Abstract: A reflective printed article includes a substrate having a top surface and a bottom surface with a graphic image printed thereon. A reflective or glossy ink layer is printed over the entire top surface of the substrate. A graphic image is printed over the reflective ink layer. The image may cover the entire portion of the reflective layer or only selected portions thereof. The graphic image includes hidden or latent images printed within the graphic image layers. An optional glossy layer of transparent ink may be printed over the graphic image. A textured pattern of lines is printed or applied in sections over the optional glossy layer or graphical image, with each line in the section printed at the same angle or orientation, with the lines of adjacent sections printed at different angles in order to reflect light in different directions to create the illusion of depth, three-dimensionality, hidden images and motion.

Abstract: A lamp adjuster for adjusting the aim of a headlamp is disclosed. The lamp adjuster includes an input shaft, a ball stud bracket in threaded engagement with the input shaft and an o-ring mounted on the ball stud bracket. Rotation of the input shaft causes linear translation of the ball stud bracket, thereby adjusting the aim of the lamp.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process by which an extract comprising integral thylakoids is obtained. The resulting extract is a potent dynamic antioxidant useful as a ROS (reactive oxygen species) scavenger. This extract is intended to be used for the treatment or prevention of diseases involving the generation of ROS, such as inflammatory diseases or cancer. This extract also finds a use as a solar screen because of its capacity to capture UV radiations and to dissipate the solar energy into heat.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for testing a container as to leakage and defects. The apparatus is especially useful for testing plastic bottles because it does not contact one or more of the bottle sides during testing. A frame with the test components may be adjusted so that the apparatus will fit many different conveyor configurations and container sizes. A container is moved along by a conveyor, where it is sensed by a photo-eye to initiate testing. The test probe makes contact with the container opening, and travels with the container during testing. The test probe introduces air into the container and detects the maximum pressure and pressure decay. If the pressures are not within an acceptable range, the container is ejected from the conveyor.

Abstract: A lamp assembly that may be used as a fog lamp or headlamp includes a mounting bracket, a reflector, and an adjuster. The reflector is pivotally mounted to the mounting bracket and the adjuster is secured to the reflector. The adjuster is secured to the mounting bracket such that rotation of an aiming screw forming part of the adjuster causes pivoting of the reflector and aiming of the lamp. The adjuster is secured to the bracket prior to the reflector being mounted to the mounting bracket. The bracket and adjuster are provided in pre-assembled fashion.

Abstract: An adjustable kennel provides an enclosure for an animal that is lightweight, expandable and collapsible for storage and travel. The kennel has a semi-rigid frame that can be adjusted for size and an expandable, pliable cover allowing the kennel to be adjusted appropriately for the animal occupying it. When in use, the frame includes slidably expandable support members such that the kennel can accommodate different sized animals or can be adjusted to be used over a long period of time as an animal grows.

Abstract: This invention relates to formulations for the prevention of infection and/or abnormal conditions of mucosae and/or skin caused by any pathogen and/or any disease, and more particularly for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections specially HIV and HSV. This invention also relates to formulations for the treatment of infection and/or abnormal conditions of skin and/or mucosac and more particularly for the treatment of herpetic lesions. The formulations could be used as a prophylactic agent to prevent accidental infection of health care workers. The formulations could be used for the healing and/or treatment of bum wounds and prevention of further infection. This invention also relates to the development of a unique vaginal/ano-rectal applicator for the uniform delivery of any topical formulations to treat and/or prevent any infection and/or abnormal conditions of mucosa cavity caused by any pathogen and/or disease.

Abstract: A retractable window covering for arched or palladian style windows. The covering has a pair of shade members that can be remotely operated by an activator such as a pull cord for opening and closing the shades. The shade members are suspended from a carriage that is movable within an arched track. The shade members can be drawn along the track in opposite directions independently from a horizontal retracted position to an expanded position such that the shade members meet at the apex of the arched window. The present invention includes an embodiment that includes a shield to cover a portion of the drive assembly resting on the window sill or other horizontal surface.

Abstract: A stator for use in internal combustion engine, the stator comprises a central core having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a plurality of openings extending therethrough. The central core includes a plurality of poles extending outwardly from the periphery of the core. The periphery of the core and the poles are electrically insulated from the central core by an insulating material. Wire is wound on the poles to produce wire coils around each of the poles. The wire coils are electrically connected to lead wires from ignition and/or charging system circuitry or components. Wires from the wire coils and the lead wires are inserted into at least one of the openings in the central core where they are terminated and secured with lead wires from ignition and/or charging system circuitry or components. The wires from the wire coils and the lead wires can also be connected prior to their insertion into the openings wherein the connected wires are secured.
