Abstract: An error feedback system for use in correcting habitual keyboarding errors makes use of a set of markers for the keys that are mis-keyed. Each marker has an indicating side which can be identified by a user by feel and an adhering side which allows the marker to be adhered to the top surface of the key. The indicating side provides immediate feedback about a keyboarding error so that the error is not reinforced and repeat errors are minimized.

Abstract: An electric space heater uses the heat generated by quartz-halogen lamps to heat air which may be supplied to heat a local space. The heater conducts air through a heater enclosure in which the lamps are installed. The air path is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamps. The air is warmed by conduction from the surface of the lamps and from heated walls surrounding the lamps and which form the air flow path. The walls are heated by radiation from the lamps. The flow path for the heated air and the placement of the heated walls substantially isolate the outer portion of the heater enclosure from the heat generated by the lamps to maintain the temperature of the outer surface of the space heater at or near ambient temperature. The walls also confine the light generated by the lamps to the interior of the space heater. The air flow through the space heater is assisted by an electric fan.
Abstract: A converter for purifying exhaust gases from lean-burn engines, in particular for controlling the amount of NOx and soot from a diesel engine in transient operation such as a vehicle. The converter contains a catalyst bed with a catalyst effective for NOx reduction with a chemical reductant when the catalyst bed is with a certain temperature window and when the ratio between the molar amount of chemical reductant and NOx is above a certain minimum ratio. The catalyst bed is heated or cooled to a temperature within the temperature window and a switching valve is provided for reverse flowing the exhaust gases through the converter to maintain the catalyst bed at a temperature within the temperature window for a longer time than is possible with a conventional non-flow-reversing converter.

Abstract: A disposable standing trash bag including a flexible container supported by a foldable frame. The frame includes at least one pair of vertically stacked horizontal hoops and a plurality of vertical supports. The supports are pivotally connected to the hoops and fold radially inwardly when the trash bag is folded. A slider restrains folding of the vertical supports when the trash bag is standing but can be released by turning the frame upside down so that the trash bag can be folded for storage, shipment or reuse.
Abstract: A sanitizing device for a telephone handset having a mouthpiece and an earpiece. The device has a pair of receptacles each of which has a plate that when pressed by the mouthpiece or earpiece rotates, scrubbing the outer surface of the mouthpiece and the earpiece. In a preferred form, a compartment is attached to each of the receptacles. A roll of material treated with a disinfectant is journaled in each compartment and is dispensed as sheets as the mouthpiece and the earpiece are pressed against the plates. The sheets then rotate with the plates, scrubbing the outer surface of the mouthpiece and the earpiece with disinfectant.
Abstract: A portable safety anchor for use in an aperture with side jambs such as a door or window as a tie off for a safety line.
