
Abstract: Within an exhaust duct are positioned a plurality of concentrically arranged, open ended, right cylinders supported axially within the exhaust duct, wherein each of the cylinders includes an inlet end and an exit end. The inlet ends are positioned in sequential downstream order from the outermost of the cylinders to the innermost of the cylinders. The cylinders are graduated in length sequentially with the outermost cylinder being shortest in length and the innermost cylinder being longest in length. The inlet ends of each of the cylinders provide a circular leading edge with a sawtooth conformation. An elongated smooth rod is positioned on the longitudinal axis of the exhaust duct with a downstream end of the rod providing a flared portion positioned at the mouth of the innermost of the cylinders.

  • Patent number: 6414166
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the preparation of tocopherol concentrates from a material containing tocopherols and free fatty acids. The free fatty acids in the tocopherol-containing material are converted to the alkali metal salts thereof in a specific organic solvent that can not, practically, dissolve the alkali metal salts of fatty acids. The free fatty acids are removed as a precipitate of their alkali salts, and the tocopherols are recovered from the supernatant by removing the solvent. The said specific organic solvents include acetone, ethyl acetate, dimethylformamide, acetonitrile and their mixtures. The alkali salts are preferably sodium and potassium salts.

  • Patent number: 6406462
Abstract: A combination pouch and underwear pant is worn by a man for facilitating sexual activity such as lap dancing. The pouch is worn over the sex organs of a man under the underwear pant, which is adapted by an elastic waistband for compressively pinning the pouch in place. The pouch is made of a flexible and elastic material. A top edge of the pouch provides access to an interior of the pouch of a hand and wrist of the wearer so as to facilitate insertion of the wearer's sex organs into the pouch through an aperture, which encircles penis and scrotum. The aperture elastically compresses between a top surface at the base of the penis of the wearer and a bottom surface at the base of the scrotum of the wearer. With the pouch in place, the wearer is able to facilitate the capture of body fluids without fear of the pouch moving away from its preferred position relative to the torso of the wearer.

  • Patent number: 6406101
Abstract: A shock absorbing bicycle wheel hub apparatus uses an open ended, cylindrical shock absorber housing mounted concentrically within a wheel hub. The wheel hub is adapted for rotation about the shock absorber housing. A pivot rod is axially aligned with the shock absorber housing and rotationally mounted within its sidewall. Terminal ends of the pivot rod engage cover plates fixedly mounted thereon. A pressure tube is axially aligned with the shock absorber housing and extends through it so that its terminal ends may be fixed in the cover plates. A shock absorbing medium is compressively positioned between the pressure tube and an interior surface of the shock absorber housing. The cover plates engage a bicycle fork so that weight supported by the bicycle fork is transmitted through the cover plates and the pressure tube to the shock absorbing medium, and thereby, through the shock absorber housing and the wheel hub to a wheel of the bicycle.

  • Patent number: 6393821
Abstract: A building structure encloses a gaseous mixture of air and a combustible fuel. Air is obtained from the atmosphere, and the gaseous fuel is obtained from natural evolution and diffusion processes associated with rotting of materials, as from landfills, and gaseous digestion products from livestock, etc. A process control system is engaged for drawing off the gaseous mixture, at a selected air-fuel ratio, from the structure. The selected gaseous mixture is drawn from the building, through a compressor and then a pre-heater, into a catalytic combustor where the mixture is burned and directed into a turbine for producing work. This work is preferably converted into electricity by a generator driven by the turbine. A process controller senses process variables such as temperature, pressure, latent heat of fusion, etc. so as to assure that combustion cannot occur prematurely, but does occur most efficiently in the catalytic combustor. Process heat is exchanged for preheating the mixture to be burned.

  • Patent number: 6394401
Abstract: The present invention provides a ADJUSTABLE BOUQUET DESIGN STAND which includes a positioning stand and a flower stems receiver. The positioning stand can be adapted to a wall or a floor attachment, and is enabled for being adjusted in height and for pivotal motion around the stand's longitudional axis. The invention also provides for fixed positioning of the flower stems receiver, thus enabling an essentially infinite number of fixed variations of the flower stand's height and attitude necessary for a flower bouquet designing. Additionally, the flower stems receiver is provided with a clamping device which has a manual lever located on the flower stems receiver's peripheral wall and a spring member which is enabled for clamping the flower stems to the inner wall of the stem receiver in a diagonal direction.
