Abstract: A floating-and-diving fishing plug with a lip on the front end for pulling the plug under the water when it is reeled quickly. The plug additionally having a propeller and a central drive shaft for oscillating front and rear leg elements without a positive connection between the shaft and the legs. The legs are journaled in the plug with the end portions of the front legs angled towards the front of the body and oscillating below the journal axis of the front leg so that the front legs are not swept back and pinned by the water flowing over the plug.
Abstract: A fishing apparatus having a fishing seat and a fishing rod holder. The fishing seat includes a base which positions a chair mounted on a pedestal relative to the fishing rod holder and a foot operated treadle. The chair includes a seat and a back rest which are connected by a pair of folding brackets. The foot operated treadle is attached to the base in front of the chair. The foot operated treadle is attached to a rear cradle of the fishing rod holder via a line. A resilient member which biases the fishing rod holder against a stop member is attached to a front cradle of the fishing rod holder and to a rod mounting member. The rod mounting member mounts the fishing rod holder to the base adjacent to the chair. The device is operated by the foot of a fisherman sitting in the chair. The fisherman actuates the treadle in response to a fish strike in order to set the hook into the fish.
Abstract: Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) deficiency is the cause of many autoimmune, muscle and bone wasting disorders in humans and animals. Ratite muscle and bone extracts provide a rich source of ATP and regulatory proteins which can be used in treating conditions associated with ATP deficiency.
Abstract: A cervical clamp for preventing reflux of a fluid medium such as carbon dioxide or a saline solution injected into a uterus. The clamp has a plurality of outwardly bowed, flexible fingers for gripping a cervix. The fingers operate between an open finger position for receiving the cervix and a closed finger position for grasping the cervix and radially compressing it against a sheath in the cervical canal through which the fluid medium is injected into the uterus.
Abstract: A shoe donning enabler adapted for use with a dressing stick but which can be used without a dressing stick by some patients. The enabler can be attached to an ordinary pair of shoes and may be supplied as a conversion kit. The enabler has a ring supported at the back of a shoe on a lace, a first end of which is attached to the ring and a second end of which is threaded through a pair of holes provided in the back of the shoe. The second end of the lace passes from the inside of the shoe through one of the holes, passing back through the second hole into the inside of the shoe and is attached to the ring. The lace is long enough that the ring hangs outside the shoe where it can be hooked with a dressing stick or finger.
Abstract: A siphon freeze drain valve for an underground water sprinkling system including a line operating under water pressure, the drain valve being a U-shaped tube, one end of which is passed through a hole in the top of the line, the other end of which is outside the line at a lower level than the first end. A clamp and a seal holds the tube in the line against the force of the water in the line and prevents leaking around the tube. A check valve is in the end of the tube outside the line, the check valve selectively opened and closed to control flow through the tube and for establishing a siphon for draining the line.
Abstract: A rake arm assembly for supporting a finger wheel on a side delivery rake such as a V-rake. The rake arm assembly has a shaft journaled under a support frame for the finger wheels. One end of the shaft is attached to a rake arm and the other end to a crank arm. A torsion spring on the shaft applies a torque to the rake arm reducing the weight of the finger wheel on the ground over a wide vertical range so that the finger wheel stays in contact with the ground and rides over mounds without bending the fingers.

Abstract: A mycoherbicidal delivery composition prepared from an inoculum of a fungal pathogen in an amount sufficient to control growth of an aquatic weed on a biocarrier comprising a plurality of discrete particles derived from a residual cell mass remaining fter lipids, proteins and sugars have been removed from oil seeds. The composition is formed as a cohesive, non-agglutinating dough which is shaped and dried to a low moisture content. The composition is shelf stable in dried form and can be used for targeted delivery of the mycoherbicide to an aquatic weed.
Abstract: A continuously curved drawbar adapted to be mounted in a receiver hitch for extending the bed of a transport vehicle and enhancing load carrying capacity. The drawbar is formed as a box beam with a straight section at one end for receipt in the receiver hitch and rising above the receiver hitch at the second end. An adapter is provided at the end second for mounting a load. The curved drawbar reduces the amount of high-load impact transferred to the receiver hitch and resists permanent deflection.
Abstract: A fishing rod holder with an open frame and front and rear cradles pivoted with a lever about a mounting member upon which it is mounted. The frame is resiliently biased against a stop to prevent over-rotating and the frame is preferably offset for use with a fishing rod having an offset or decurved handle.
Abstract: A clinical care recliner with a support frame, a lazy-tong linkage, a seat, sidearms, back-rest and a leg-rest. The sidearms laterally confine the patient and are removable so that any spilled body fluids between the seat and the sidewall can be cleaned away. The removable sidearms also facilitate lateral transfer of a patient into and out of the recliner without lifting. The back-rest has a swing-out support for stabilizing the back-rest in Trendelenburg position.
Abstract: A hair growth promoter capable of acting as a cosmetic, reducing alopecia, eliminating alopecia, increasing hair growth or any combination thereof is disclosed. The hair growth promoter comprises a colloidal silver, copper and gold complex in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, formed from silver, copper and gold colloids made electrically. The promoter is applied to a treatment area in an amount sufficient to wet the scalp at least one time a week.
Abstract: An air purification system comprises a housing, a generally S-shaped duct mounted within the housing, at least one blower mounted within the housing for circulating air through the system, and purification structure for removing contaminants from the air. The system preferably comprises two blowers, a master control switch for activating one of the blowers to circulate air through the filter, and a secondary control switch for activating the other blower and the UVC source to initiate a UVC purification process to further purify the filtered air.
Abstract: A surgical forceps for use in clamping vascular tissue in a body cavity where the tissue being clamped may not be in full view of an operator. The forceps have jaws of uneven length with a projection on the longer jaw starting immediately at the end and extending above the shorter jaw when the forceps are closed. The shorter jaw closes adjacent the projection, with minimal space between, thus ensuring that a selected vascular tissue is contained between the jaws and the projection.
Abstract: A three dimensional border for providing a decorative appearance as a crown molding or chair rail that can be installed and removed without damaging the wall or the border. The border has an elongated panel, preferably made of styrofoam, with a front face and a rear face. A form is attached to the front face of the panel with a surface upon a which a decorative treatment can be applied. The rear face is attached to the wall by nails or hooks set in the wall forming a recess in the rear face of the panel as the border is pressed against the wall.
