  • Patent number: 6691465
Abstract: A sliding door closer assembly including an elongated anchor bracket that is attached to a wall section above the trailing edge of a sliding door. One end of a spring is attached to the anchor bracket at a selected point along the length thereof, and the opposite end of the spring is attached to the leading edge of the sliding door. Upon opening the sliding door, the spring is tensioned between the stationary anchor bracket and the advancing edge of the sliding door, and upon release of the sliding door, the tensioned spring pulls the sliding door back into the closed position as the spring returns to the non-tensioned configuration.

  • Patent number: 6619559
Abstract: An electronic scent-delivery system (10) is provided having one or more cartridges (100) filled with scented oil and maintained within pockets (53) of a tray (50) slidable within a tray support member (40) of a housing (20,30,60). Heating elements (76) are provided for indirectly heating the scented oil to an evaporative state, and acutating apparatus (92) are provided for engaging the cartridges to enable the scented evaporate to escape the cartridges. A blowing apparatus (86) provides an airflow over the tops of the cartridges, thereby directing the scented evaporate out of the housing through vents (65) in the housing faceplate (60) and into the surrounding environment.

  • Patent number: 6599452
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing molded simulated stone and wood architectural articles for buildings and homes. The method incorporates a unique mold assembly including a resilient silicone rubber mold supported within a rigid mold cradle/foundation, and a vented lid having a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) interior surface. The silicone rubber mold is initially treated with a liquid polyester gel coating that is cured and then coated with an acrylic/vinyl ester back coating. Once the back coating is cured, a predetermined volume of a modified high-density, natural mineral fiber-reinforced, 2-component hybrid polyurethane liquid expanding composition is dispensed therein and the mold is covered with the vented lid. The system is pressurized and heated to produce a molecularly-fused, lightweight rigid article having the desired architectural shape.
